A great shoe for my long, easy runs, and recovery runs. I run for hours in them. A solid 4 stars. The plushness of the upper is still there, and the softness of the midsole is still soft. Me having a wide foot, I find there is plenty of room in the toe box when my feet expand. This shoe has spoiled me because I'm so use to the comfort; I don't want to take them off, but I have speed days, and use another shoe for those days. It just has the right amount of squish underfoot. So why not 5 stars? I have wide feet, so while the upper fits pretty good, the outsole rubber doesn't really cover the whole bottom of the midsole. That flaw causes the the outer part of the midsole to wear away as you can see in one of the pictures. On many occasions I almost twisted my ankle because of the wear. Even before the midsole started to wear, within the first 100 miles I almost twisted my ankle because of lack of outsole rubber coverage. Asics shouldn't be afraid of adding a little bit more rubber on common wear spots like the outer part of the forefoot to reduce the risk of getting injured. Had they done so, this shoe would be a solid 5 stars in my book.

I'm an 8.5 so finding a good fit has always been difficult. These are definitely on the larger size. Otherwise, great support, nice and light, and fantastic heel.

Pros: Stylish - The Nimbus 25's are the most stylish Asics models I've seen so far. Fit and comfort - I love the soft material used on the collar, counter lining, toe cap and upper portion of the shoe. This allows me to wear a tighter snugger fit shoe without toe or heel discomfort or irritation. So far, these shoes have protected my joints pretty well during my 13+ mile long runs on heavy dirt trails that contain a lot of rocks and tree roots! No joint pain whatsoever. Cons: Durability on heavy trails - After about 100 miles of rugged trail running with rocks and tree roots, I'm starting to see the front outsole starting to peel off. Please continue with the style and gel technology used in this model for the Nimbus 26! I would like to see an equivalent trail version equally as stylish :)

I have been using the ASICS Gel Nimbus for 5 or 6 generations and the last 2 wow pretty significant departures from previous generations. They are very comfortable but slightly larger than previous ones. So order 1/2 size down from previous Gel Nimbus versions. Extreme cushioning. My foot is neutral and rigid with a high arch.

I have a tender navicular bone and tried and bought every widest shoe and orthotic from all the main shoe and orthotic companies.I stayed away from Asics cause there all too narrow and firm. After failing to find any shoe that doesnt irritate my tender navicular bone I saw the new nimbus 25 and thought....why not,and wow!!!! was I glad I tried them on.They are super soft and wide and do not irritate my bad foot. This shoe is the only one on the market that feels painless,,,,and I tried em all,I wear Altras more often so this toe box is too narrow, but not irritating.I wear these to work and wear another pair to walk in with NO PAIN !!!!.....the upper is super comfy, laces are good, cushion is awsome!!!.I gave 4 stars because the drop is little too much for me(8mm)0to4mm would be ideal to stop the inward roll as most people that want this shoe have flat, wide feet and any heel elevation does more damage than good, but so far not an issue for me...the heel, midfoot, anf forefoot are perfect unrestricted width....but please !!!..Asics ..widen your toe boxes!!!! this shoe would be perfect with a lower drop and wider toe box....and I do not need to wear orthotics with this shoe, cuz it is a supportive pillows on my feet!!

I have these in rotation with the Nike Pegasus 39 and Saucony Triumph 20. They are the most comfortable shoes I've ever run in and my first Asics. They are just soft enough to feel the squish while maintaining support. Almost as much softness in the heal as the Triump 20 but the Nimbus also carries that to the forefoot which the Triumph does not. I immediately noticed how much more lightweight they were. I've been looking for this shoe for a long time. My one and only gripe is the tread pattern or lack there of. It can get a little slippery on leaves on the street. I feel they need more in that area. I do not get that feeling with my other shoes. I was getting a lot of knee pain in the Nike's which lead me to find a more maximal cushion shoe. This is the one you want for maximum cushion while still feeling in control. I wear 12.5 in Nike and that carried over to the Asics as well.

These shoes feel a little too tight to me in the width, but they are otherwise so comfortable, I decided I could live with it! They literally feel like walking on air to me. I walk 1-2 miles a day and they are so bouncy and comfy, it makes my walks more pleasurable. If I do order a second pair (which is likely!) I may try wide rather than medium width, but I have a feeling it would be too wide.

As a long time Nike Pegasus user and I have recently started using Nimbus 24s and I loved them. So, when these came out, I had to see if they are better than the 24s. Unfortunately I was not as impressed with these. While these appear to have a lot more foam underfoot, the comfort mark is missing. Having said that, these are better than other brand max cushioned shoes I have tried. This shoe may be good for runners. But for normal every day usage, these are not as comfortable or provide as good arch support as the 24s. I hope Asics will continue the Nimbus 24s in some form/name. The Nimbus 24s are the pinnacle of comfort for me. Asics, please continue the Nimbus 24s in some form/name.

Ordered same size as my ASICS 23's & 24's. 2nd day walking and I get a big blister on my 2nd toe. I went back to the sizing chart & put in my 12 1/2 for ASICS and it recommends a 13 now. To late I've put on 10+ miles. Confused on how or why the size would recommend bigger. Shoes are very comfortable - been wearing Gel-Nimbus for 15+ years.

Comfy but there's no arch support! This resulted in overpronation that's visibly unattractive. Gel Nimbus 25 also run big. It will be beneficial to oder a half size down for better fit.

The Gel-Nimbus 25 is much bulkier then previous versions, especially the heal. The Gel-Nimbus has been the only running shoe I have purchased for the last two decades. The 25 just does not feel good... I will be examining other options before my next purchase.

Though Extra Wide, the right foot shoe is too tight around the third toe, and rubs on it unconditionally.

Terrible for walking: the heel part of the sole is way too thick compared to the toe, so it feels like wearing high heels when walking. Running is OK, but when walking you feel a lot stress on ankle and leg.

A very comfortable and well cushioned shoe. I am a 73-year-old low mileage runner, and was looking for good support and help with underpronation. The big disappointment is that there is very little to no support. If I had known that the support was nonexistent, I would have not bought these shoes.

I have owned a few generations of the Gel-Nimbus. My favorites were the Gel-Nimbus 23. My new Gel-Nimbus 25 are comfortable and good for running, but they don't work well for my cross-training. The soles are too wide to fit into the bucket of a rowing machine.

Buyer beware. This shoe has a massive heel drop. If you are not accustomed to this, you may not enjoy these at all. I do think they are a solid shoe, but for only certain activities. First - walking. Second - recovery runs with very low miles. I bought these for long runs and they were really bad for me. I had so much pain in my forefoot I was forced to stop running and walk. However that may just be me. I tried to use these on easy runs and same issues. Thought it was a break in issue but really it was just the wrong shoe for me and/or the activity. Recovery runs or walking, this shoe is great for me. Runs of 5+ miles, this shoe is very bad for me.

Did not help relieve my shin splints. I am going back to the Hoka arahi 6 and will not buy asics again. However, it was very comfortable for my feet. Definitely not recommended for leg pain issues.
