LLbean wicked shear slipper is NOT as good as the previous pair I bought in Nov 2017. I bought two pairs in Nov 2018. The first pair I am wearing and rotating with the pair I bought in 2017. The new one had already wore down more the the old pair after three months, the shearling is not as thick and the padding is thinner also. The price for these are much higher than Cabela but the quality is less now. I plan to return the new pairs. Not the quality expected. Here is a picture

No sole or arch support. I thought that they were going to be more comfortable. Disappointed. They are warm though.

I've been very satisfied with two pair of Wicked Good Slippers I bought in the past, one in the 80s and one in the 2000s. Now I'm not just disappointed, I'm shocked that not only when I received a new pair that had a serious defect the replacement pair had the exact same defect. All of the aspects you'd normally think of were fine but in both pair the left foot bed was tilted. While standing the position was very odd and awkward. I loved everything else about them just as I'd loved the earlier decades pairs.
Because the earlier decades pairs were so good, and much better than any other slippers I've owned, I've requested L.L. Bean send me one more pair before I give up. But it is still disconcerting that 2 pair in a row came with the exact same defect. If two people out of thousands who bought these slippers received a pair with the same defect and then received normal replacements, I'd consider that normal. It is just possible that only two pair out of thousands had the same defect and by some freakish fluke they both came to me. If the third pair comes this way Bean has a problem with the contracted manufacturer. I've had only good experiences with Bean products for over 35 years and I truly hope this situation was just a fluke.

These are very comfortable slippers, however I noticed after about six hours of wear that the inside of the slipper (presumably the shearling) was leaving my feet and toes discolored and slightly irritated. The coloring from the shearling seems to be rubbing off on my feet. I have not yet been able to get the irritation and discoloration to go away.
I have had many LL Bean products that I love, so I am hoping this is an isolated incident.

I bought these slippers for Christmas for my husband. When he tried them on his ankle kept pronating inward. I then had my son try them on (same size) and the same thing happened to him. This slipper needs some type of support (a sole, perhaps) to keep them aligned with the foot. The sole is very narrow and doesn't support the foot. It's also disappointing that I have to pay $9.50 for the return!! Gosh, it just doesn't seem fair :)

These shoes were supposed to be extra wide, the uppers were, but the soles seemed kind of narrow. I'm getting used to way these shoes feel. The only reason these shoes didn't get returned is because they are just house shoes and because of the hassle of paying for shipping. These shoes would not be acceptable if they were intended for taking long walks. It feels almost like I could roll my ankle wearing these.

This is the worst slipper I have ever owned. The problem is that there is an inadequate heel and sole. When walking the foot slides off the base and I end up walking on the side of the slipper rather than the base of the slipper. Sorry, about this. LLBEAN products are usually good.

Bought 12/2014, $79, to replace a pair that had lasted many years. Worn a few seasons in cool weather. Upper-to-sole stitching disintegrated. Returning for a refund.

Poorly constructed. The shearling liner piles up under the middle of your feet and make it uncomfortable to walk. Your feet end up cocking too the side. Very dissatisfied! Will not buy again.

I see that this slipper has great reviews (and a ton of them, no less). But I hated them. They are warm and well constructed but the sole is spongy. If the sole was harder or softer, it probably would have been fine but it was just rubbery enough to continually force my foot to the outside of the slipper. Almost like the shoe wanted to squirt out from under your foot. I felt like I couldn't keep the slipper under my foot and I was always walking on the outside of my foot with the inside of my foot being pushed up. I had to return them.

My new Slippers are 1/4 of an inch shorter than the last pair I bought some years ago. I have always worn a size 10, but the sole on these actually measure shorter than the last pair. They had also been worn before, based the marks on the bottom of one of the slippers. I will wait until I am in Albany, NY next month, and return them where I can try them on and check the condition of what I am buying. Never thought I would have to say that about any ofyour products.
I have seen this problem before with other brands, when no one is doing quality checks except the consumer, this is going to happen.
I your supplier can reduce the size of a thing by even a small amount and still charge you for the full size they will increase their profit margins, at your expense.

