There is something wrong with the way these slippers were made. It feels like the right toe box was put on the left slipper, and vice versa. In fact, I thought at first I had put the slippers on the wrong feet and switched them--but that made things worse. I thought I would wear the slippers for a day to try to break them in...but I only made it an hour before the pain in my big toes and radiating up to me knees was so severe that I had to take them off. These slippers are not wearable.

I've been a loyal LL Bean customer for over 30 years, and this is my first negative review. Something is wrong with these slippers. Wearing them is torture. It's like the right toe box is on the left slipper and vice versa. In fact, I initially thought I had inadvertently put the slippers on the wrong foot. But they were even worse when I changed them to the other foot. The pain went from my big toe and radiated clear up to my knee. I decided to try to wear them for a day to see if I could "break them in" (which I don't think should ever be necessary with slippers). I lasted about an hour before I had to take them off due to the pain in my knees. I'm not sure what went wrong here, but now I have to either deal with the hassle of a return or just throw them in the trash. The much cheaper slippers I bought at a big box store are much more comfortable. Really disappointed in this purchase.

These are comfortable, fit good and look good, but are high priced and wear out to quickly. I bought a pair of the My Pillow slippers, but they are poorly designed because the slipper does not fit over the heel and make it hard to walk in so I bought the LL Beans.Good but expensivr

Bought the right size but foot entry opening was almost too small for foot to enter. Had to return them because I resented the struggle to put them and take them off.

It is apparently not cut properly. I have always bought the same size slipper every year but this year the opening of the slipper is an inch smaller on one of the slippers so you can't get your foot in it. Now LLBean wants to charge me $6.50 to return the defective item. Bad business, won't be buying there any longer.

Had a pair of these for 15+ years they are still holding up. Got a pair last Christmas as a gift and they are literally falling apart. I only wear these indoors around the house and really just in the cold months. So just over a year old. Customer service says I need a receipt for them to consider a replacement. The quality is just not there anymore.

So disappointed in this slipper! There is no support at all and your foot just rolls. I really wanted these to work, but they didn't!

I ordered my husband's shoe size but he could not even get them on - too small an opening at the top.

Purchased 1/2 size larger than my foot size and length was too small. Ok to have a slipper slightly larger so must buy 1 full size larger. The location of the tag in the instep was the deal breaker. Uncomfortable, very thick material so difficult to remove and large lump at one end ( either glue or stitching but could not be removed or cut. A slipper should always be large enough and completely comfortable but neither happened with this Christmas gift and had to be returned. Very disappointed.

In the catalog these look like the thick shearling slippers I ordered several years ago. The top could be rolled down and they were generous in width to fit a man's foot. The look like women's slippers. Very dainty compared to what you used to get. Probably went with a cheaper vendor. I bought a pair for each of my adult sons. Expecting LL Bean quality I didn't even look at them until they were unwrapped on Christmas morning. I was embarrassed.

There are tags stitched to the insole of the slipper that are very irritating and uncomfortable. The tags are sewn up in the forefoot and cannot be easily/safely cut out.

Not sure if it's normal or if it's just my pair but the smell is very disturbing. Everyone seems to gush over these, so I'm hoping it's just the smell of the dark brown tanins, but I've had other sheepskin products before and they didn't smell like rotting dead rat. I've sprayed so much Febreeze into them that they're slippery inside and it still comes through.

My husband has an old pair that he loves (size 8 wide). He doesn't have particularly wide feet, but he likes the fit of the old wide ones anyway. I bought him the size 8 medium-width (since wide is no longer an option), and he can't even get them on! The opening is way too small, such that he can't even get his foot inside the slipper. The length is also at least 1" shorter than his old pair. We are returning these, and won't even try ordering another pair in a larger size, since we have lost confidence in these slippers now (after our experience, and also after reading reviews from others).

Someone at LL Bean decided to save money and not produce half sizes. I am a perfect 111/2. They say to order up. The result is sloppy loose footwear that also tips my foot sideways with bulging cushion in the middle of the foot. Recent research indicates that this is bad for one's feet, ankles and knees. I love their other stuff, but their footwear has major problems if you wear a half size. I am totally disappointed, and can't wear them without hurting myself.

Too small- ordered 11 and it did not fit- I've heard both ways- too small or too large. Perhaps you should give dimensions so people can size themselves correctly

These used to be good slippers, very good in fact, and lasted me 5-6 years. The pair I got in May 2020 are coming apart at the seam after a little over 1 year of the same kind of usage of the previous 2 pairs. I returned them but bean no longer stands behind their product if they were purchased over a year ago. Beware these slippers are not what they used to be and bean service is not either.

Bought my second pair of Wicked Good Slippers about one year ago. I loved my first pair so I was surprised to find that the bottom of my second pair was not at the bottom of the slipper. I was walking half on the bottom of the slipper and half on the right side of the slipper. I did not return it because I was hoping it would break in correctly but one year later there has been no change. This is the last pair of Wicked Good Slippers I will purchase.
