Really disappointed with this Recent pair I purchased. I ran 500 miles in the previous pair of the same shoe with no issues. As I was breaking in this new pair, something was off with the toe box on the right shoe. It cost me the nail on my right big toe because of the lack of space. They were the exact same size as the previous pair, yet this pair was different for some reason. I had intended to wear them for my fist marathon, but decided on a different shoe due to the toe box issues with the right shoe. This pair has become a walking shoe, and it still aggravates my toenail if I walk long distances. Sad really. Loved the first pair alot. Second pair? Not so much.

I have worn Asics Gel Nimbus for 15 years. The new Gel Nimbus is a completely different style and fit. It's too bulky, too big, too wide and does not have the arch support that it had before. Big disappointment!

The cushion is superb the style is not to my taste and I have so many scuff marks and random broken-off pieces due to the bulkiness. I love the Nimbus 24 and was excited to give this a try but I do not like this shoe very much. I only wear it for long walks with no incline, and I have to only wear them on asphalt or concrete. Leg days in the gym with these are difficult.

Let me start by saying I'm an Over-50 Clydesdale. Been running in Nimbus for last 4-5 years. This latest 25 model feels different than the previous models. It has different rebound and cushioning characteristics. Too much rebound or too much cushion...can't quite tell, but the transfer of energy has changed and I can feel it in my legs.

Can't wear them because they are much too narrow, even though I ordered Extra-Wide. My toe was right at the end of the toebox, too small for my 14 EW foot. Very disappointing.

My feet need extra wide shoes -- any type of footwear. Which is why I purchased the 'extra wide' Gel Nimbus. The Gel Nimbus is undersized (by a full size), cut too tight, with a toe box that's too narrow and nowhere near high enough to make this shoe work for me. Or, I would imagine, for others with 4eee sized feet. Wasted my money. Very disappointing.

Very disappointed. I purchased the road-tested version of this shoe. Despite Asics' representation that the soles on all of their road-tested shoes would have little to no wear, the soles had excessive wear on them.

ASICS Gel Nimbus was great up through 24. 25 & 26 are a total remake of the shoe and really would have benefited from a new name. These were unstable, overly cushioned for a serious runner and not at all functional for me. Online reviews were decent and I decided to give them a try - so thankful for Zappos return policy because these went straight back!

Hello - I recently ordered a pair of Ascis Gel-Nimbus 25 extra wide - it has not been a good experience. The order took about 30 days from the time of order to delivery, the box showed up damaged and now the felt shoe feels funny and ASICS is unwilling to help remedy the situation. The right shoe feels great and I often think about what it would be like to have the left shoe feel the same way as the right one does. I guess I will have to order another pair to find out. Note: I also called the customer service line about this journey regarding my shoes, they were not helpful and/or do not appreciate what a good customer experience is suppose to be like.

Shoes are half size larger than normal. I have been wearing them for over 20 years and bought the same size. They felt loose but thought it was the new style. Don't notice how much larger they were until I tried to measure for inserts. They were so big that the inserts didn't need to be trimmed. Tried to see if I could return but no luck. Time to switch manufacturers.

If I could give a zero star, I would. A few years ago, ASICS made a big change to the Gel-Nimbus. It was somewhere around 20 or 21. I'm guessing that they changed manufacturers, but it could have been something else. What they did was to make the shoe smaller. I had been wearing Gel-Nimbus from 14, but at the 20 or 21 the shoe got smaller. I was able to move from the size 10 to 10 1/2 and that solved my problem. The shoe was a little longer but it didn't affect my running at all. But the change from 24 to 25 is a completely different story. First I had to get used to the wider footprint. The increase in ramp angle and height didn't have much affect, but the wider footprint caused me to kick my opposite foot during my stride. Again, I was able to get used to this without changing my stride at all. Now comes the problem that forces me to leave ASICS after more than a decade. (I'm really sad as the ASICS have been a great shoe for me in the past. I've been running for 50 years, going through 3 - 5 pairs of shoes a year, but I've never had this problem. For my first pair of 25's, I didn't have any problems. For my second pair, I started to get a callous on the outside of my left big toe. It wasn't a show-stopper so I just filed it down and continued running. For my second pair, the callous got worse and I started to build another callous on the outside of my right big toe. Again, not a shoe-stopper but certainly an annoyance. Unfortunately, on my third pair things got progressively worse. First my left big toe started to get painful. I taped it and that helped some. Then my right big toe started to get painful. I tried tying my shoes looser. That didn't help. I tried tying my shoes tighter, but all that did was to cause my ankles to be rubbed raw by the shoe. While I'm trying to find a permanent replacement to ASICS, I found that my normal running sock on top of a thin sock almost works. Even then I need to tape my left big toe. I'm convinced that ASICS made the toe box a lot larger in the change from 24 to 25 and that is the cause to all my problems. My foot is just moving too much inside the shoe. My size is 10 1/2 D, and there is no thinner shoe. My feet have not changed dramatically over 50 years, either getting a size larger a few years ago or getting thinner at the same time the 25 came out. As a foot note (no pun intended), the sole and upper of the Gel-Nimbus look very similar to the Hoka line. One of my running buddies runs in Hokas which he likes because of the wide toe box. Sigh... I am so sad about this as I've never had this kind of pain in over 50,000 miles of running. As they say, YMMV. But if you run high mileage and have normal width feet, you may have the same problem. This is the worst shoe I have ever owned. I have blisters on my heels from this odd restrictive lip and hook on the mouth of the shoe. The massive heel causes abnormal heel strike and my knees are hurting. My gel 24's were perfect and this inexplicable redesign of a perfect shoe is a big fail.

The heel portion of the mouth had a tab and lip that rub on the Achilles area, just a terrible design. Also the size is larger than prior gel nimbus, and the giant heel also causes odd heel strike angle. Enclosed photo shows after lip is cut off by me.

They charged a premium for sloppy delivery and handling. It did not arrive in the original packaging and the shoes look like that they have been worn before. I am not even sure if it is not a counterfeit! I did not even try it on. So I can't comment on comfort and fit.
