I wanted to love them. I really did. The quality is not up to LL Bean expected standard. 1. The seam came apart at the back of the slipper. It started right at the pull tab after a couple of days and went down one side of the back strip. When I looked at the leather portion of the slipper the heel section and tab just barely caught the side piece and the thread pulled through the side piece - not enough overlap before sewing. 2. The slipper has a weird bottom. It is smaller than the body of the slipper causing your foot to slide of to the side. The bottom is not stable at all. 3. Overall the stitching is rough and not well done and I worry it's just a matter of time before they are reduced to leather scraps. I have been riveting them back together as they fall apart but in general they weren't "Wicked Good" they were disappointing for something from LL Bean.

The right slipper was perfect. The left was not. After wearing the slippers for two weeks the lining of the left slipper had not packed down. I had to turn the left slipper inside out to be able to trim the too thick material so that what remained matched the right slipper in thickness.

These are inferior to three previous pairs I've purchased. They're made in Myanmar which could be a problem; thinner inner wool and outside leather. The fit is loose. I have a three year old pair that is still in better shape than the new ones. Same high price with lower quality. Ridiculous.

The manufacturers plastic tag is on the inside of this - it is just where your arch falls. A ridiculous and uncomfortable spot to place this. I am surprised I do not see other reviews mentioning this. My old pair did not have this problem. Returning these.

I purchased these for my husband for Christmas. Now, a month later, the seams on both slippers are busted. He loves these slippers, but I expected higher quality construction for the price. We will be returning them.

These slippers are perfect, they feel good, and the fit is good......BUT....they wear out quickly, and they tend to stretch out so what was initially a good fit became too large.

The house shoes I received were damaged. The stitching was torn on the heel of one of the shoes. I have returned them, but haven't heard back or received my replacements.

I was really looking forward dot receiving -- but totally disappointed. I usually wear a 10.5/11 and should have bought a 10 -- they are very loose and, according to the insert in the box, they should fit snugly because the sheepskin stretches. It would have helped to include this info in the product description. Feels like I'm wearing shearling lined bags on my feet.

Material quality good but design was poor! footbed was sloppy and unstable! Also no ankle support! I could hardly walk with these slippers! will probably try another llbean product later.

Have had a pair of LL Bean slippers for at least 30 years. They use to simply be the best. My previous pair lasted about 8 years. Decided to replace them earlier this year. The new pair lasted about 6 months before the stitching failed and they started to fall apart. LL Bean has great customer service, and made it easy to send back the damaged pair and sent me a new pair. I have no faith that the new pair will last either. The shearling lining is popping out thru the stitching, the toe looks like a child sewed it together and is loose all around. Plus, it is just a flimsier leather and product then it once was. Perhaps I'm getting old, but they simply don't make them like they use to.

I have been buying these slippers for over 20 years. This current pair and the one before it had the stitching come apart in less than one year. I wore them inside the house only. I have seen several reviews in the past having the same issue. This is quite disappointing as they have always been a comfortable and warm slipper. You have lost a loyal customer.

I don't wear socks with my slippers. And when I put my foot in the slipper the first thing I notice is this razor blade of a tag sticking into my arch. They have sewn one of those "Made in Malaysia, Model, Style..." tags right into the inside seam of each slipper. It's some sort of semi-rigid polyester material. If I'm careful, I may be able to cut it out with a seam ripper or pair of scissors, but that opens up all sorts of other potential problems. In addition, when ordering, I was only given the option of a Medium D width, which I would think would be okay, but no, it's too narrow, so my foot is rolling off the semi-stiff sole on both the left and the right of each foot. Feels like I'm trying to walk on a thin balance beam (and falling off). Not what I would think of as "wicked good", or even just "good".

I am size 9 and could not even get my toes in . I returned them for size 10 and had the same problem. I returned them also. I wish you would bring back l.l.bean sock slippers. They are nice and warm and have lasted for 3years. The acorn slippers you offer are no ware the same quality.

I love these sleepers, I have them for over 20 years. Every two years or so I throw out the old pair and get a new one. This year I was looking for my size, 9 wide and was disappointed that the slipper is available only in "medium", I bought them anyway and was disappointed. I noticed that many other of your devoted customers had the same complaint and getting a size 10 did not solve the problem. PLEASE bring back the width "wide".

I received these slippers as a gift a couple years ago. I should've returned them right away, but unfortunately, I didn't. Out of the box the right moc heal was off center. The cloth stitching wore through pretty fast. I resewed them (twice), but that didn't last very long. This is my second pair. I had the previous pair for many years (more than 10) without any problem. I really like the cozy feel of these slippers, but I don't think I would buy them again.

I have owned a pair of LL Bean slippers for 10 years, loved them. I wanted a new pair so I ordered the new high ones. The slipper is tight even thought I ordered a half size larger. I thought they would loosen up. The sole feels very narrow like you are going to twist an ankle. It is because it is rounded and not flat. I have tried wearing them for short periods of time still not comfortable as slippers should be right from the box.

I took a chance and found out they were too narrow, I'm returning them. I'm looking for a UPS truck to send them back.

My last pair of these slippers I got had larger "width" size. I bought them some years back, but still, why would you guys do away with that? I just ordered a new pair in the hopes that maybe a medium width would suffice, but no good. I just returned them with a sad heart, I really like these slippers and it's just really annoying knowing that I will not be able to get a new pair now. Bring back the "widths" sizes you guys!

This is the first time I have purchased an L.L. Bean product and haven't been really happy with the item. I'm getting older and I'm fighting to keeping my feet warm. I was very disappointed with the amount of fur that was left on the hide. My old slippers from ten years ago are still better than these. The manufacturer cut the fur down to less than a 1/4 of an inch and they aren't very warm. The fabrication quality looks good, but they cut away way to much insulation. The density of the wool is also very poor.

Take a close look at the stitching. I wore a heal out, my wife called customer service and they told us to send them back. After paying the shipping to do so they called to say I was walking on the stitches and they won't honor the warranty. They sent this $89 pair back to me. It's a shame people abused their policy. I've been a customer for over 30 years, and will not purchase from LL Bean again. These slippers are only a tad over a year old.

My husband loved these slippers at first -- they were very warm and nice looking -- but he quickly noticed there was no support and very little cushioning on the soles. The thin insoles starting shifting sideways and after a couple weeks he was walking on the sides of the slippers. We will be returning them to the store as they did not meet our expectations.

I have been wearing these slippers for over 29 years now and this is the first time I have been disappointed. The foot pad on the right slipper is not centered correctly. I feel like I am walking on the side of my slipper and it is very uncomfortable. Too bad because this has always been my favorite pair of slippers.
