I purchased this for my husband. This slipper is marked as a medium width but it is cut so narrow that my husband could not wear it. I tried it on, just to see, and it was even too narrow for my much smaller foot. Since it appears to be cut (or marked) incorrectly...not a medium width, it is irritating that I have to pay the mailing cost to return it. CB

The slipper fit my foot, but the sole was too small - smaller than my foot - so when I walked, I felt that I would fall. I had to return them. Not sure if it was a fluke. Otherwise they seemed a good product.

Unfortunately, I will have to return this product. It is exactly the slipper my husband likes...it would have been the perfect gift... they look great and are the correct size but as the "cuff" part of the slipper is just too narrow he cannot comfortably fit his foot into the slipper!

Within a week of use, the back stitching on the right slipper tore apart. This is unacceptable for a slipper at this price!

I had a pair that I wore for 4-5 years and loved them, so when they finally wore out I bought what I thought was another pair. Unfortunately they had changed. The sole on my first pair was adurable poly material whereas the new ones the sole was leather. The defective part was that my left foot kept sliding out of place to one side. I had read one other review on this slipper which said the same thing but I bought them anyway. I sent them back to exchange for the moccasin style with a good sole.

I am very disappointed. First thing I noticed was the thin leather and the shearling is less plush than I expected. In less than a year the leather in the back started tearing. The fit is fine. I always wanted a pair of these slippers. Used another brand for 15 years before I had to replace them. Now I am already looking to replace this pair.

I had to return these slippers twice because of fit. in previous years, this same slipper in a size 12 was a perfect fit. This year, the size 12 was way too snug and the size 13 was a sloppy fit. This product had been my husband's favorite slipper for many years because of comfort and quality. But this sizing issue has me looking elsewhere.

I am extremely disappointed in the quality of this product. I sent back back the first pair due to a material defect. Construction on the replacement pair wasn't right either (the right shoe in both cases). Now I need to drive 1 hour to a LL Bean store to see if I can find adequate pair.

The faux lining in this slipper is very low quality. Not soft, not warm and a dirty yellow color. Never thought Bean would put out such a bad product! Now I have to pay $6.50 to return them!

I am going to return these. The left one is perfectly fine, but the right one, although it looks fine, is sewn in a way that twists the slipper and lands the foot a little off the sole.

Since these slippers don't come in half sizes, I ordered a half size up. Despite that, the soles and footbed were very, very narrow. In addition, the sides were flimsy, so every step I took I felt as if I was falling off a narrow board. They were very uncomfortable, although the lining was soft and warm. There was no way I could wear them walking around.

My husband's first disappointment was that they were made in China. Secondly, the inside soles were not attached on the in-step side of both slippers and his feet were rubbing on the stitching from the outside of the slipper. Very uncomfortable and will be returned.

My husband received these slippers as a gift for Christmas. They are very comfortable but they smell like a dead animal. He can't wear them because they smell so bad. He received them as a gift so I'm not sure we can return them. Too bad, they are very comfortable.

i've had several pairs of these over the years, and they're usually fantastic. this pair was extremely smelly. they give off an incredibly foul odor. customer service was nice enough to replace them for me...hope they've fixed the odor problem!

These slippers, though warm and attractive, offer no side support for the foot and the foot slides off the outside edge of the sole making walking a challenging and unpleasant affair. Never have had this problem with slippers before. Try again and make wicked sure you improve the design.

Very disappointed in this version of the same product we had years ago..they were for our sons, neither could wear them, both felt like they were made for the same foot, not nearly as well made as previous model yrs. ago...would not recommend, intend to return..but now don't know what to get as the quality seems to have changed in slippers.

Just got these for Christmas. Put the left one on and the seam ripped out near the front ankle. Put the right one on and the leather down the back ripped out. They are half size bigger than my feet so this is not a case of them being to small. Simply a case of the material being to weak to hold up to the minimal strain a shoe goes through when you pull it onto your foot. All this being said....they are extremely comfortable and warm. I took them off just now to examine the rips again. A big chunk of the fir material from inside the shoe came out with my foot. I am sad. I love the way they look and feel on my feet, but dont expect them to last much more than a week or two at this rate. I will be sending them back on sunday. Maybe i can find something that has been constructed out of quality material.

I have the women's slippers like these and have had them for about 2 years -- GREAT product. I got my husband some in late June 2010 and today I just had to throw them in the trash. Within about 3 months the sheerling lining in the bottom had completely worn off. To remedy this I bought new insoles to give to my husband for Christmas, but it became a moot point when yesterday one slipper caught on something and a hole was ripped in it quite easily. I am sorry that the quality of these has gone downhill within the last 2 years. For the price I can no longer recommend these slippers and I won't be buying anymore of them. :-(

Ordered these as a Christmas gift for my elderly father - they didn't fit at all, seemed to be defective and his foot slipped all around in them. Will have to return them - was very disappointed, I expected a quality product from L.L. Bean...

These slippers were not the usual good LLBean quality. Very flimsy and poor construction. My husband was very disappointed as he has been wanting slippers that would cover his ankles. Needless to say, they were returned.

I was looking forward to receiving this pair of slippers since my wife has exactly the same type for herself, also ftom LLBean. I received these and wore them around the house to test the fit and just enjoy warming my feet.
I was sittlng at my desk when I noticed an unpleasant odor that I could not locate right away; I noticed it from time to time, something like spoiled food or something sour, but still did not know where it was coming from.
When I retired for the evening, I found the odor was coming from the lining of the slippers; something that reminded me of a skunk smell; and no, it wasn't dirty socks or smelly feet, the odor was from the lining itself that increased when the feet warmed up the lining. Whether this was a byproduct of processing the wool lining or some other chemical contaminant, I don't know. It was a very unpleasent smell and enough to discourage me from keeping them or even re-ordering another pair. I returned them within 3 business days of receipt and asked for a refund.

I bought and tried the 7 regular, 7 wide, an 8 regular, and none of them fit right. So disappointing.