Have bought the Wicked Good Slipper for my husband and adult son for years. This year the slipper had been "cheapened" so much that I returned them. I actually weighed one slipper on my Postal scale and it weighed 1/3rd LESS than his old ones, so it is not my imagination. Additionally, when the slipper is on your foot, your foot does not stay on the footbed...it slips sideways, from side-to-side, onto the floor, becoming a serious slip/fall possibility and is dangerous. I called my son to ask if he felt there was a dramatic difference in the pair I sent him for Christmas. He told me this was also his experience with the new design. He didn't want me to feel bad, so he just kept them...but had almost fallen several times because of the unstable footbed.
Unless LL Bean fixes this issue, I will no longer be buying them. I was very disappointed, as LL Bean has always manufactured such quality items.

I have been an LL Bean customer for decades and have always been very pleased with their products. Except the footwear sold under the LL Bean label.
I wear a size 11 1/2 EE New Balance walking shoe. (They fit perfectly.) Over the last few months I ordered several pairs of the "Wicked Good" slippers in different styles. including the "bootie" and two different moccasin styles. I ordered these in a size 12 Wide. None of them fit. In every case they were way too narrow in the toe area.
Beans says that the "Wide" is equivalent to an EE. Not even close. They all went back.
I have a feeling that the problem is related to the country of manufacture,(Asia), and that quality checks for proper sizing seem to be non existent. And that's too bad because otherwise it's a very nice shoe.
I would strongly suggest that if you wear a wide shoe, and a size EE is not all that wide, give these shoes a pass.
I hope this saves you a few trips to the UPS store.

Between the plastic sole and the interior fuzzy lining is a narrow strip of something (cardboard?). It's thick enough that it makes you feel as though you're walking on a rail and my feet keep supinating. This piece is probably 3/4" too narrow for the slippers.
Very uncomfortable and now I have to pay for return shipping.

Got a pair for my birthday at my request. Wanted slippers that were very comfortable, kept my feet warm and I could wear all day
No doubt these met the first two criteria. Very comfortable and very warm.
However, the fit was awful. The whole slipper twisted toward the rear of my foot due to poor construction. They would not last as there was too much pressure on the seam and not an acceptable flaw for the money. Returned them after one week. Correct this issue and they are perfect. I am a big fan of LL Bean and sorry these were not up to their usual high quality.

Bought this slipper at the Bean store in Freeport.
Mislabeled wicked good; I would label wicked cheap.
Not up to my expectations. The left slipper had a sole that was sewed off to the left of center making walking uncomfortable.
Not to be used outside of the home and certainly not in any wet conditions.
Better off with UGGs.

The sole on these slippers (especially the right foot) is lopsided -- higher on the inside of the foot, non-existent on the outside of the foot. So my foot constantly rolls off the sole toward the outside and I end up walking around on the side of the slipper. I don't know if this is a product defect that affects every pair of slippers on this style, but I'd be wary. I should have returned these right away, but they were a Christmas present...probably too late now, I guess (March).

The leather soles on these shoes are too narrow for the upper, causing me to walk on the outside edges of the shoes - like someone with weak ankles on ice skates. I would not purchase these shoe again, nor recommend them to anyone else!

Not good, if you're planning to use these slippers daily they're not for you. I've had my pair for about 2months and the bottom stiching is already comin
Although they do keep your feet fairly warm they are not that comfortable and not durable.

Do not order this! It did not fit right the first time. I had to send it back and get a size bigger. Then, it still fit horribly. Also, the inside fleece kept coming off and sticking onto my socks. Just the worst slippers ever.

If you are looking for a slipper that you can ease your foot in when getting out of bed without having to bend over do NOT buy these "slippers". The back at the heel collapses when you try to slide in so you have to bend over and pull it up. NOT a slipper.
The size is ok, My wife bought me a 12M and I wear a 13 in sneakers and a 12.5 in dress shoes so that's ok.
I just wouldn't recommend them to anyone, there are better options.

First pair I bought a few years ago: the fleece came off the heel areas after about one winter.
Second pair I bought a week or so ago: the right shoe has the bottom fleece pad off center so that my foot slides to the outside of the shoe when I walk.

These mocs fit nice and snug only after first purchasing. They quickly stretch out and make walking around the house awkward and unsafe because the foot slides around within. For the price the slippers should have kept their shape a lot longer.

They look nice but the bottoms are way too slippery and they don't have a stable feel. Feel very wobbly. Totally unimpressed.
