I got these to use at the gym for my cardio classes and boy I am happy my son recommended them to me! I feel like I am walking on air. When I jump the impact is not so bad on my knees due to these sneakers. Well worth the money invested!

This is my first pair of Hokas and I have to say it's worth the price! Great plushy feel, super lightweight shoe. Great for pavement to different terrains. Nice and breathable my feet don't feel hot in them. Great goretex layer and can rinse off the outside after use. I'm a size 5 usually but I purchased a size 5.5.

I ordered this shoe according to the shoe size finder chart it recommend I wear size 8 in this shoe in which I think I should have got it a half sides larger because the fit was a little snug this particular shoe is a little narrow but I'm afraid to order a wide sides. Is there a actual store I can walk into and try on a pair.My size in a regular women shoes is an 8-1/2

Wife likes the Gore Tex hiking shoe but wishes it would come in a Wide size. Looks like not too many Women's shoes from HOKA come in Wide size though.

After my Hoka Speedgoats started to wear out, I decided to try the Challenger because I wanted a waterproof sneaker for cooler and wetter weather, and I liked that the sole of the challenger was a little more textured and technical. But I have found these to be significantly less comfortable in the instep, to the point where I actually think they’re pushing my foot out of alignment and causing pain. So far, they seem to be holding up a bit better than the Speedgoats but I also have not put nearly as many miles on them yet. They are a lot more padded in the upper, but don’t have quite as much to give in the footbed. They are still lightweight, but not as light as many of Hoka’s other sneakers. I think if you like a stiffer and more padded upper, you’ll appreciate these, but unfortunately, they aren’t for me.

Arch position was a little off for my foot so the support wasn’t quite what I wanted. Plus, the pair I received were clearly worn and returned because they were quite dirty and had chunks of mud in the sole. I’m pretty sure it’s the last size 5 in inventory because I considered ordering a different pair to see if it made a difference, but it was sold out. So not trying again on these from Zappos.

The Gore-tex materials are wonderful. Unfortunately the soles are not non-slip and the toe box seems to be more narrow than the older Hoka's I am replacing. I wear these to work and my feet start out feeling well supported. As the hours go by the discomfort in my outer foot sets in. I didn't start wearing these right after purchase because I needed non-slip soles in the winter, I'm past the 30 days for an exchange. Just giving my feedback- if you usually wear a slightly wider shoe, these are too narrow.

I received my shoes on 9/19/23. I have loved the fit and comfort from day1! Also, the fact that they are waterproof is a big plus for me! However, they are beginning to come apart/fray on the tops of both shoes! This should NOT be happening after only 6 weeks of wear!!! I wear them every day, but I am no athlete or runner. I wear them to work and to walk my dog in the evenings. I am very disappointed that I paid as much as I did only to have holey shoes that are no longer waterproof in those areas. I am also irritated that in order to receive an exchange or refund I must mail the defective shoes back to the company. It is a hassle and I need the shoes for work until I receive my exchanged pair. Why should I have to go out of my way to return defective shoes? Not pleased

I bought the Challenger sneakers for my ICU Nurse/daughter. She LOVES them, only wears Hokas because she needs to be able to 'run'. She says she can now easily/comfortably put on 10 miles each shift.

I wore the Challenger non-GTX all last summer. Although listed as a hiking shoe it is perfect for urban walking as it has a stronger tread that holds up to cement sidewalks. I got the GTX model for the winter and it delivers the same durability and comfort with no wet feet! I went up half a size to allow for heavier winter socks.

I love them! I love the color! I wore them right out of the box and walked over three miles. No back ache, no foot or knee pain. I bought these to replace some older gore Tex sneakers that were good while they lasted. I need them to walk in rain and snow. So far, I’m very happy! I love that that aren’t big and bulky!

I am sad to see they stopped making these. I review all my hokas. I am a mail carrier. I walk 15 miles a day five days a week. I have been trying all different hokas because my foot surgeon wants me in them. I usually have to buy them every other month but these are the first to last me four months. I just had to put some shoe glue on the sole but they still have life left in them and still look great. I want more but they are no longer making them and I am unable to get them in black.

The shoes were great in the toe bed and length. The heel was too big for my skinny ankles. The Challenger 8 fits me perfect but this one didn't work for me and I had to return it.
