I loved these shoes but I'm just 8 months there's a hole in the toe. I don't even use them for running. I just walk in them.

I just received my shoes and am very disappointed. The size is correct but they are so tight on the top and sides. Weird and painful fit. I used to praise this company but like others the "changes" are no good

I have 2 older Lone Peaks, the last being a version 6 and loved them. Even with my long, narrow foot, they fit pretty well in an 11.5. Now I need the size 12, and it is too wide. I can only imagine that the men's is just as wide. I use for hiking and walking. The Women's Offroad is too padded and too short, and the Superior 6 is long enough in the 12 but not enough tread.
Please, please make a slim version of the Lone Peak!!! It was my favorite summer hiking shoe of all time and I am so sad that this year's versions aren't going to work!

I had the 5's, and they were my all time favorite shoe. These are unwearable. I had the laces all the way loose, and after wearing them for a few days, my feet hurt for days afterwards. The tops squeeze your feet. The box is wide, but your feet get squished between the top and bottom. So weird! Please bring back the good ol' shoes you made.

I wear size 8, but 8.5 in Altra. I ordered 8.5 in the Altra Lone Peak 7 and it was much too big. The soles were quite "rugged" so that the shoe was very uncomfortable.

I specifically ordered a SIZE 8 MEDIUM WIDTH, but my recipient received a size 8 WIDE WIDTH. I just ordered the correct width and hope whoever packs this pair of shoes selects the correct size and width. Verry irritating!

Broke down after 3-4 months of street walking! Very disappointed of the quality! Wanted to be my shoe of choice!

I loved my lonepeak 4s. best shoes I've ever owned. Plenty of width & room for high foot volume, in addition to room for my inserts. I'm so disappointed in the redesign.

This is my second pair of Altra's. I am not sure why my feet "fall asleep" with tingling when I wear this pair. This doesn't happen in the other pair, and it's only my right foot. I think there must be something wrong with the manufacturing or a defect in this shoe I received. I'd love a refund or a replacement pair sent to me.

The old Lone Peaks were so great and my favorite shoe. This new version is awful, the quality went so downhill. They cracked and ripped in the upper where it bends on the toe box, and the inside of the heels wore down so quickly, right down to the plastic and rubbed my heels raw. I threw them out.

So disappointed in Altra. Limited choice for WIDE women's shoes w/original foot shape. Only Lone Peak, beige or white. You guys used to be an unusual and wonderful go-to for all kinds of runs. Sad goodbye.

I wish they would have kept the previous versions of the lone peaks the 4 and 5 were the best. These are cheap and trash now. I don't recommend. I'm a long time fan of altra but not anymore.

The Lone Peak 6s were my favorite shoe. I got the wide width, they fit perfect, color was fine. This version 7 is AWFUL. Why did you make them narrower? The whole point is that these are foot shaped, and I get wide because I have wide feet! Can't do the men's sizes, since they don't make my size (women's 6.5). So now what? Guess I have to find another brand. Really wish y'all didn't mess with a good thing.

I am really disappointed in these shoes. I had the Lone Peak 5 in 10.5 wide. They were perfect. So I was excited to get the latest version, but they are nowhere as wide as the 5 and they are very uncomfortable to wear.

I need a wide toe box and because the other brands I typically buy in a women's D have narrowed down their toe box, I bought the Altra's for the first time. The Lone Peak comes in several colors, except for the wide which is a brutally ugly beige. Now when I see anyone in a beige Altra, I will guess they too needed a wide or else who would buy such an ugly shoe? I also agree that the shoelaces are far too short, especially considering they are wides. The first thing I had to do was buy new, longer laces. I will wear them and try trail running in them but just breaking them in, the feel much more like a road shoe than a trail shoe, not grippy, maybe just for dirt paths rather than trails with rocks and gravel. The price was high for what I got too when compared to other trail runners. At this point, I would not recommend.

No tread, and slippery as heck on rocks, mud, sticks, logs, whatever. You don't even have to be exclusively on wet rocks, the shoe just slips right out from under you, with that weird wing on the back of the heel acting like a ski. Laces are crappy, have to way over tighten to keep them to stay on, and they are loose again in half a mile while also digging into the top of your foot. Something rough inside at the inside of the ball of foot digs in when you slide around, which is often. Somehow they made it worse than before. 100 miles and the heel lining has worn away. Please put real outsoles on these for starters, and stop cheaping out on materials! Don't buy!

No matter how comfortable these shoes are for me, I refuse to look like a bobblehead wearing cartoon-colored shoes. We need more sophisticated color options!

I'm looking to get new Lone Peaks but the colors are awful. I love my black with dark blue accents. I can wear them everywhere. Why the ugly colors? I won't even consider any of these colors.
Please bring back a black shoe and include it in wide. I had to stretch my last three pair at the ball of the foot. Even though I bought wide.
I've had a dozen pairs of Lone Peaks but you are making it hard to stay with these shoes.

Altra quality decreasing and prices increasing. Lone Peak 6 shoe laces too short to double tie! Lone Peak 7 women's colors stop me from even considering!! Need to take a long look at continued support and purchase of Altra shoes!!

The 6s were my go to for work shoes, and I stand all day on concrete. The 7s feel like they have more arch support and it really hurts my ankles and knees. And they don't have my size in the 6s anymore either. I would buy a life time supply of 6s, but not this. They have super cheap shoe strings too.

I am so sad to say it, but these are so ugly and antithetical to all the reasons why I and other people love Lone Peaks. The color options are truly atrocious and they feel like entirely different shoes (decreased width??). The Lone Peak 6 was the best iteration yet. They were perfect - perfect colors, width, stack height, heel loops, etc. This is a very sad misdirection for the LP. I am stocking up on another pair of LP6s, and will cross my fingers that Altra will revert back to the style of the LP6, when designing the LP8.

I have been a long term fan of Altras. And now I'm wondering what is up with their choices at this company. First the messed up tongues that cut people's skin, and now shoes that cannot be worn outside. I bought these shoes last month, and after multiple attempts to scrub with soap, detergent, and then putting them in the washing machine in a last ditch effort, these shoes are still incredibly dirty. After contacting customer support, they basically said that there's not anything they can do. The customer service rep suggested I wipe the shoes down after each use. Do people do that? Seriously?
So, these shoes should not be used for any outdoor use, maybe you could go to church or the gym in them, but nothing that includes the possibility of getting dirt or mud on them.
Luckily, I bought them at Nashville Running store and the owner has been very accommodating with me, but it's not a good look for Altra. Get it together!!!!

I'm super bummed that wide only comes in one color and that the regular fit doesn't feel like the OG fit of previous models. Colors are not great either. LAME.

I've worn most versions of Lone Peak. This one is narrower, the midsole no longer feels level, and the upper materials feel very cheap. Corporate sellout made Altras narrower but I didn't think they'd mess with the Lone Peak. I'm so disappointed and am no longer a brand loyalist. Between the across-the-board quality issues and the narrowing of the shoes in the last couple years, I'm done with their road shoes. And, sadly, now I'm done with their trail shoes.

I'd buy more than one pair if they came in Women's size 13! Yes, I know that Men's 11.5 would work but they scream "I'm a man's shoe" and are wider than women's.
