It is not uncommon to receive products purchased online and find them not quite as pictured. That wasn't the case here. I smiled when I received it because it was exactly what the photos and narrative claimed. I wear a medium flannel shirt but the medium in this vest was too tight. However, LLBean quickly and easily exchanged it for a large. You must know it is a warm vest and I don't have as many chances to wear it as I might have had when we lived in Minnesota. This vest works in situations requiring dress casual and great as an around the house vest. Another fine LLBean product.

Finally found a vest that works indoors, outdoors, by itself, or layered. This one vest does it all for me. Warm without being heavy or bulky.

Bought the vest for my son for Christmas. He loves it! They were out of Tall so I tried the regular size. My son is 6'5" and he just couldn't make it work even though he's very thin. Very well made and looks great over a button up oxford!

I like the way this sweater is designed, no lining, just wool. The collar is made of swede, or faux swede ( sp?) and is just fine. I need an XL but my mistake or theirs - I received an XXL. Further, I like the dark loden color much better than the green color they had for this vest several years ago. I have requested an XL, and Bean has put it on back order. I hope I receive it. I have a navy blue version of this vest which is about 5 years old and it has performed quite well. I hope they have not gone through a cost reduction and cheapened the product.

My father loves his vest - beautiful color (loden), cozy, well-made, warm and comfortable. This Christmas gift was a big hit! Recommended.

Husband wears vests nearly year-round and decided to try this one. Fit perfect and not too bulky or long. A keeper! Hope offered in other colors.

This is great for maintaining core body heat while active in cold weather. Very comfortable and stylish. I wear it around the house and it's equally appropriate when we go out to dinner. If you offered it in other colors, I'd buy a second one in a heartbeat.

I had tried sweaters and was never happy with any of them because the sleeves were always hard to get over my shirts. This vest goes on easy, looks dressy, but not too dressy to wear anywhere. Wear it on really cold days under my overcoat and on cool days as my outer layer. On really cold days, leave it on all day at the office.

My son was so happy with it, he wore it home! He has probably worn it everyday since his birthday!

I'm no hunter but I like the outdoor look of this vest. It's a nice alternative to fleece -- bulkier but soft to the touch, and warmer, and the trim makes it a bit dressier. I don't know about hunting but at this price you won't want to wear it for outdoor work. Looks nice over a long-sleeve T for casual wear, or could be worn for warmth under a windbreaker for a cool weather walk.

Paired with the right shirt and jacket this vest is at home on the deer stand, for a walk down a country lane, in church, at dinner or by the fire side. After the first one I bought two more.

I purchased this vest for the shoulder season and to provide an additional layer of warmth in the winter months in Santa Fe at 7,000 ft elevation. It has worked admirably on both accounts. The fit is comfortable and the workmanship is very good. I would definitely purchase again.

Liked it so much that I purchased a second one, the Navy color, love it too.

Just recently purchased my third Waterfowl Sweater Vest. The quality of this most recent purchase is on par with my older ones from a few years ago. I like the versatility of being able to wear it alone or under a coat depending on the level of chill in the air. The collar is a little stiff at first, but will loosen up with use, and I have no problems with the zipper on mine as some other reviews have reported. These vests along with my Waterfowl Sweaters are my main go to's for winter wear here in Eastern North Carolina. Try one, I'm sure you'll like it as much as I do mine.

Warm, good-looking sweater vest. Bought it for my husband as we were noticing that older, non-cashmere sweaters are warmer than the ubiquitous and thinner-every-year cashmere ones. Thick wool and beautiful style, he has enjoyed this especially during this cold winter.

Great laying under a coat or jacket on real cold days. Primarily wool. Good looking and fit as described. Nice zipper and collar. Cool days wear on its own.ver6 sporty.

I bought one of these several years ago. I wear it whenever I am home during the winter. Every day. It's warm and soft. With it zipped up in the neck, it can work with a sport coat on warmer days. I bought a lighter color to wear out with khakis.
