The Clifton 9 is nothing like the previous Clifton models. Horribly uncomfortable! If you are a Clifton 7 or 8 fan, this shoe is not for you. Do not buy it! I am SO DISAPPOINTED! Why the company would so drastically alter a proven product is beyond me. I tried it on at the shop and spent 30 minutes walking in it and could not believe the change in the shoe. I did not buy it. I then ordered new pairs of the Clifton 8 that I found online.

I was so excited for the Clifton 9, since I needed a new pair of shoes & I've been so happy with the Clifton 8. I wore the 9 inside my home for a day and my feet hurt throughout. Toe box feels too narrow and the overall fit is uncomfortable. I've considered trialing the wide width, but they don't come in the black midsole at this time (I think the darker midsole looks newer for longer than white). I've returned the pair of Clifton 9 for refund, and actually stocked up on a few new pairs of Clifton 8. Hoping Hoka will redesign the shoe in 2024 and as other reviewers stated, "Go back to their roots", "Because if it ain't broke, don't try to fix it!"

The best walking shoe that I've found anywhere! At 81 yrs old I try to walk 2 miles per day. These shoes are great. My feet never bother me. I forget I e Ben have the shoes on.

The Clifton 8 was my first Hoka shoe. I tried numerous designs in the Hoka brand and settled on the Clifton 8. It was comfortable and a great fit for walking and everyday wear. I was excited when the Clifton 9 came out due to the new colors. The Clifton 9 is a horrendous redesign and fit for the following reasons. 1. The tongue of the shoe is way too long and comes up the front of my leg. 2. The sides of the shoe were designed taller so they now hit and rub against my ankle bones on the inside and outside of my foot. It hurts! 3. The foot bed was designed to be alot more narrow, especially in the ball of the foot and toe area. 4. The shoes height from the inside of the shoe where your foot sits, to the top of the shoe is shorter and runbs against the top of your foot. 5. The foot bed is harder. A LOT HARDER!!! The Clifton 9 It is extremely uncomfortable!!! It hurts to physically wear the Clifton 9 and no longer represents the Clifton model. The redesign is so drastic that Hoka created a new model and appears to have done away with the Clifton. Clifton 8 was an amazing shoe! Why did Hoka ruin the Clifton series shoe? Was it to save a few pennies?

The size is on point. I have a wide foot, but didn't need to size up, just needed the wide. Walking in these is way more comfortable than my ASICS that is my go to. My only "complaint" was my feet did hurt after standing in them all day. I hope that it was me just getting use to the shoe. Overall the walk put a spring in my step, it like walking on marshmallows!

Bought these shoes for neuropathy and work. Very slick soles and something in my pair has rubbed a calous on my foot. Very painful.

The Clifton 9 I thought was my great find until after two weeks of wearing them. They gave me the cushion I needed, but for som reason the heel support wasn't right and as the two weeks wore on my heels began feeling 'bruised'. I appreciate that Hoka provides a 30 day guarantee. I got my money back. Thank you!

I have tried so many shoes, my feet would always hurt. Even with the ones that are soft. Hoka shoe give me the perfect support with the softness that makes my feet make a 12 hour shift without pain.

Comfort

I cannot believe I waited so long to buy Hokas. For years I have struggled with pain in my feet. I have Hallux Limitus in my right foot and periodic pain in other parts of my feet. I would say that wearing these at work (school nurse) and to run (I bought a second pair for this) have decreased the pain in my feet by at least 75%. LOVE these shoes

We ordered these for our trip to Egypt and let me tell you !! These are by far THE BEST sneakers I have used for walking or just because. It makes me feel like I'm walking in . I love them and the quality is even better!! These are definitely my go to ! I have to say they sneakers run a little big but not to much not sure if I would've went down to 9 1/2 or just keep the 10 . I actually like the little extra room you have at the top.

I am a public safety officer I carry 25 lbs of gear. I do a lot of walking and standing. The Clifton 9 have given me some good relief.

Super comfy! Did size down a half size from what I usually wear, but no problems whatsoever

True to size, lightweight, super comfy and very stylish! The only complaint I have is when you slip your shoe off, sometimes the sole inserts almost come out, wrinkle in half and you have to push them back down when putting the shoe on again. I'm going to use an Elmer's glue stick lol should do the trick! Highly recommend

I am an RN, on my feet 12-15 hours per shift. They have elevated my back and hip pain!! I'm so GRATEFUL!@
