I am so happy with these shoes. I've never found a shoe wide enough in the toe box and narrow enough in the heel. I love them. Only thing I'd change is make the shoe laces a little longer, specifically on the wide width. To make them loose enough around my arch, I have almost no shoe lace left.

Went from Hokas to these because I needed a wider toe box for my bunions. I haven't put a lot of trail miles on these but they seem comfortable. They have cushion but not so much I can't feel the trail. They feel about half a size larger than my other pair of Altras, but I kept them and wear a thicker sock. It was hard to pick a color because I didn't like any of them. I prefer a darker shoe with no white for my trail shoes. Oddly, I went with the beige color because they match the color of dirt around here. Not worried about mud because I have other shoes for wet conditions. Time will tell how long it takes before they look trashed.

This is the most comfortable running shoe I have ever worn. I have always had issues with many running shoes having a too narrow toe box. I will never buy any other brand after wearing these. So why did I not give this shoe 5 stars? It may sound picky but after wearing for a few weeks, the little tab on the tongue of the shoe manages to scrape against my leg causing irritation...similar to those pesky tags in the neck of a tshirt. Very scratchy. I had to cut the tag off my shoes. Love the fit and color!! Wondering if others had same issue or feedback

I ran every day in 2020 in a pair of Altra shoes. They were the first shoe in which I could run without my right foot going to sleep. I used to be partnered with someone who worked for years for Marathon Sports in Boston, and not even he could get me into a shoe I liked as much as those Altras. I continued to wear them until last year because I was afraid I'd never find another pair like it--low cushion and wide enough in the toe box. I was right to be afraid, because Altra has destroyed what was once a good thing. The wide is not wide enough, wides are available only in awful, drab colors--as if only 90-year-olds have wide feet, and all the shoes except one in wide are higher in cushioning. I'm now on my third order, and shamefully Altra makes you shell out the money for shipping each time they refund you, and I have to keep paying for a new pair, trying them on, sending them back, and then waiting an eternity to get refunded, so I'm now in deep for about $400 on my credit card until they issue a refund, and $30 in shipping that won't be refunded, and I still don't have a pair of shoes that fits. I'd love to try a men's wide in my size, just to see if those might work, but I'm done paying for shipping just to be disappointed. Way to make a perfect shoe and then ruin it.

I have many years' worth of wide fit Lone Peaks. It is one of the only shoes my wide feet (with bunions on both the big and small toe on left foot) are comfortable in. I hill walk/hike 5-8 miles a day.
However, Altra is seriously letting down their customers with wide feet. For the last couple of years they have only offered Wide fitting in one color - ONE COLOR! The LP7 is only available in Light Grey. That's not going to look good for very long.
Come on Altra, you have customers who love your shoes and cannot find anything else, but we need the full range of colors.

Love these shoes but the low mileage heel cup failure and lack of product support, it's truly not worth it and they won't stand behind their shoes. A premium price for a great design and terrible quality. Once the heel cup wears through at 70 miles, it will cut your heels badly.

I love this shoe! I'm sad that it is going to be discontinued. The zero drop design, thick sole, and ankle isolation is going to be hard to beat. My feet never felt so good. Sigh

I just returned from walking the Camino Frances in Spain with my 82 year old dad. I walked in my Altra Loan Peak 7 trail runners were on my feet for all 779km (He wore Altra's too). I'm a true fan of these shoes. I'll be buying my new pair soon!!!!

Best shoes ever. I have super wide feet-these shoes were great from the start. On recent trip to Italy, wore these daily, walking for miles and miles each day. They were supportive and comfortable.

I was trying to find a replacement for my Superior 5, which I was wishing the shoe fairy would magically bring back to the shelves. After researching several different options, and trying out a number of them, I finally settled on the Lone Peak 7. Although I have not yet put it through a full test, so far I can say that the comfort and stability feel as great as my old Superior 5. Moderate arch support, plus plenty of room in the toe bed. I am a happy customer.

I purchased a pair of these previously , on the recommendation of a member. No more issues with my Achilles tendon, which I have had issues with forever. Figured it wouldn't hurt to have a backup.

I wear these shoes for everyday walking as well as hiking. The best shoe all around. Do wish they would bring the dark blue color back.

I'm using these as my shoes for my office/ standing desk/ desk treadmill, so they don't go outside. They are so comfortable to stand in all day, I'm back to buy a second pair to wear outside. I even put an extra arch support in the shoe and it still fits great, plus gives plenty of room for my toes to spread out.
I love shoes with wide toe boxes, but I don't always want to wear the zero-drop, no cushion, minimalist styles that are super popular right now. Altra always comes through.
I'd also recommend:
Xero, Feelgrounds, Whithin (all minimalist, though)

I'm using these for golf shoes. I'm battling plantar fasciitis and with the wide toe box and zero drop, they are still supportive and comfortable.

I wear these shoes at the gym, and for everyday use. I currently own three pairs because they are the most comfortable casual shoes I have ever worn. My feet do not feel like they are being forced into a shoe.

A classic for those of us looking for shoes with a roomy toe box. My fifth pair of Lone Peaks and umpteenth pair Altras. Love the red color. It’s bright without being over the top.

After a lifetime of endlessly searching for comfortable supportive shoes, I’ve found nirvana. These are shaped like the one pair of “Earth shoes” I loved as a teen. My Morton’s Neuroma has flared up fiercely after wearing toe socks and mainly sports shoes or Birkenstock sandals for the last five years. Some research pointed me to Vibram Five Toes and Altra. I wear either a size 9 or 9.5 in Merrells and a size 40N in Birkenstock/Papillo, a size 10 in Fryes and Ugg boots. The size 9.5 Lone Pine 7 B width are a perfect fit. I opened the laces and slipped on the R shoe and I swear my foot sighed in relief. It was an OMG moment. One nit, the fabric across the toe box is rippled a bit. So a minor manufacturing issue. I don’t care! These are keepers. Nice foam insert, a bit of arxh support but not too much to trigger plantar fasciitis. Love. Love. ??

I work 12+hour shifts as a nurse and opted for Lone Peaks over OC and Hokas. I didn’t want so much cushion because my toes feel squished and hot. Altras have a wide toe box that let my toes splay naturally as I walk, which leads to less foot soreness after being on my feet all day. I ordered these in red and love them!

I purchased these in a size 8 because that is my size in another sneaker brand. I think these run a little large. The wide toebox was what I was looking for but I should have sized down from the more narrow shoe style I am used to wearing in an 8.

I use these hiking in the Utah desert and Colorado mountains, exercising and work in the hospital. They have been comfortable, given room for my toes to relax and the soles aren't too thick and are more neutral. All these factors help with back and foot pain that other shoes give me.
Thankfully they come in very bright colors that compliment the scrubs I wear at work. It is nice to have one item of clothing on that has personality.
I purchased two of the current "red" Lone Peaks and bought two of the salmon colored ones 2021 year in fear they will stop making the saturated brilliant colors that pair well with the fit and comfort I adore.

I love the shoes. They are the best. I very much dislike your color schemes. The shoes are by far the best and I have tried so many other brands.
Please make black . Grey. White.
