Solid construction, comfortable and waterproof. It's everything I need in a hiking boot. Testing them out on dewy morning walks with the dog, can't wait to get full use in an upcoming trip.

I have had several pairs of lone peak boots. I hike multiple times a week and often very technical hiking with scrambling. I'm at the point where I can only wear Altras. I have run trail marathons and done multiple day hikes in them. I have very narrow sharp heels. These are the only boots Ive ever worn that don't give me blisters. I have had several ankle fractures and have bony ankles. I find the boots very comfortable and supportive . The tread on rock scrambling surfaces is phenomenal. You don't have to wear the boots in. They are light and you can feel the ground well helping you to have a very agile and tactical hiking experience when going over rocks and difficult terrain. The only bad thing for me is the tread wears out too quickly but if the tread were changed then I think you'd loose the tactile response from the grips of the tread. I probably go through a pair every 18 months but it's worth it. I'm over clumsy, stiff, painful, heavy hiking boots. I've worn the line peak boots for over 5 years.

I FINALLY found the perfect boot! I've always had issues with hiking boots being too stiff / having too narrow of a toe box, and these boots solve both of those problems. I used to get blisters all the time and I haven't gotten a single blister in these, even on multi-week backpacking trips. Thru-hikers are all about the lone peak trail runners, but I find that those don't offer enough ankle support, which this boot also solves for - think of these as the sturdier cousin to the ultralight trail runners with added ankle support. They're water resistant to a point but also dry quickly so it's not really an issue. I've taken these on countless hikes, backpacking trips, and now I'm hiking the PCT in them and I couldn't be happier!! Please never discontinue these :)

Absolutely love the All Weather Lone Peak Mid for snowy runs/dog walks/hikes. I do wear wool socks as there is limited insulation but that also makes the shoe more pliable. The flexibility is great for ankle and tarsal mobility. The limited insulation also makes this shoe great for spring, summer, and fall.

I'm 50 and have had a lot of different foot surgeries in my life and I wear orthotics. These were comfortable right out of the box but after wearing them for a season they are molded perfectly to my feet. Nothing rubs uncomfortably, after hours of hiking my feet still don't ache. These are the perfect boots.

Wore these for a 5 mile hike and my wide feet were immensely happy! I hardly felt fatigue at the end of the day. Super lightweight, waterproof, & the claw bottom made for an easy trek. 10/10!

I love these. They feel more solid and structured than the low top Lone Peak. I am on my feet all day at work in a cold environment and they feel good all day long. Pretty blue color, too!!!

These are my go to shows for morning trail runs and longer hikes. No break-in required! Perfect, as always, right out of the box!

I like the wide toe box. I wish the cushioning for the footbed was a little deeper.

No shoes are truly "waterproof" unless you are wearing fishing gators! So I bought these knowing that. So to critique these Altras I would say they perform well. Material is a little stiffer but allows for quick dry & ventilation. I wear my pair every day in fall muddy forest trail running and now an average of 14 miles in standard Hok ski bindings daily. I wear alpaca or wool sock for wicking comfort. Altras dry out nicely next to wood stove with newspaper in them nightly when throughly wet. I purchase a new pair every season

Purchased these boots without enough time to wear other than inside before an 8-day European Christmas Markets tour. My feet stayed warm and I was able to navigate most cobblestone walkways without discomfort. No break-in period needed; excellent performance.
I'd also recommend:

I wear an 8.5 and bought the 8.5. They fit perfectly. I put them on and went for a 4 mile hike. There were no blisters and no discomfort. They were comfortable throughout and the cushion made them amazingly comfortable.

Not only are these boots comfortable, but they keep my feet sooooo warm and toasty in this cold weather. I LOVE them. Although I was at first hesitant with the navy blue color (I'm more of a traditionalist for hiking boots preferring a dark brown color), I've gotten used to them and think they're quite pretty as well as being functional. I really, really love them.

This is my second pair of these shoes. There is no break in period and they are so comfortable right out of the box! They are true to size and have a wide enough toe area to fit my bunion but a small enough heel that there is no slippage . They are light weight and this newer model was very water resistant.
Love them!

I finally had to part ways with my old pair...WOW!! This model is a serious upgrade! Love these even more!! Can't recommend these enough. The wide toe box is a game changer, and new refined design.

Having had several pairs of regular Lone Peaks over the past few years that I hike and trail run in, I know and love the fit. This was my first waterproof, over-the-ankle pair that I got to hike some CO 14ers in late June while there was still snow on the peaks. They were perfect - comfortable & reliable - and I never needed to use microspikes either! I used and loved them again on two other trips to CO later in the year - some Class 1, mostly Class 2 hiking routes. That said, I am super bummed that these did not hold up for more miles (I should specify -- the bottoms are fully worn out but the remainder of the shoe is still in tact just fine.) I wore these shoes for literally 20 14er hikes. Probably somewhere between 225-250 miles on them. Maybe that is just the nature of trail runners on rugged terrain, but would love something a bit more durable.

These shoes are very comfortable and functional. My only complaint is they don't stay waterproof and wear out rather quickly. Unfortunately, the sturdier alternate models are too stiff for me.

Pros: immediate and long-term comfort, ankle support, solid tread, stylish
Cons: not even water resistant, soaks quickly in the lightest moisture, sole and upper falling apart in less than one year of moderate use
I love these shoes but in limited settings. Not as durable or waterproof as I'd want in a shoe like this.

These shoes allow my feet to bend and move properly. Not stiff and ungiving. Only issue I have is that they make my feet really hot, and its only the start of May. I wish they would breathe a bit like the other shoes.
Other than that I find these to be a really good shoe.

I am on my fourth pair of these. When I switched from traditional hiker boots my speed increased 1/2 mile an hour almost overnight. The zero drop dramatically improved my metatarsal pain. And I was able to do all this without switching to a trail runner, i love a boot for the support and keeping my foot in place without pressure on the top of my foot. I generally get 300-350 miles on a pair of these before The support goes and my feet start to ache. I also love the unreasonalbe for hiking boots pale blue. I have already bought 4 pairs for my next thru hike.
