I love this shoe. The heel is just as comfortable as the Bondi. I wish I had sized up a half size though as the toe box is not as wide. When wearing thicker socks, they fit a little tight. I get lots of compliments on the color.

Loved the look, but need these in a wide width. Needed an all black shoe that is waterproof. Wish they would have been more comfortable on my feet.

I purchased this particular pair of shor]es because I alreadyhave the same. However, there is a major difference in the shoes. This is my 6th or 7th pair of HOKAs. This shoe doesn't have the bounce and feel that I've become used to. I sent them back! But HOKA has not lost a customer.

These look great to me, but what a slippery shoe on wet pavement. I would not recommend any Hoka "waterproof" or gtx until they actually test them out on wet roads, sidewalks, etc. and realize that they totally missed the mark.

I can't imagine walking a lot in these. A bit stiff and not snug at all.

The fit was good, but there was no flexibility and not much cushioning. I'm going back to my. Hoka Bondis

The shoes have been worn, with hair inside, a dirty sole, and stains!

I used these Hoka's for walking my dog in the mornings. I wanted a lightweight waterproof Hoka for the summer. My feet were wet after walking. I returned them.

The shoe is comfortable but keeps rubbing on back of heel after tightening the laces. Most shoes need breaking in but shoe seemed too stiff for my taste

They also did not give my feet any support.

The fit was loose, but mainly there was no arch support for me. Also, the material seemed cheap, as what looked like a material change online was just a plastic decal on the actual shoe! Flimsy.

Shoes are NOT true to size, you have to buy a size pair up. And they're not as comforting as described.

I can’t imagine wearing these for a long hike. I wore them one day in Portugal and my feet were super sore. I ordered my true size, but they run narrow, and are heavy. They are cute, but unfortunately I’ll have to return them.

I thought they would fit better and be more comfortable. Nothing like the Clifford 8 style. If I could replace I would.

The shoes felt very stiff when I first put them on, but thought taking them out a few times would help me get used to it. I ended up only going for a half mile walk. The right shoe made a popping/clicking sound and feeling with each step. I wondered if it's because of the Goretex exterior? The Challengers also feel narrow compared to the Speedgoats, which is what I've been wearing for years. I exchanged for a pair of Goretex Speedgoats! Hopefully they are squishy and silent :)

Although they were good in the beginning, comfy and waterproof, they didn't last long. Must be something with the waterproof material because they got a hole in them within a few months. My other (non waterproof hokas) lasted much longer (and the tread went out on them before the material did).

I bought the Challenger 7 GTX because its colors are beautiful, and I love my Bondi 8 so much I thought I could trust the brand. I have knee osteoarthritis and need lots of insulation to protect me from pounding on cement sidewalks and hiking trails. But this had very little bounce, padding or protection compared to the Bondi. Worse, one of the shoes keeps coming up in the back when I walk, and I have to tie it very tightly to keep it firmly on. This has never happened to me in my life before. I'm a perfect size 7B and have no fitting problems. I decided to keep the shoes because I don't think they are dangerous, and they look so pretty, but I won't be wearing them when I'm going to be doing much walking. I expected more since they're more expensive than my go-to shoe, Allbirds. But Allbirds are much better for my needs, and I don't think I'll be experimenting with Hoka again. Expensive and don't do what a high quality running shoe should do? No.

Like they are rugged & waterproof; but the worst foot feeling to wear during the rainy season. Feet feel miserable. My other Hoka are better.

I have several pairs of Hokas and love all of them except for this one. The shoe is narrow (made my foot fall asleep) and tilts down towards your big toe when walking. Should have listened to the reviews - had to return.

If you take out their insoles and use your own insoles the shoe won't hit you in the right places . Most of hokas shoes are like this now. :( they need to have more depth . My foot is narrow and I normally size up due to long distance hiking . Only tolerated if I wear paper thin socks which I hate because a light cushion is better for blisters but then show is too tight . I love hoka kahas . I hope this shoe gets better cushioning. Shoe Says max but more like balanced . Also very narrow toe box. Fits like a dress shoe with high heels and have to wear panty hose in order to get the shoe to sit where it's supposed to.

I don't know why the inside of the shoes started to reap around the ankle on the sides .
