I have always been a huge fan but the new Clifton 9 did not meet ny expectations the 8s were more stable and comfy

Clifton is a shoe all my running friends love. I love Stinson 6 but lately the 9.5 just does not seem wide enough and they do not in wide. It does appear to be a wider shoe than other ATRs that are in wide. But I did guy the All Gender Stinson and the 9.5 W is better.

I can't explain it but I bought a pair of Clifton 8's and about (1) month later purchased a pair of Clifton 9's. The Clifton 8's are great. The Clifton 9's not so much. the fit is such that I find myself very hesitant to purchase another pair of HOKA's

The shoes were too big for size. I did the exchange but the policy was not clear about when the item will be sent out. Apparently the new item won't be sent out until received from USPS. It would take me 2-3 weeks to get the new shoes. I wanted to cancel the exchange and buy a new ones but customer service couldn't do that either. Wasted my half hour on the phone for nothing. First time with Hoka shoes is very disappointed.

Bummed about the aesthetics of the 9 (not to mention many other things about it, which I wrote about earlier.) The black shoe in particular is going backwards to an earlier time of loud graphics and colors. Whereas my 8s had a sleek, minimal aesthetic that made for good lifestyle shoe, the 9 (in black) is textured with slightly reflective dots and zigzags and bright white bits...not a welcome evolution for those of us (there are so many) that don't want a shoe that screams sport and running.

Not as comfortable as I thought. Good on the heel but if you do not have a high arch, it's going to hurt your foot after awhile.

I bought these shoes due to the great hype surrounding them, all the nurses I see wear them and swear they are the most comfortable, they are ok not the worse but to me overrated, my foot rubs on the inner side, I will no be ordering another pair.

They were narrow for wide width shoes. Not as comfortable as previous hokas I've had. Returning.

I thought these would be good to work in. They have no cushion at all but I do like the stability they have

I was disappointed to find the shoes too tight in the toe box. I wear an 8.5 EE at least. Even though these shoes were touted as wide, they were not wide enough for my feet. They looked like very comfortable and substantial shoes otherwise. I returned the pair I purchased. I had to find a box to put them in for return at the USPS. That was a pain. I didn't have a very satisfying experience. They are good shoes, but like so many others, not made for my feet.

are not as supportive or as comfortable as my 8's. I have been a devotee for years and always buy the Clifton--same size, same width. These feel so roomy that it's like I have flippers on my feet. Even my orthotics fit differently. I run 5 miles a day, 6 days a week and I've worn these for a month now and my feet are a mess (blisters) and my ankles hurt. If I could return I would.

Tried this on in a running store the other day and was very disappointed. Something about the way the upper fits rubs my ankle bone horribly. There's absolutely no way I would be able to run in these. Not to mention they just look like clown shoes on my feet. I was a huge lover of the Clifton 8 and will be stocking up before they are gone for good. I hope that the next version of the Clifton will go back more to the vibe of the 7 and 8 because this is just a dud for me. Real bummer.

This was my 6th pair of Hokas. However this one had to be returned immediately. The horrible chemical smell coming from the shoe was intolerable. I'm not sure if there needs to be more quality in products or the glue but something was very wrong on this shoe. I am so disappointed, I really wanted to try the new style.

I had been waiting to try a pair of Hokas for a long time. Would have bought the Clifton 8 if I had liked any colors. Finally got some cute colors with the Clifton 9 and I immediately purchased. Unfortunately I found them to have a lot less support and cushioning than I had been expecting. Super disappointed.

I love the Clifton 8. Was excited about Clifton 9. These did not work for me. I have a back injury and need a lot of support in my shoe. These were not as good as Clifton 8. I had to return

These definitely run long. I typically wear a 6.5 wide in sneakers, but I had to size down to a 6. I probably could even wear a 51/2. These felt comfy when I first put them on. During walking my shins and calves were screaming . On a second walk my knees and hips were really bothering me. I really like the looks , but will not be wearing them on my daily walks. I feel like I threw away over $150.00

Even with the wide width, this shoe felt too narrow for comfort. Also, it's uncomfortable around the ankle.

I really wanted to love these but each time I run in them, my feet cramp in the area around my arch. comfortable for everyday wear but unfortunately did not work as a running shoe for me.

I really really wanted to love these shoes. I think they're super cute and love the cushion. However, I have narrow feet and they're too narrow even for me especially in the heal area. The outside of my left foot would go numb after a little bit cuz the edge of the sole is so narrow. I've worn them a couple times and already they look dirty. The upper area seems super cheap also and can't see it holding up. So disappointed that they didn't work for me. Will return and go back to my trusted Brooks.
