I bought these shoes to hike the Colorado Trail which is 487 miles. These shoes were awesome and comfortable for the first 100 miles but really starting giving out after the 100 mile mark. By the time 200 miles rolled around, these shoes were falling apart. There are rips on the top of the shoes making it so that they are no longer water proof. A big chunk of foam on the front of the shoes ripped off. The fabric is wearing in odd places and the bottom of the shoes are wearing quickly. I am disappointed in how quickly they deteriorated and will be lucky to get through the rest of the trail without having to buy a new pair of shoes.

I needed a waterproof running shoe bc I need to run on grassand the grass is almost always wet. These shoes are in fact waterproof, lightweight, and very comfortable. I had some low back pain and knee pain before that I am not feeling since I bought these Hoka shoes (I'm 58 years old).

So far I've only used them for shorter distances up to 6 miles. I love how they are waterproof and not stacked as high as my bondis I race in. I was gifted these from Achilles International for winning the Hartford Half in the AWD (athletes with disabilities) division. I always use Hokas and I'm happy to add this to my collection. Ty Hoka you make running as a para athlete that much easier! I also love the color so cars see me! I'm also a pedestrian trauma survivor who was unfortunately hit while running and these colors help me feel that much safer. If you ever need an Hoka One One ambassador let me know haha! You make Amazing shoes!!!! TY for making the best shoes ever!

Loved the look, but need these in a wide width. Needed an all black shoe that is waterproof. Wish they would have been more comfortable on my feet.

They certainly fit. They were incredibly comfortable. I've never worn Hokas before, but decided to try them because of all the hype. If you're used to New Balance or Brooks like I am, your first reaction is going to be how very massive the heel portion looks! I'm sending this particular pair back since I didn't like the color as much as I thought I would, but I'm ordering a different pair of Hokas, since I'm really pumped to try them. I'll post again in a couple of months--after putting some miles on them--to let you know if they live up to all the hype.

Have both GTX and non-GTX, my toes touch the toe box on GTX. I think going up a half size would be too big.

I’ve been wearing Hokas since 2016, so I had high hopes for these vibrant shoes. However, the toe box on these is a little narrower than the other Hokas I’ve had; they rub on the inside of the ball of my foot/base of my big toes. The lacing doesn’t go out that far on the foot, so I can’t adjust that at all. I wish these came in a wide width, because I’d snap them up in a hurry! However, I am sadly returning them and getting a different pair. If your feet are the least bit wide, you may want to skip these. :(

I live Hoka, and these do not disappoint! My only issue was that because of the Gore-Tex lining, the shoes are a bit narrow. I am a women's size 9m and they are snug width wise, in the forefoot. I did not return them, I wore them for 3 days straight, for at least 2 hours and they now fit fine. Zappos has a great return policy, so try wearing in the house before u send them back. I do not have shoe stretchers, so I did mine the old fashioned way, but if you stretch them, don't crank it too tight, you could rip them! I hope this helps!

Took it out for a spin on a pretty rainy day. My feel stayed dry even against the puddles and pretty hard rain, which was exactly why I bought these. Maybe because they are new, they gave me blisters, and not as 'molding' to my feet as my Nike's pair but will give these a few more runs to mold to my feet and hopefully they get more comfortable.

Overall, the shoe is fantastic! Love the more aggressive tread. Delighted they made the Challenger 7 GTX with a Plush sole. But none of the Plush GTX versions of the Hokas I have tried (first Bondi, then Challenger) fit the same as the non-GTX with my orthotic in them. Darn!

I have overpronation and flat feet with a very low arch. My foot doctor once told me I should never run, but after trying Hoka shoes four years ago at a specialty store, I realized how supportive and life-changing the right shoes could be. I wear Challenger 6, and 7 Gore-Tex mainly for golf and long walks. Because of my overpronation, I use orthotic insoles and go up half a size (size 7). My feet are normal width, and this fit works perfectly. These shoes provide excellent stability and traction, especially outdoors. The Gore-Tex material keeps my feet dry during early morning walks or damp golf rounds. They cushion my steps beautifully while keeping me balanced, which is essential for my knees and hips. Even after long hours on the golf course, I don't feel pain or fatigue. The Challenger 6 Gore-Tex especially feels like it was made for people with tricky feet like mine strong support, roomy toe box, and soft yet firm cushioning.

Been looking for a waterproof shoe for golf. This shoe is perfect. Keeps feet dry and warm. Wish the shoe came in a wide width but after wearing them twice the width is fine. I ordered the TB green color. It works with blue and black shorts/pants. Not as cushiony as most HOKA but is softer than other brands. I will purchase another pair when needed.

I mainly got these shoes to walking around the city (Pittsburgh) on snowy days. I am still breaking them in, but I just wish for more cushion to be honest.

I've always wore Solomon hiking shoes for past 10 years but I decided to change it up and try Challenger 7 GTX. They are great for hiking and running trails. Very light and have nice cushion for the support of all the bouncing. I would recommend to size up 1/2 size just because the toe areas are narrow.

I've worn Clifton's on the past, but bought these bc we live in the mountains now, so we go on hikes or inclined walks everyday. I have a bad back & neck so I like having the cushion. I plan to try a few other hiking styles for comparison.
