I purchased these slippers as a gift for my husband for his birthday. I was looking for ones that did not have any seams along the edges as he is diabetic and stitching tends to aggravate his feet. These are wonderful! He is so happy with them and puts them on as soon as he gets in the door.

My father bought many things from Bean but these slippers were his absolute favorite. I remember him wearing them from when I was a child. He would write the date that he got them in magic marker on the back heel. As he wore them almost everyday, I would buy him a new pair on occasion. He wore them as many places as he could get away with, including shopping and out to eat. So when he passed away last year after a brief illness at age 86, it was only fitting that he was buried in his favorite slippers. I know he would have really liked that. And we continue the tradition by wearing these in my home also.

Our house doesn't say consistently warm, so I was looking for a slipper to wear and keep my teeth warm. I liked that these are a bit higher, so they'd be more likely to leap my ankles and the gap between pants warm. It was a good choice. The first day or two the toebox felt tight, and it felt weird to walk on the fluffiness of the bottom, but then they matted somewhat to my feet and feel like a perfect fit. It's only October, and I've only worn them a few times, but when I take my feet out, I can feel how much cooler it is, so they are doing their job. I'm excited that many reviews talk about these slippers lasting for years.

Probably the best things I've ever put on my feet. Yet another reason to look forward to getting home at the end of the day.

It's not as if this site needs my review of these shoes when there are so many others with a 5 star experience. At any rate, these shoes are great. Very soft, cosy, and warm. I've not experienced many problems with them aside from they sometimes poke you once the fur lining gets matted down enough, probably the bindings used in the shoe but it's nothing major. I have had these for about 5 or 6 years it would seem. They have my recommendation, however much that is worth to you.

These are great! I bought a pair of these over 8 years ago and they are still in good shape. Some of the bottom stitching has come loose (easily repaired) and I finally wore a hole in one side, so I am definitely buying another pair from LL Bean. I wear these inside and outside (to the mail box, in the yard, etc.) and they keep my feet warm. I bought these in my late 50s and now I am 66 and I use them everyday, especially in winter. This is a good purchase, worth the price.

Read the reviews and saw no mention of the issue I have with mine. Had them for a year love them but the bottoms retain the moisture from feet, get matted and causes foot odor. Outside of that 5 stars. Still gonna get another pair.

When they arrive, the fur on the bottom inside is fluffy. Since the whole slipper is soft, it may feel like your foot wants to slip to one side or the other. This goes away after you wear them for a short while and the fluffy bottom fur conforms to your foot. At that point, it is like having a foot hug all day long. :-) Since different people had different experiences with sizing, I will say they seem very true to size. I mostly wear a 12 1/2 and sometimes a 12, so I ordered up (as recommended) to the 13. I had to return them, and the 12 is PERFECT. Ahhhh..... so nice. I don't know why I'm writing this review when 2000 other people already raved about them. But they really are that nice.

One year out, these slippers are great. They are well made and have held up quite well. Comfortable; warm; the first thing I search for after sliding out of bed, and then when I get home from working in cold New England.

Received a second pair of these beauties for Christmas this year because my wife knew how much I liked the 1st pair! This time,she got me the chocolate colored ones and they really look good! (My 1st pair is still in great shape and I have them packed in my getaway bag for our winter trips.) They are really comfortable,but NOT to be worn outside since they have a soft,material bottom. ~ Highly recommended for keeping the feet warm on those cold,winter nights.

I have selected color brown size US8 I like design also. Very warm looks my foot frostbite is mended.Another good point is the sole made by leather so without noise on flooring.

I am on my second pair of these slippers. I have worn them outside, with snow on the ground in subzero weather without freezing my feet. Granted, I am not out for more than 5 minutes or so. They keep my feet nice an warm while inside. These are the best slippers I have ever owned and I'll be buying another pair when these wear out.

The fit 13 wide was correct. They are warm and highly recommended. As I am retired slippers are an essential part of my wardrobe

I only wear shearling slippers, but more and more it is difficult to find a pair without the hard plastic soles. Then I saw these. Slippers were never meant to go outside and the soft sole are so much easier on the feet. The fit was a little tight when first putting them on, which is good. Within a week of wearing them it was no longer a problem. My feet stay warm even when the thermostat is lowered for the night. The slippers are a pleasure to have on and will be worn often through the winter and early spring. Good job LLBean.

Warm, Comfortable, & Durable. 10/10.

I've had these for about a year now and they are absolutely my favorite. I was afraid it might fall apart quickly based on its appearance but these slippers are solid and well-made. I usually wear them around the house (wooden floors) and they are not made for outside use. I love wearing them without socks and they are so nice and comfy! I think they are true to size; usually wear 9.5 wide and I bought 10W; they are slightly big but I like them that way since they are lounge slippers.

A little too tight but I feel with the leather it will give. Very warm and width is just about perfect, also like the slipper keep's ankles warm too. The padding used is perfect your foot is allowed to move like you are barefoot. Very much like indian moccasins love them!

Purchased a 13 wide and found it to be well made and very warm

sizing is exact. warm wears well inside and outside. have owned for a year. we ordered a size 10 EE becsuase lots of shoes we have bought from other stores, we needed a size 10 to fit correctly. when we re-order these it will be 9 1/2 EE and get a better fit. the wool is warm.

I wear a size 11 EEE shoe. I couldn't decide between these slippers and the slipper socks. I got both thinking I might be returning one of them since I wasn't sure which I would like better. LOVE THEM BOTH. Keeping them. Found both to fit well and are VERY comfortable. Highly recommend both of them.

Wicked Good is what I feel when I wear my slippers. I have worn these for 5-6 years and they still look like they are brand new.

Great pair of slippers. Very warm and well made, and the sheepskin is so soft. A little large so I would order a size or half size down.

I bought the women's slippers many years ago and still wearing them. They are the most comfy slippers ever! My feet love the lining and warmth they immediately give. My hubby is always complaining about his cold feet and won't wear slippers. He says they are uncomfortable for him and just feel like another pair of shoes. I decided to get him these booties this Christmas and see how he reacts. He is madly madly in love! I haven't seen him without them and if he could get away with it, he would probably wear them 24/7.

I purchased my first pair 6 yrs ago. The leather stitching on the left one finally broke lose on the inside back by the heel after wearing them everyday since I got them. I could probably take them to a leather shop and get them fixed.... the rest of the slipper is perfectly fine. But, I broke down and purchased a new pair yesterday. This time I got the dark brown... I am sure I will get another 6 yrs or more out of the new pair too. You can't complain about the price when they last that long!!
