Resorted to online shopping because the stores just don't carry much in my area. Will be returning these because the insole ends in a hard lump just under the edge of my arch. Afraid it will cause irritation. Pretty color and otherwise a good fit.

Use for my daily walk on a concrete path. Shoelaces are the correct length.

I should have listened to reviewers. Far inferior to Clifton 8---toe box too small and hurts my foot. Do not like the high tongue. The cushioning is far less than the previous.

First, I am usually Hoka's biggest fan! Hoka running shoes are my go-to shoes (I have a knee injury so I only wear running shoes with a lower heel to toe drop).
I was excited to wear Hoka Clifton 9 shoes, but to my surprise it feels like the entire design was different. I absolutely hate the new narrower design of the Clifton. I wore a Hoka Clifton 8 size 7. In the Hoka Clifton 9, I tried size 7, 7.5, 7 wide, 7.5 wide, and all felt like they did not fit well. The normal sizes are too narrow. I am disappointed because the Clifton was my favorite as a daily trainer.
Please go back to the Clifton 8 design!
I am skipping over Clifton 9 and hoping you change back the design for Clifton 10.

I love Hokas but was not happy with recent purchase. Felt like there was no padding and support like the last pair I purchased. Expensive shoes and was disappointed in recent purchase.

My podiatrist told me I needed the next size up which is a 12… my previous Hoka Arahi 6 was an 11. I know different models have different designs but my feet were literally swimming in these 12’s - they were too big all around and almost felt like the sizing was for men and not women. The box said women’s 12. The look of the shoe otherwise was cool but given the sizing discrepancy, I had to return them.

Not the sneakers for me apparently. I have an SI joint fusion and I thought perhaps these would help the continuous pain that I still have. However, it made it worse and caused bad spasms, so they obviously weren't what I needed.

This is my first pair of hokas and I had such high hopes. I was told wonderful things and I have high arches. I took the quiz and this style was my shoe result; however after walking in them they make my feet burn and I will most likely return or hopefully exchange for a different design shoe for my feet. My activities include: treadmill walking, lifting weights, and leisure walking with them.

This shoe was purchased to replace a pair of Hoka Mach 4’s. As other reviewers have mentioned, this shoe has a longer tongue than other Hoka styles. It rubs my ankle bones in such a way as to cause pain with every step. Additionally, these shoes are much heavier than my Mach 4’s. Too heavy. Had to send them back. Hoka, shorten the tongue to the length it used to be and reduce the weight of this shoe.
I'd also recommend:
Nike Vaporfly 2; for narrow feet only

Bought these for my daughter who is a nurse based on reviews. She wore them for 3 weeks and while she states they are very comfortable, the soles started to separate after only 2.5 weeks and make a clicking sound when she walks.

I am older and wear orthotics - I don't want to wear extremely bright unusual colors. I want to wear a color that blends with day to day life. NO white that glows in the dark or black because I'm short and black just emphasizes that fact!
If I could suggest some more Clifton 7's or 9's in some more "soft" colors? Or more compatible with everyday living?

Shoes were too bulky and after wearing for a few days my feet started to hurt. I guess they were not for me. I've returned them.

I use this product as my work shoes. I am a waitress and I wear them 5 days a week for my 6-8 hour shifts. They have been great in the area of comfort however they are not durable at all. They have already started to fall apart and it's only been a little over a month since I purchased them. Parts of bottom of the shoe are coming off in chunks and the sides of the rubber are no longer smooth and instead look like someone tried to shave them with a cheese grater. I wish these shoes were more durable because I would buy them again and again if they lasted longer. Overall for the price it's not worth it for me for a shoe that lasts 2 months max.

I loved the Clifton 8, and bought multiple colors. The Clifton 8 was the best shoe, and had high hopes for the Clifton 9. Unfortunately, my experience with the Clifton 9 was a disappointment. After wearing the Clifton 9, my feet were so sore, especially my heels. I never had ore feet with the Clifton 8.

Super comfy but the shoes have began to scuff and some of the decals have started to fall off. As well as the the souls have began to lift.

I am an endurance runner. I've run countless marathons and Ironman events in the Clifton. I've been running in the Clifton since the beginning of Clifton time. Every update they've done I have trusted and been happy with, until the 9. My biggest complaint, which has actually become a real problem, is the tongue. From the very first run, I kept having to stop to try and adjust the tongue because the inner edge of it was pressing up against my foot, causing it to be sore. I tried loosening the laces, different types of ties, everything. I ran a marathon in them, knowing good and well I should've worn an old pair of 8's and here I am, two months later, limping around because that sore spot from the tongue has actually become an "injury". I'm truly so disappointed. These shoes were my go to. I've tried lots and lots of different brands of running shoes and none of them have ticked all the boxes like the Clifton has. As the old saying goes "if it ain't broke".

So disappointed. Loved my Hoka Clifton 7 and 8’s. This redesign is very uncomfortable. Not nearly as much cushion and the lacing cut in to the top of my foot. My normal size felt huge and my heel slipped way too much. Sent them back and now have to find a new shoe after four years of walking on clouds. Why did they change a design that was so good. Very disheartening.

I wanted to love these because they came so highly recommended for my bunions and flat feet. There’s definitely plenty of room in the toe area but the lack of arch support has my foot loping over and after a week of wear I’m not looking forward to putting them on.

I have 2 pairs of the Clifton 8s and LOVE them. I wear them everyday. I have feet that are a tad wide but not wide enough to need a wide shoe. The regular width 8s fit me great. I went to a local sporting goods store and bought my normal size in the new 9s......and bad move on my part, did not try them on. They immediately hurt my feet. I walked a few miles in them hoping they'd break in but no luck. They are too narrow and hurt the top part of my foot. I'm hoping if I try the wide version, they'll work because I love these shoes!

These are so hard and no arch support. My Sketchers are way better for 1/3 the price.
