This was my third pair of Hokas. I loved the first 2 pairs, and this pair nearly destroyed me. I noticed right away that my feet were tipped forward and inward in this shoe, but I thought - "I just need to break them in." The pain came on gradually which meant I ascribed it to other causes. But everything hurt - ankle, knee, back, hips, shin. I was limping noticably, and I went to a muscle restoration therapist for help. I finally decided to go with the Brooks Ghost that I'd loved in the past, hoping that a different shoe would help, and the change was dramatic. The pain was gone in 24 hours. I probably won't ever buy another pair of Hokas.

Have worn Ons for years for running. Tried my first pair of Hokas - instantly got blisters. Sadly Zappos doesn’t except returns and I’m stuck with an expensive pair of shoes. Beware.

I purchased these for my mother. She related that when she slipped her feet into the shoes it felt that her toes were lifted upward and it was very uncomfortable. She felt off balance

They are small and narrow, they say made in Japan, Hokas are not made in Japan I already have a pair of these. They are completely different.

After wearing a pair of Hoka's Clifton 8 and loving them, we decided to order a new pair of Hoka's Clifton 9 shoe. We ordered the same size as the last two pairs of Hoka's. However, after wearing them for a week my daughter's feet are in pain and she can no longer tolerate wearing the Clifton 9's. They seem unusually narrow - the pair that was ordered are in fact size "wide". Hoka must have changed something in their design. Very disappointed.

I wanted to love these. Everyone raves about Hoka. They were so uncomfortable. I bought them to wear doing a lot of standing. They kill my feet the second I put them on. They also run small for me. I ordered my normal size and needed at least a half size larger. They are also too narrow in the toe box. I am hoping to return.

I liked these a lot at first, but after wearing them for a month the sole started coming off the toe of the right shoe. Also, I started having pain on the top of my foot and my ankles after wearing them all day. I previously had the Bondi and will go back to that style. These were disappointing.

Fit and size were just right. However, something about the shoe itself felt off. Upon adjusting the laces, the inside of my ankle was in excruciating pain just trying to walk around with the sneakers.

I had read mixed reviews but love my other hoka's so decided to give this pair a try. Sadly, they are quite disappointing and horrible for running or walking. Just feel very inflexible and stiff.

I love the look and feel of these, great cushion and seem supportive but run HUGE! I normally wear a 6.5 in Brooks and most other shoes, but even the 6.0 was too long on me and I was afraid if I went down to a 5.5 the arch would fall in the wrong place. Also a tad heavy. So sadly I had to return.

I was in so much pain the hour I wore theses. My legs and back were in constant pain. When I tried to return these I was told they are not eligible for return even though when I looked at the site there was a 69 day return policy. I am very upset.

I tried the Clifton 9 after several pairs of Rincons, only because the Rincon not currently available in my size. The shoe is ok, but just not the same, too bulky for me. Hoping the Rincon 4 is released soon!

I bought these because I have a black pair we purchased in a store that I love how they fit and the support they give my feet. So I ordered this color and I knew as soon as I put them on that they didn't have the same support on my arch. I only wore them once and have returned them already because I knew I wouldn't wear them again. I really wish that they would have fit like my black pair because I loved the color of this pair.

I just received a second pair of size 5 Clifton's. I ordered a 9 wide. There is a problem with the label. One area says 9, but the other says file:///var/mobile/Library/SMS/Attachments/fd/13/C1BC3C91-D3EC-4297-B87C-970EE58DB213/IMG_6165.HEIC

I got these shoes several months ago after being fitted in store and was smitten. They seemed super comfy, and I incorporated them into my running shoe rotation. Soon after, I started having occasional Achilles stiffness, which I attributed to aging. Well, this morning after my run, my Achilles was feeling stiff, and I noticed a red mark on my ankle that felt bruised. That was the aha moment! I put on my Clifton's, and, lo and behold, the enormous projection on the top of the heel was hitting that very spot when I extended my foot. I can't imagine why there is such a huge projection there. I hope that future models get rid of it. It probably isn't an issue for most people, but I am short, and it hits at just the wrong spot.
