Thick, substantial knit with a soft collar lining; this is a serious winter sweater but still really comfortable.

Nice sweater and it fits. Well worth the money.

The fit is perfect. It is loose enough to be comfortable but it isn't sloppy or baggy. It pairs well with jeans or casual slacks. The knit is nice & tight and the weight is perfect for Texas winters. In ten years when we get snow and freezing temps again, we can put a heavy parka over this while we wait for our electricity to come back on! But...beautiful sweater, no joke.

Was not my style.

I always wear a 3XL, but this sweater runs large ...very large. So I returned it and ordered a 2XL and fits perfectly. Really nice sweater. Definitely on the heavier side - but a great winter piece for Massachusetts' winters.

I liked the description, but I like the fit even more. Its really comfortable. Fits as if it were made especially for me. I happen to like real materials, so the fact that it's merino wool was a big factor. It's just very comfortable. Been wearing it fishing through the winter and it keeps me warm, conforms to my body and doesn't get in the way like some garments seem to do. Very happy with the purchase; great value and fun to wear.

I like wool sweaters. This one is warm and soft.

Perfect for chilly weather. It is roomy by any measure but just what I needed for the mountain cold.

I have a blue water fowl sweater and a vest. I've had them for several years. Massachusetts winters can be extremely cold and snowy. This sweater is perfect for dressing in layers without having to wear a bulky coat in the car. I get cold even sitting in my favorite chair at home when I read. I put on my vest and it keeps me very comfortable. I purchased the latest sweater in the green color and I love this.

This is beautiful...warm sweater.....I wear a large in everything....and the large here was too big...exchange went very smoothly...the medium was perfect so I would say the sweater is cut a bit large...it fits great...beautiful thick lambswool......I love the blue color I ordered....this is perfect match for dress slacks or jeans......can't beat the price and LL Bean service

This sweater is very handsome so I receive quite a few complements on how I look. It is warm without being suffocating and does not scratch my sensitive skin. The color is also just what I was looking for.

I love this sweater. I have now ordered/own three sweaters and one vest. They were described as roomy to allow multiple layers underneath. My first sweater was a large. I can easily get three layers under the sweater. I have now ordered three mediums. I can easily get two layers underneath. LL Bean has thought through all of the details. They are very warm. Good design. Well made. Would highly recommend. Keep in mind they are somewhat oversized compared to other LL Bean Sweaters or Coats. This is by design.

Excellent quality providing warmth and good style. The suede around the inside of the collar adds a nice feel. The wool is soft and feels good. I purchased the blue and plan to get a tan or brown one later.

Bought this sweater and it is superb. Heavy duty sweater and great quarter zip neck. Although its a thick wool it is not scratchy or itchy in the least. I love the reinforced parts woven into the sweater. Im a big guy, 6' and 245. The XXL fit fine and has loose comfortable fit.

The Waterfowl Sweater is a very comfortable sweater. It fits very well and is great for casual and dress wear, It does an excellent job of keeping one warm.

These are the best outdoor sweaters on the planet. I use one for working outside, one for hunting, and one for casual if we're outdoors in cold. Don't need the wind proof one. Put a vest over one of these and you're set down to single digits easily. They move, the keep me warm whether its standing in a duck blind or splitting wood or general outdoor work. Superb

Absolutely love to wear this sweater. The color, fit and build quality are top notch. I live in central NJ and can wear this outside in temperatures that are in the mid 20s and still be very comfortable. Received compliments on the look and fit. I can reccomend this without any hesitation.

This was a Christmas gift and he loved it! The fit was true to size and the color, dark loden, was perfect.

Firstly I am a wool lover, almost all of my favorite clothes are wool. This has moved right up the ranks quickly. I originally bought this to layer but except for a week of single digit temps this has been all I need for back and forth to work. I have enough wind proof shells that I bought the plain sweater without windshear. The length of the sweater is perfect for concealed carry without hanging up on the draw. Overall this is a great product that I am very pleased with.

My boyfriend is raving over this sweater. Exactly what he wanted. It fits great, looks great, and has a great feel.

I ordered a standard XL and returned it for an XL Tall. I needed a little more length in the arms and general length. The Tall was the ticket.

Since the sweater is made of wool, it needs to be worn over a layer. It is also so warm that it is difficult to wear indoors. The fit is spot on, and the weight is light enough that freedom of movement is not hindered. It will be a great addition to layering in the northern states that have experienced so much snow this winter.
