I normally wear the Bondis but they were out in my size in black so I tried these. I have narrow heels and am wide across the toes(like a duck lol). These fit just fine but compared to the Bondi they felt like they had absolutely no cushion. They actually felt like my old old sneakers when I was ready to toss them. Not for me. I’ll find Bondi’s someplace instead. I also thought they were kind of clunky and ugly in person.
I'd also recommend:

It seemed that it has a wider toe box. But it has not. It is wider the bunion line and then it get really narrow on toe line.

Unfortunately they are too narrow and are not offered in Wide so returning. Hoping Hoka will start offering wide selections.

Several friends recommended HOKA shoes, so I thought I would give them a try. I'm on my feet all day at work, so a comfortable shoe is really important. However, these seem to hurt the arches of my feet. I have an average arch, so I'm not sure what is causing the pain. The shoes are lightweight and have plenty of toe room.

Liked the Rocker Sole but there was a spot on the inside of the right shoe that bothered my foot. The shoes were a little wide on me and no arch support. Unfortunately I will be returning the shoes.

I bought for comfort. They are well padded I feel like I am being pushed forward in them.
I need more time to figure out how I feel. Irewlly want to love them as so many do.

I've only worn these once, out for a short run. I've been wearing Cliftons for a few years but this is my first try with the new model. Cushioning was good, everything felt good, except that the tongue is much bigger than on the 8 and it rubs my ankle bone. I know we're all shaped differently and it's impossible to account for everyone's foot but the last model (with the controversial attached tongue) worked better for me. Still--I can't run in any other shoe now because the cushioning is awesome so I am actually going to buy quarter length running socks to accommodate the shoes. Inconvenient but probably worth it in the end. I do wish shoe companies in general would stop with the insane, constant "redesigns" that end up pleasing no one.

I am a Clifton tried and true! I have regular foot pain but my Hokas allow me to keep up with race training. This is my first time trying the Clifton 9 though and they were huge. I always size down a half size, but I needed a full size. The toe area was roomier than the 8, too, and I felt like I was wearing clown shoes. The design and colors were great, but I returned the 9 and bought two more pairs of Clifton 8s while they’re on sale!

I have always worn a size 7 in Hokas. These 7's are a little too long.

The shoes look great, color and design...but to my surprise, I did not find them to be comfortable. The heel felt lower than my midfoot, which I did not like. Also the sides of the soles felt lumpy and dug into my feet. I returned them. Hokas are not necessarily the most comfortable shoe for everyone.

The first day I wore these I loved them I thought they were so comfortable.
Then I wore them yesterday (all day) at work on my feet :-(
they irritated my morton's neuroma terribly.

I wanted to love these. However, they are big and clunky and look like they are for a 95 year old. They run large and will make your feet look huge. I had to return them.

All I have heard is how wonderful these shoes are to wear for long periods of time. I have small feet (6.5 woman) with high arches. I was hoping for more arch support. I have only worn them a few times but so far my feet burn and ache when I have worn them. I'm hoping that will change because I bought these because of how highly they were recommended by everyone I talked to that wears them.

The shoe hit too high in my ankles. I also felt very clumsy while walking. Believe the arch was too high for me. Hoka is a great shoe, just was not right for me. I have several friends who wear Hoka, and that is why I tried them. Return policy was so easy. Any contact over the phone was very helpful

Not NEARLY as comfortable as the Clifton 8. The size and width are fine, but the material is definitely different and is scratchy and uncomfortable. Maybe with the popularity of Hoka these days they have cheapened the cost to produce by using inferior materials?
All I know is, I have 4 pairs of the Clifton 8's that I absolutely L-O-V-E have worn to pieces and will buy a couple more while they're still available and hope they last me until a better version comes out!

I don't walk through mud puddles in my shoes. It is only day-to-day grime so a simple, gentle wash should have done it. It didn't. My shoes still look grimy. I wouldn't buy them again.

Fit well in the front. There was room for orthotics. The heel was wide and loose.

I looked forward to these shoes. The variety of olors in my size was far more variety than I get with other shoe companies. However, they don't provide the stability and support I need for my plantar facetious. Good shoes unless you need support.

They are light weight but not enough support. The sole seems to high. I like the Clifton 8's. They have a lower sole and seem better for walking.
