Great coat, super warm, fits well, and great quality!

This coat is WARM! I expected it to be cut a bit snug through the body and it is, indeed. A light to medium weight layer is about all that will fit underneath, but in NC it doesn't get all that cold anyway. The coat is well made and quite good looking.

Excellent!! Well priced and high quality! Follow the size chart. It fits perfectly! So happy with it during these cold days.

I love thre well made jacket. I found handy pockets I didn't know existed. Very warm. Very happy with this jacet. A little longer in length which is wonderful for sitting on a cold surface. Also length keeps legs and bottom warm

Like this coat a great deal. It is going to be great for those cold days when snow shoveling.

It seems like a great coat and functions as it should, I like that! The pants I returned for a different size probably two weeks ago and haven't heard back from anyone. Sure would like them please

It's warm (very) but not bulky. Perfect length for extra warmth. My only "issue" is that I wish the hood could be shortened with a strap in the back as it tends to fall down over my eyes. I wear it with a stocking cap though and the issue is solved.

Zipper is very good quality. Coat is very well made.

This parka is the lightest weight, yet warmest parka for the money. Best money I have spent.

I spent my first weekend with this coat in Chicago in 20 degree weather a week ago. Even in the brisk Windy City, it kept me incredibly warm, and I walked around outside a lot. I would highly recommend this coat.

Super warm and fits great with bulky sweater underneath. The price was great. CT winters are very cold and this was perfect. Have a couple of Bean parkas but this is becoming my favorite.

Good comfortable fit and very warm. Wearing just a t-shirt underneath, I am confortable in blustery 30F weather. The sizing function on the LLBean website works pretty good.

Love this parka! I spend 1 hour in a school parking lot each day, many of which with 20 degree weather. This parka allows me to wear just 1 layer under it. The hood is perfect. I looked all over for a down parka this is by far the best deal I could find. Not only is the price good but it out performs my 650 Marmot down coat. Looks much heavier that it is.

I'm 6'3", 175lbs and got the medium tall parka. It fits perfect and super warm!

Back in the day I did a lot of winter mountaineering. Nothing at that time worked in real snow storm conditions. Not enough insulation, hood did not come forward enough to shield the face, sleeves were not long enough. About that time Frostline started offering pre-cut sew it yourself down jackets. I have an engineering degree and reasoned I could figure out how to sew. So I bought a machine, kit, extra fabric, and down packets. Trip after trip I would come up with a new idea, zipper under the arms to vent, zipper back hood extensions to shield the face when needed, etc. I was glad to have the experience to implement the ideas. Fast forward 40 years and some extra, stubborn weight accumulated and my winning jacked won't fit. I got this L L Bean jacket just as the weather got in the windy low 20's. I love this jacket! Covers the butt, wrists, and face. My joints have gotten to uncertain that I stay off the harder trails but it WORKS as intended.........

So I bought this a little over a month ago because winter here in Idaho is approaching and I am always a bit cold walking my dog every morning in the park. This year has been especially cold due to the artic blast that has descended upon us the first of November. I am very happy with this purchase. I have used it every day since I bought it and it always stands up to whatever the weather brings. Today was the coldest day so far, 13 degrees F with about a 10 mph wind, and I was perfectly comfortable. In fact near the end of my walk (20 minutes) I felt like I was starting to sweat just a touch. I usually wear a T shirt with a wool sweater under the parka when it's this cold, otherwise just a long sleeve T. As far as sizing, I'd say it fits a little big, probably to accommodate other layers. I wear a large shirt size unless I'm using it as a base layer where I want it to fit tight, then a medium. I ordered a medium parka and it's just right.

I bought this before. Warm, especially with the Hood and easily cared for. The zippered pockets within the other pockets are a nice feature.

Warm and well made. So glad the long sizing gave my son more length in the sleeves and torso.
