From the moment I put them on. I thought what happened to the new Clifton? I've worn them since Clifton 1 prior pair Clifton 8. Honestly these 9s felt like boards on my feet. I totally wanted them for the beautiful pink color too and wanted them to work but gave up and sent them back. No idea if they will accept them but I had no use for them at all. I'm a dedicated Hoka fan and look forward to Hoka fixing whatever it is that's broken. Such a major difference. Hopeful for Clifton 10!

I loved HOKA Clifton , this is my third pair and they are different. Fit is smaller in toe and the arch doesn't seem right either. I keep wearing them hoping i will like them but I DO NOT.

I've always worn hokas but lately I feel like each pair I get, aren't getting the job done. My feet still hurt and these specifically hurt my calves.

I love the color but am used to wearing Hoka Bondis and this shoe is nowhere near as comfy. I’m on my feet a lot and need comfort.

I gave it a chance. They said, try to break it in. Use it for some days, the more I use it, the more pain it has cause me. My whole legs are hurting for some days. It looks good on me but the pain is not worth it for this shoes. Very much disappointed.

I sprained my foot and couldn't walk well so I ordered these. The color, style, & size were all wrong. I haven't even gotten the replacement yet because I am too hurt to drop off the wrong shoes to be shipped. I feel like there could have been a better way to send me the accurate shoes considering it wasn't my fault.

I have to be honest and say I was not happy with the Clifton at all. I thought I could try and get a different pair as I am used to the bondi but it just doesn't compare. I ended up returning them and exchanging them for my original Bondis. What I didn't like was the back part how it comes up high on the heel I felt like my heel and ankle were squeezed in and it was just uncomfortable for me

Worst sneaker I've ever bought. I work in the restaurant business, have sensitive feet and bought this exact pair. The bottoms have completely fallen apart, within a month. I know their not considered restaurant shoes, but I tend bar, and need comfort. Sad they didn't work for me.

I had really high expectations for my purchase of Clifton 9 based upon research & recommendations from friends/coworkers. They were comfortable for about a week or two. My feet & hips hurts after wearing them all day now. Disappointing waste of money.

Have worn Hokas for years .. same size and width in all styles … until now. Are Clifton 9s now gender neutral sizing??? I ask because my normal women’s size was beyond huge. Returned and ordered Arahi with no issues.

The arch support is gone. Not worse. It is GONE. I tried other Hoka styles and it seems like now that they are so popular they are not able to keep up production quality to meet the demand. All of them have less arch support that my overwork 8s and 7s. have been wearing Clifton's for at least 7 years. After one day wearing these my arches were falling and cramping. What a loss to those that appreciate quality footwear.

I LOVE Hoka shoes, and have many pairs of the Clifton 7's and 8's, but I do NOT recommend the Clifton 9. They have completely changed the design. The toe box is now narrow and tight, and the heel, tongue and arch are way too big, and it feels like your heel is slipping out. Very uncomfortable and a really weird fit. Please bring back the Cliftons that everyone has loved for years!

I was excited to get my new Clifton 9's in the mail because in the past, they've done wonders for my sore feet. I'm a nurse and on my feet all day either at work or with my young kids. I've been exclusively wearing Clifton 9's since I discovered them a few years ago. Unfortunately, these shoes -- identical to all the others I've purchased in model and size -- hurt my feet almost immediately. My feet cramped up when wearing them, and I developed plantar fasciitis within 2 weeks of wearing them. Once I realized the shoes may have been causing an issue, I swapped them out for my old Clifton 9's, which were much more comfortable. I'm so disappointed and have never had this problem before!

Honestly praying that they bring back the Clifton 8's. I had mine for almost 2 years and recommended them to EVERYONE. I had never had a shoe that I put on and immediately made me want to go for a run. You put them on and they felt like you were walking on air! I had everyone in my family buy a pair and they loved them too! These Clifton 9's feel like a completely different shoe in the worst way possible. Stiff and hard, uncomfortable to say the least, I couldn't get them off fast enough. PLEASE GIVE ME MY CLIFTON 8's!!!! I want to cry at the thought that they're just gone. Please please please! If it's not broke don't fix it!

I had always heard great things about Hokas. Much to my supreme disappointment the shows are uncomfortable. For the first time I have heel pain on the right foot. It also causes pain in my toe. The shoe is too high on the right outside. I really don't get all the hype. I bought the Clifton's.

after having over 12 pairs of Hokas I now have to quit the brand. Every pair of shoes you make, for women at least, seem to be as wide as they are long. My feet would have to be square to be comfortable in them! Make the Stinson 3 womens again and I will take 12 more pairs.
I'd also recommend:

If you like the Clifton 8 DO NOT BUY THE CLIFTON 9. The fit is completely different. The Clifton 9 fits tight and it feels much longer than the 8. I ordered the same exact size I used to wear on the Clifton 8 but 9 fits so uncomfortable I will have to return them. I don't understand why Hoka keeps changing what works.

I loved my Clifton 8 and would have bought many more pairs (I have 3). But they dropped production of them for the Clifton 9, which is a totally different fit and doesn't work for me. The same size/width is too big and doesn't hit my arches correctly.
