Not the same as they used to be made sadly. I wish LL bean would stay true to their American made products . These are thin now unlike 10 years ago

The slippers were way too snug...I think they make them differently now....that was disappointing... I bought a men's size 8...normally that's loose on me...

This slipper is really to tight if you order your correct size. My current LL Bean moccasin slippers are actually better for me. I would have ordered them again BUT the photos in the catalog did not appear to have the leather sole that I currently have so I ordered the pair that did have the leather sole. The rubber or plastic sole slipper can be purchased at Wal Mart. These new slippers are what I call TWO slippers. To tight, To short and requires 2 hand to put them on. Regifting to a female I hope.

Two stars for being comfortable and warm, but they wore out after two seasons. I specifically bought these because Bean has a reputaion for quality and durability and I was tired of going through a cheap pair of slippers every couple of years. For five times the cost of what I usually bought, I expected at least twice the durability, but that was not the case. As another reviewer pointed out, the stitching that holds the sole to the upper rubs on the floor when you walk and once it fails the whole thing begins to separate. To be clear, these never left the house and were used exclusively on carpet and hardwood. I sent them back for warranty evaluation thinking a company like Bean would stand behind their product but this was deemed normal wear and tear and I was offered no recourse but to have this now useless footwear returned to me. Disappointing. I will not be purchasing or recommending any of their products in the future.

Width and stitching seem to be a real problem. My current pair has a white tab on the inside of each slipper which can not be removed without damaging the slipper and is very uncomfortable under foot. Rather than encouraging so many people to return their slippers if not satisfied, why not address the quality control problems which you say you take seriously, but the growing number of negative reviews tell another story.

The foot bed was too narrow and meant your foot was resting on the very hard leather sewn seams. Had to send back.

I gave this a 2 rating because one slipper is much smaller than the other. What a disappointment on Christmas morning!

I had an 11 with mens and replaced them with a men's 12 I can't get my foot into the slippers way to small this are like a men's 9 not a 12 .. I would recommend going to a store and trying them on to make sure the size is what fits your feet don't even bother with the size # s on the boxes there just kinda close .

I found that the inner sole did not completely cover the sole of the slipper. The result was that I felt like I was walking on a narrow railmy feet felt like they were sliding off from side to side. Unfortunately, I didn't fully read all the reviews before purchasing this item, but afterwards saw that this issue was mentioned by others. I returned these slippers but did purchase a different style from L.L. Bean which I found to be satisfactory.

This is the second pair of these slippers I have bought for my husband. The first pair last 10 years and I expected the same, but after 18 months the lacing that holds one of the slippers started to disintegrate. When I contacted LL Bean they said it was past the return date and I had limited recourse. I am disappointed.

Dad had these for years, bought new ones same size and just doesn't stretch to foot at all. Really uncomfortable. Can these be stretched by a cobbler?

Came back for a 3rd pair. VERY disappointed that W is discontinued. Would only recommend to those who don't have wide feet. Why no more Wide?

4th and last pair. Quality has deteriorated so much over the past decade. Not worth the cash anymore.

I've owned many pairs of LLBean Wicked Good Slippers and changes in quality from past years is quite noticeable. The slippers have become skinny while the lambs wool has become less plush. In the past, these slippers were manufactured with thick rich lambs wool, and now, not so much. On top of the change in material, the slippers are much thinner and tight. I returned these because of the size changes.

On right foot most of the sheepskin padding was bunched up on one side of the slipper. The other side had nothing. This was a present from my daughter. I still had an old pair that was good so I didn't try the new ones on. When I finally did the guarantee period had ended so I was stuck with them. This is the second pair of the same type slipper that lacks quality control. Another pair had not been sewed up on the back (heel) seam. What has happened to LLBean quality control?

These slippers are comfortable -- when you're sitting down. The soles are much too narrow and unstable. You could turn your ankle in them, in fact I did. Also, they are not particularly durable.

Opening on left slipper is sewn smaller than right, a problem others have mentioned. They need better quality control. They're comfortable once I'm able to squeeze past the opening, but I shouldn't need a shoe-horn and lots of swearing to put on a pair of slippers. Gonna try stretching out the opening even more, but I wouldn't buy again as quality seems to be less important than the quantity they want to produce.

Same experience as other reviews I've seen - the opening to slip your foot in is way too small. I've owned a previous pair for years and was looking forward to the new pair. I don't think any amount of breaking in will change this. Can't recommend this style

I got these in the green color to replace a very old pair of the same in tan. They seemed good quality, thick and fluffy. But there must have been some design or manufacturing error, because the foot opening was far too small. I could barely get my hand in, much less my foot, and certainly not past the instep. I returned them, and will be trying another color instead.

This would be a five star review except for one pretty large problem. I love soft sole moccasin slippers, and these are warm, extremely comfortable, and highly durable. Pretty good looking, too. The problem is that the padded part of the outsole is far narrower than the sole overall. The padding would be a great feature if it covered the whole bottom of the slipper, but as it is, your foot rolls off to one side or the other with each step. They're almost unwearable with socks on, because the rolling action causes my socks to twist and bunch. I imagine there is added stress on the side stitching as well.

The lacing that attaches the tops to the soles needs to be stronger, like rawhide.

Slipper is very narrow. I tried larger sizes but still too narrow for what I think are most mens feet.

TOO TIGHT, PINCHED-TOES, TOO SHORT. THESE WERE ON SALE AND PERHAPS I SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT A FULL-PRICE VERSION. I RETURNED THEM, AND WILL PROBABLY GO BACK TO ACORN.
