I run my dogs in agility so short duration running. The wider width in the forefoot has made all the difference in being comfortable. I don't even have to wear my orthotic in this shoe. What a relief.

bought first pair of Altra's for my grandson six years ago (he runs Cross Country) so when his sister started running this year there was no question the only shoe to get her was Altra.

This is my third pair of Lone Peaks. Have covered 300+ miles of trails with my previous pairs. I am a huge fan. I love the feeling of the thread and how grippy it is. I have narrow heels and wide toes, and these shoes fit just right. They don't slip off or crush the sides of my feet. I hope that Altra keeps the sleek design of the Lone Peak and continues to keep the "pads" as are. I have tried trail hiking/running in Hokas and there is just too much between my feet and the trail.
Great job Altra!

When hiking over 100 miles the extra width provides room for the feet/toes and I believe that helps not to develop hot spots or blisters. As you hike that many miles in a short amount of time (5 days) your feet tend to swell. I did add a smooth insole which also helped. I highly recommend these for long hikes.

I continually buy the women's 11 wide. This is the best fitting shoe I've ever found. The original fit and extra width from the wide option is perfect!! I wish this shoe came in the same style without hiking grips on the sole so I could wear it to play pickleball.

I hike in these in places I thought I would have to use my boots, they are so comfy and sticky, makes me confident on all terrain

I'm actually leaving a review on the previous model which I purchased because they had better reviews than the 7. Just finished up a six day hike on the NCT in the UP (Pictured Rocks Ntl Lakeshore). Not one single blister. Not. One. A+ for Lone Peak 6!

Very comfortable right out of the box for you difficult to fit feet. These shoes run wide in the toe box which i need.

I wear 3 different styles of Altra shoes for different types of activities, the Lone Peak is the best fit for the majority of them. I love that they are offered in vibrant colors, so I don't feel like an old lady wearing them!

This was my second Altra purchase - not for running this time, but for a nursing job. Most every brand I've tried SQUASH my toes/forefoot and fire up the Morton's neuroma on my right foot. We're talking major burning and numbness by the end of a shift. I've been running in Altras for a little while, and suddenly it occurred to me to try them for work. I haven't found a shoe that is this comfortable and provides plenty of room in the toe box while fitting my mid foot and heel perfectly! This shoe is actually foot shaped! No nerve pain, no numbness, no progressive nerve damage...it's nice to NOT think about how bad my feet feel when I'm trying to take care of my patients. Have I found my perfect running/working shoe? I'm just gonna have to buy a third pair to know for sure :)

This is my second pair, because I love the wide toebox. This particular color and light blue is very attractive.

I don't really know how my size 9.5 would feel. My Provisions are just right at 9.5. I read the reviews on the Lone Peak Hiker 2 and Lone Peak 7 and as suggested I bought 1/2 size larger. Size 10 is perfect in this style, especially if you want to wear a mid-weight hiking sock.
Both are summer cool, not waterproof.
This shoe has a 0 drop and feels flat. Both are very comfortable, work for my bad back, my bad knee, and my bad foot. Geez! The outer sole is tough and provides support in all terrain and on wet surfaces. They are cute and I love the colors (brown for Hiker 2, Green for Lone Peak 7).
I don't hike seriously anymore so I can't say how well they hold up for a long hike. They look like they would be fine.
They are comfortable enough that I forget that I have them on. They don't have as much softness in the insole as the Provisions, but that isn't a problem for me.

I wear these shoes at work. I am a nurse and on my feet all day. These shoes are so comfortable I never think about them! If I had to pick a negative aspect, I'd say the shoe laces. They do become untied occasionally which can be annoying.

Have purchased many Ultra Lone Peaks......Very comfortable right out of the box.I would suggest other colors....maybe variations of black? Not such crazy colors....
Also of all the ones I have worn out most of the time it is the back edge of the heel, the puffy foam portion of heel at the top, and the actual bend of the foot--on top the fabric seems to rip at the actual bend spot.
I still love this shoe, just wish lasted tad longer.

My foot is getting wider. This Altra gives me support while also giving me ease with my new width.

The newer design lends itself for everyday wear, not just hiking. I love the fun colors and the comfort is luxury. I wear these running around the city as a personal assistant who is constantly going.

These are great shoes overall. Comfort and width (wide option) are top notch. The color ways are horrible though. Some of us preferred the subdued options the men are offered as well.

I was so excited to receive these shoes from Bzzagent! I tend to go through running shoes about every year and was in need of a new pair. These fit true to size with the perfect amount of give. My foot is pretty medium and my toes didn't feel cramped at all. There was nice cushioning with great bounce during runs. When you're on the treadmill it's like running on clouds and on concrete it's still really comfortable. My foot didn't slip around and I didn't have to readjust at all in the middle of a run.

These shoes are so comfortable that I couldn't believe it. I absolutely love these shoes I wish I could get a pair that were either black or white that would be perfect. I've already recommended these shoes to my mom due to the fact that they are so comfortable! Good job on making such a great pair of shoes!

These shoes are wonderful!! I usually trail run in my Hokas, but these came in just in time as my old trail runners were wearing out. They are very grippy (is that a word haha), comfy as heck, cushiony but they are not as high up on the cushion as my Hokas were which is nice. I don't feel like I am running on a stage like I used to. Helps me keep my balance being lower to the ground. I would absolutely buy these again and recommended them to my partner already. I used them to run outside on cement and asphalt as well as on the treadmill and they were supportive and wonderful on all types of pavement, trail, wet mud, and treadmill. Try these shoes!!

I got the All Wthr hiker as a recommendation from a friend and fell in love with them. I was using them over the winter. Decided I wanted the low ones for summer and my friend warned me that the all wthr would get too hot so try these. I love them so much that I'm getting a second pair. They are incredibly comfortable. I wear them to work and hiking/running on the trails.
