These well-made slippers are soft and comfy inside, and the fit was fine for my foot. The problem: The bottom sole tapers down to an extremely narrow heel (in retrospect, this can be seen clearly on the website picture of the bottom of the shoe) and although the slippers were very comfortable when I was off my feet, when standing or walking I felt my heel rocking left and right, and it was very disconcerting. I could not walk or stand comfortably. Why the heel is so narrow, I have no idea. I only know that because of this they were the most uncomfortable slippers I have ever owned, and after a few days of trying to get used to them I gave up and sent them back.

These slippers are most definatly WARM. That's about the ONLY good quality. They do in fact run a size too big & too wide. And then they stretch, making them even larger. After wearing them one season, the stitchiing started to break apart & the sole started to seperate. I sent an email off to customer service & L.L. Bean stood behind their promise - quality! I got help to get a new, and different, pair of slippers ordered! Customer service is high, but these slippers - low.

When you first put these on after receiving them, they are FABULOUS! They are very warm and the shearling insulation is sooooo soft and comfy. After a few wears, the shearlling gets compacted and is not nearly as soft and comfy. I have had a pair for over a year now and one of the slippers is losing the shearling -- I have no idea where it went -- you can see through to the bottom of the slipper. This is a very expensive slipper so for this kind of money, I would expect these to hold up for years and years. I have had these in the past and the same thing happens. Once the shearling starts to go these are not nearly as comfortable or warm. My feet actually get cold in them now -- I have to wear socks with them to help keep the feet warm. I would recommend these if you plan to buy a new pair every year. Like I said, they are fabulous right out of the box -- they just don't hold up well. If they held up better they would be well worth the price.

I purchased these slippers for my husband thinking they'd be wonderful; after all, I've seen them in the catalogue and heard good things about them for years. I couldn't have been more disappointed. The first pair arrived & after a week or two of use I returned them because they -- despite being the correct size -- had my husband walking on the sides of the slipper instead of the bottom! Clearly they were just not put together correctly. LLBean quickly and cooperatively replaced them -- their one saving grace. However, the second set of slippers only lasted about 6 months. They're completely worn out for any comfortable use, the "wicked good" softness inside is largely worn away, they don't "ride" right (as in, these also had him walking on the seems/side to some degree). We replaced them with a different style of Bean slippers (which is also beginning to disintegrate in the heel after 8 months). I would not recommend these slippers to anyone who plans to wear them a lot. If you wear them occasionally I'm sure they're fine, but we use slippers a LOT. I won't be buying Bean slippers again based on our experience. My husband says, "They're cute. They're good looking. But they are not functional."

I have always been very happy with LL Bean clothing, so I hate to have to do this, but I am more than a little disappointed with these slippers. Granted, I have had them for 4 or 5 years, but considering I only wear them in the Winter, and the fact that after about the third year the lining was pretty much shot, well, I guess I just expected them to keep my feet toasty warm longer than they did. I wear socks with them now, but it's not the same. And now I see the price has gone up $10 to $59.99

These slippers have a tag installed at the arch of the innersole. They cannot be comfortably worn without socks. I cannot imagine that someone thought the tag was a good idea.

Purchased slippers for my son Christmas of 2010. After year of wearing, the stitching on the right heel sole was tearing out. Will return under L.L.Bean's 100% Satisfaction Guarantee.

These slippers are the first item I've ever gotten from LLBean that I haven't been thrilled with. The problem is the fit. The sole is designed so that it is not directly under the foot. It is offset about 3/8ths of an inch to the outside of the foot, so when you walk your heel slips over to the inside of what should be the side of the slipper. It makes you more likely to trip. They are well made, warm, and otherwise comfortable, hence my disappointment. Returning them is too much trouble so I'll just purchase another pair somewhere else. I have to add that this is the very first time an LLBean product has been less than perfect so I will continue as a loyal customer.

Would have loved the slippers but they just did not fit. I ordered a size larger but still were too tight. Plus, they felt like they were lop sided so I had to return them. Not worth the price.

Order these a size larger than you would normally wear. The seem down the middle of the top is a weakness. They split on top the first time my husband put them on.

Slipper a very loose fit. Consequently hard to walk in and will not keep feet warm. Nap already shredding as soon as came out of box. Poor quality

Bean's Wicked Good Slippers Expected a more comfortable wool lining, lumpy inner sole and you can feel the edges rather bulky. The BlackWatch pajamas are great, warm and confortable as expected. AO

MY SECOND PAIR OF WICKED GOOD SLIPPERS. THE FIRST PAIR LASTED A LONG TIME. I BOUGHT A SECOND PAIR, THE SAME SIZE, BUT THIS PAIR IS REALLY MUCH TO NARROW FOR A MEDIUM.

Slippers are very narrow and somewhat short. Did not like the lining. Thought the lining would be similar to lamb fleece. I was very unhappy to learn that I would have to pay the return postage. Will not order from LLB in the future!

Had these slippers for about 15 years and went to get a new pair. The new pair fell apart where the shoe itself totally disintigrated. Then had to go through three pairs to get one size which were wide and long enough. As a Woman's size 9, I had to settle for a Men's size 7 wide. Rediculous. Shocked at how shoddy these mocs have become. they have become an essential part of my everyday.

My husband has had a stroke & his feet are always cold. After reading reviews of this slipper, I ordered a pair one size larger than his shoe size. We were excited when they arrived & looked so cozy. Unfortunately, we could NOT get them on his feet...with or without socks. My husband has a high instep, and these slippers would not go on his feet, no matter how hard we tried. VERY disappointing. I returned them.

My husband loved the inside of these slippers but said the sides were way too flimsy in comparison to the sturdy sole, making his foot spill over the sole as he walked. We returned them.

I ordered size 12 based on the directions in the catalog stating, "Half sizes order up." I wear an 11 shoe. Instructions that came with the slippers indicated that the fit should be snug at first. The slipper was very loose and clearly too large. Perhaps this was because my foot is narrow. I am exchanging them for a size 11 and have my fingers crossed.

I have worn LL Bean's "Wicked Good" slippers for nearly 20 years. I have had my present pair for nearly two years and have been disappointed in their durability. My most immediate previous pair also were a cause for disappointment as they did not wear well. These last two experiences are atypical as my previous pairs wore like "iron". While I have a wide (D" width) foot, both poor performers split out where the outer side wall is attached to the sole. The leather seems quite thin along the sides. Otherwise they seem to wear well and, of course, are extremely comfortable.

Great styling, poor quality. I have had these slippers for a number of years and have loved them. It was time to get a new pair so we ordered the same ones because I loved them so much. I got them and two days later the seams on the back of the slipper ripped and split apart. I am sending them back for another pair. Very good styling but poor quality. I am wondering if LL Bean changed manufactures.

I found these slippers hard to walk in. My heels were slipping sideways off the sole. A necessary improvement would be to reinforce the heel counter-a common feature found in most footwear. Next, I would have the toe box rounded/widened for more comfort. This is the second pair I've ordered. I've worn the first pair to death, but felt they could be improved. This second pair seemed to have thinner leather, which amplified the instability problem, so I sent them back.

I sent the slippers back. There was no support on the sides. The lambskin sides would not support the foot. When turning a corner my foot would fall of the side of the sole requiring toe schrunching and ankle twisting/wiggling to adjust positioning of the foot so it would stay on the sole.
