I have the same exact pair from last year. But I put these on. I feel like I’m wearing my husband sneakers. My foot shifts way too much left to right in the back feels too big.

Have left Hokka and the challenge of six for many years, this challenge of seven is supposedly the upgrade since six is no longer available. It is not even close to the same shoe, doesn’t even feel like it’s the same company. Run bigger, the sole is so thin you can feel EVERYTHING on rugged terrain. Any hikes over 4 miles in my feet starting to hurt. So very disappointed, this shoe is not HOKA quality. Start looking for another shoe, this is not for you if you expect Hoka quality.
I'd also recommend:
Heard, OC has a good reputation. Will try since this shoe is no longer worth the money.

These are great looking shoes. They hurt my feet and I'll be returning.

They felt awesome for the first three hours. After that they hurt so bad! I went to a shoe store and the guy measured my foot and watched me walk, he says I have flat feet and recommended the Hoka Giovata or Arahi. But those hurt my feet too.

I've order an 8.5, too narrow. I order 8.5 wide, one inch longer than the other 8.5.
I asked for a wider width not a longer shoe. My thought was they sent a men's 8.5 instead of ladies. So I ordered it again 8.5 same issue. I will try once more to order 8 wide, assuming it will be a perfect fit.

I ordered these shoes because I work on my feet 9 hours straight (daily) without sitting! I love the "balance" I have w these shoes but there is not enough cushion or arch support! Has helped my knee pain because I'm standing more upright and balanced!

The shoes were big, but I could have made them work with lacing. However, they just weren't comfortable for me. Disappointed.

I have purchased more pairs of challengers than I can possibly count. I purchased the 7's and threw them into my rotation for my long runs. I just ran my 8th run in them and there are holes ripping all over in sides of the shoes. I'm not sure what they did to change this shoes, but I've never experienced this in any of my other pairs in the past. I am hoping this pair was maybe a "lemon" and will try another. Hope I am not disappointed and will have to be looking for another brand.

I have only had these shoes for 5 months and they are wore out. I don't run. I bought these for every day wear as I have bought my other 4 pair of Hokas. I have bad knees and they have always been the most comfortable durable shoes until this pair. I usually get about a year or more out of my Hokas. Highly disappointed this go round

Feels and looks like it is a man's size rather than a woman's size 9, lots of extra room in the length and width of the toe area. Looks to big.
I would return it, however I have warn it to see if it would work anyway.

last year, I bought Bondi 7 as recommended by Hoka, it was great, I could walk for hours and my feet will not hurt. I wanted to buy a new pair but you are not making it anymore per suggestions of the site I bought the Challenger 7. When I got them never tried them and took them for a three weeks trip. They did not work, after less than a hour walking me feet started to hurt, So disappointed. And I can not returned them since the 30 days is over

The shoe ran true to size, but I found it was very narrow. I don't normally wear a wide, so I exchanged it for the Stinson Atr 6, which fit perfect. I do a lot of hiking and walking with my dog and recently got a stress fracture on my left shin, so I was looking for a shoe that was very correct in fit and that was a bit plusher for my recovery.
I think if you have a skinny foot this shoe would be great.

The tread is very aggressive. Feels like a hiking boot, rather than a sneaker.

These are light weight and very comfy to walk in but I don't think the style is for me. They feel too high at the heel but I do plan to try another style of Hokas.

My Hoka's have always been very comfortable first day out the box. This brand feels flat not as supportive. I have had my last pair for over a year and a half and they are more comfortable than this pair

Loved my Clifton 8s, but wanted to try a different style. These are more narrow in the toe and the heals hurt. I'm exchanging for Clifton's.

The souls of these shoes are HARD! Not comfortable at all! Might as well walk barefoot on concrete.

I have really loved the comfort of the Clifton series, but wanted something with a tougher hide that would withstand the miles both on and off trail (through outsole on Cliftons before I hit the 100 mile mark). While these shoes seem to work okay for walking, they cut into the side of my ankles (especially right) when I run. I don't know if the profile is too high, or if mechanically it is just a bad design (for me at least). I simply cannot wear them for more than a mile without such pain I need to stop running. And I am a distance runner.

Not as plush as the Stinson ATRs. I went with the Challenger ATR because it was supposed to be a good mix for road and trail but found these to be pretty thin in the toe box, plenty of heal support tho. Felt like I was running on cardboard. I returned these and bought the Stinson ATR 6s instead which are WAY more plush and stable. Will continue to stick with the Stinson ATRs from here out out.

Not appreciably different from my other sneakers in terms of comfort or support. Just twice the price.

I'm a relatively new Hoka customer. I found these shoes to be not as wide as other Hokas I've purchased. I really wanted to like these but they just didn't quite fit.
