My husband loves his new sweater, it is very warm and the design is classic.

The fabric is soft and drapes the body beautifully. Soft on the skin and true to size.

Beautiful, high-quality sweater. Just order one size smaller than you would with other brands and it will fit perfectly.

I've been wearing LL Beans commando sweaters for years. They are durable, warm, and well priced. I normally wear the crew neck, but this time I bought a henley, and I like it just as well. My other sweaters are fine, I just wanted a new one. I use one of these for yard work, and I mean tossing logs over one shoulder and lugging them around, dragging trees out of the woods, and whatever other dirty job that needs to be done, and that sweater looks no worse than the other two, which I reserve for casual wear. They are machine washable, but be careful drying them. They are made from top quality merino wool. You can shrink them if you're not careful.

I lost my first one at the gym (looks like someone liked it too!), so I bought it again. I am XL Tall, Slim Fit. Fits great. Love the extra long, roll-up sleeves and the fabric, which does not itch my sensitive skin.

Great heavy duty sweater. I purchased this specifically for cold weather to wear under my thicker jacket and the collar is great for laying under another jacket. The elbow pads are durable and seem like they'll hold up to the wear. The sizing is pretty accurate. It is a little 'scratchy' but that's understood when you buy wool it isn't fleece. I'm thinking it will get more comfortable as I wear it more.

You will not be disappointed. I've worn this all winter for probably 7 or 8 winters every day because I work outside. It never smells because of wool's natural antibacterial/antimicrobial properties due to the fatty acid wool contains. Kind of gross, but I think there was even a winter I didn't even wash it lol. Still no smell. I wear it with a t-shirt underneath that I change out and this is basically a coat. Yet, you can leave it on indoors during Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner and all your other indoor endeavors all day long and you will not overheat. Wool will keep you cool indoors, and extremely warm outdoors due to the natural properties of sheep fur. For instance they wear a thin layer of wool in the Sahara Desert to keep them cool. Trust me, you need one of these for the spring, winter, and fall it basically auto adjusts and keeps your body at the perfect temp indoors and out.

He loves it! I love it! It comes in tall, it fits in a very complimentary way. He looks sharp when he wears it. It is a quality article of clothing. I will be buying this in another color.

About 20 years ago I ordered two of these, the quality was great. Glad to report that today the same remains true. Very warm, not really bulky, fits great, and super functional in cold weather. If wool does not bother you buy one and see for yourself.

Great feeling sweater; replacing one that moths got to.

Excellent sweater. This is my third commando sweater - the other two are still in use, I just wanted an additional color. The wool sweater is very warm and the elbow patches seem to protect an area of wear in other sweaters. I am 6' 3" and 220 lbs and the xlt is a perfect fit for me. A great top layer for a New England fall. I absolutely would recommend to a friend.
