Nice fit. Jacket is sufficiently warm when layered with another piece of clothing when temperature is down to about 40 degree F. Not warm enough when temperature is below freezing.

I bought this coat almost 2 months ago and overall I am very pleased with this purchase. I do have one wish for it_and inside pocket to hold my phone.

The down jacket fits well and is long enough to prevent cold breeze on the lower back. The drawstring at the bottom also helpful. It does not have a snap at bottom which would relieve strain on the zipper and prevent potential failure.

I bought this jacket for my husband for early-mid spring (temps 35-50 F.) While it seems perfect for that, this runs small. I had to order 2 sizes up.

Nice jacket, very warm. Unfortunately, they run small. I read reviews that said they ran small. I typically wear men's large so, I ordered XL. It was too tight. I exchanged it for an XXL and it fits perfectly.

Light/very warm, but fleece lining hard to put on.

The stitching around the shoulder and sleeve area feels a bit strange. My husband normally wears size XL and it fits him comfortably with enough room to lift his arms. But with this jacket, we had to size up to XXL; otherwise, he couldn't move his arms comfortably. Luckily, I read the previous reviews. The quality is good.

I am a 6'0" 170lb man living in Alaska who requires multiple layers in the winter for -20 to -40 degree winter nights. This is a good middle layer to protect you from wind and cold. Would recommend combining with a dri-fit base layer, and then a heavy parka to go over the down jacket and you'll be very comfortable in sub freezing weather.
If you scroll through all the reviews, you'll see a lot of people recommend getting one size larger than you normally would. Most of the reviews said the arms and chest were tight. I'm normally a medium traditional fit (I have an athletic, runner's build) so I took everyones' advice and ordered a Large. It fits well overall, but I could have easily gotten my normal medium and that would have been okay in hindsight (the jacket is slightly bulky as a Large for my Medium frame, but not too bad).
If you want the honest truth, most of the people who said order a size up were objectively overweight for their height (for example, a 5'4" person at 200+lbs ordered a Medium, that wasn't smart, of course it's going to be a tight fit...), so the recommendation to order up can be misleading. The safest answer is order your normal size, and worst case scenario is you ship it back for a size larger. Either way, it gets the job done.

I love the style and the light weight and the warmth it provides. The only negatives I have is the fleece lining in the shoulder area that makes shirts bunch up, especially in the arm pits, and the narrow opening for arms to enter the sleeves.

Nice warm jacket, a little more bulky than I expected. It has a fleece like lining which is very soft but also catches on your shirt sleeves when you try to put the jacket on. I am 6' 1" and 200 lbs. I needed the extra-large size.

I am 6 foot tall, 210 lbs, ordered a Large Tall (which is what i wear in their shirts). Fit is a little snug in the middle, everything else is good.
They have dropped the price 20 dollars since I got this coat.
The material inside the coat makes it difficult to put on over certain types of shirts too...
Its OK , but not spectacular.

I wanted to wait for a cold day to write this review, and today it hit 3 degrees Fahrenheit. The jacket is perfectly warm for 3 to 40 degrees. The sleeves could be constructed a little better, as the lining comes out every time. They are slim at the opening and there is nothing keeping the lining in place.

Jacket looks very nice and fits well but I don't like the flannel lined sleeves. The flannel makes it difficult to slip on the jacket sleeves over clothing.

I'm a huge fan of L.L Bean and have never been disappointed with their products. I ordered a large jacket, my usual size, and found this particular jacket runs on the small side. The quality is excellent and it really keeps you warm, however, it's so tight that I have to dress lightly to use it. I'm 6'2" and weigh 180 so I'm not on the "chubby" side. I would recommend ordering one size up as I wish I had. If you are looking for nice down jacket that will keep you warm this winter, pull the trigger but consider ordering one size larger than you normally would.

Original Large size didn't fit, but XL was perfect. Not true to size. Product looks great and works well.

This jacket would get 5 stars if it had inside pockets, even one. But it does not.

Warmer than my other jackets, but I was still hoping it would be a bit warmer.

The jacket is attractive and comfortable, suitable for cold weather. One major design flaw keeps it from five stars. The upper lining grabs your inner garment and pulls it up to your elbow. It was apparently tested by someone wearing a short-sleeved shirt. If one is cold enough for a down jacket, one is probably not wearing a short-sleeved shirt. Otherwise, it's a nice jacket.

I got the color block Red and blue coat. I thought it was really sharp and warm. Some people are saying this isn't that warm of a jacket. It's probably not your go to coat at zero degrees out but it is warm. Give a bother look and the cost is lined with fleece which most down jackets are not. Now I will agree with some other reviewers about this coat. It is fitted which I prefer as I'm an athletic build. I don't like when coats look boxy on people. Anyways, it does fit snug with a fleece pull over or sweater on. It take a little bit to get used but some Other coats I own are like this. That's the trade with a semi-fitted coat. Overall I still give it 4 out of 5. I do REALLY wish in the modern area it had a cell phone pocket either an exterior chest zipper pocket or an inside pocket.

So I'm 6'5", ordered the xlt. The waist length is actually pretty perfect. Beyongd that, pretty nice little jacket. Loved the colors, great fit, plenty warm. Like the others, I think the fleece lining is not the best decision, it gets caught on my sleeves every time I take it off/put it on. And the cuffs kind of suck. But overall these are small flaws and I'm happy with the purchase.

Seems well constructed, good fit and warm as you'd expect. But the light fleece on the interior back part of the jacket is a pretty big flaw. It makes it very difficult to put the jacket on, especially when wearing a shirt or pullover that isn't very smooth. It clings to your shirt and pulls the jacket fabric causing it to bunch up. I'd read criticism of it and doubted it was that big of a deal, but it kind of is.

The sleeves have the same fleece as the lining so ones arms do not easily slide into the sleeves. It causes your sweater to ride up your arm. There is no pocket for a cell phone
