I tried these on in the stores and they felt good. I had to order them online due to my need for wides and also the wider selection of colors. They feel stiff and not "cushioned" well? They don't feel the same as the ones I tried on at Dick's Sporting Goods. I will probably try the Asics Gel Nymbus 25 next. I will most likely not purchase another pair of Hoka's.

I surprisingly needed a wide in this shoe, I normally wear a regular size 10. However, buying the wide, because I need the room in the toe box, the heal area is too loose. Other than that issue it's a very comfortable shoe, just wish it wouldn't slide off my heal, and I can't just tie it tighter because I have neuropathy and that just makes my feet go numb.

I normally wear a size 9 shoe except in some running shoes I purchase them in size 8 1/2 wide with little to no space at the toe to prevent any movement of my foot. These were huge, at least a half size bigger than the 8 1/2 wide size that I purchased. Hoping they are available in an 8W!

These are my third pair of Hoka shoes. The very first Hokas I bought were Clifton 8. These are not as soft and comfortable. They are just ok. I won't purchase the Clifton 9 again. I don't know what is different exactly but my feet are now sore by the end of the day and my legs are fatigued. This isn't the case with the other Hokas I have.

When trying in the shoes in store, I was hooked. They were super comfortable and great for my line of work. Decided to order online with HOKA rather than in the store due to limited color choices. HOKA's website had the color I wanted. I ordered the correct size and was super excited to get them, but when I received them the size was incorrect. I called customer service and they stated they were out of stock in my size, so they decided to send me another size. I'm not sure why they would send a bigger size instead of a call, text or email stating they were out of stock before sending something I could not use. Sent back for refund and found out the style and color I needed has no back order date. Ugh.

I purchased the Clifton 9 shoes in wide.
They are tight and don't really have the arch support I need. Also they are very cushy feeling and tend to feel off balance when wearing them for playing pickleball.... quick pivoting and quick start and stopping can be a problem.

The shoe has changed from previous years. It does not have the support in the arch, and it makes your toe turn in, not even step.

A women's Clifton 9 was sent to me rather than a man's. I gave them to my partner who enjoys them. Do not know how the mistake occurred but worth investigating. However, I love Hokas and have a number of them. JLR

I work in the healthcare field so as someone who spends the majority of their time walking rather than sitting I would not buy this pair of shoes again. I have flat feet (minimal to no arch), wide feet, and I wear professional orthotic inserts - putting those inside these shoes and wearing them to work has unfortunately been painful and disappointing. I wanna say this is about my eighth pair of Hoka shoes but the first time I've been truly disappointed in a purchase of them. With this pair of Hokas three different sore spots developed on my feet and as much as they were and hopeful as I was about purchasing them I was sad and I haven't been wearing them at all anymore. I would have returned them had I not already worn them out and about to work. Overall the sizing just wasn't accurate for me.

Needed all black shoes for work. Went with Clifton 9, black on black. NOT. These shoes have a lot of gray in them, online color is very deceiving and they shouldn't state they are black on black.

I feel like my weight shifts to my heels and my knees flex to compensate so these aren't my fave. I know about a dozen people who swear by these so I have no ill feeling towards the shoe, I just need a shoe with different support.

I loved the feel of this shoe in the store. Like walking on clouds with a little propulsion from the slight curve in the sole. But sadly my first day wearing them I discovered that the opening around the ankle is abnormally high and created painful pressure on my ankle bone. I am hoping my ankle will get used to this, but I am disappointed that this might make these unwearable on a regular basis.

It was recommended by my podiatrist after my neuroma surgery. I tried for two weeks but they were not comfortable. Front was too narrow for my toes and they were too soft even with my orthotics. My knees were hurting.
It was too bad they didn't work out for me.

I have owned Clifton 5's for many years and this one is just not as comfortable starting out. I use for walking and I have been walking inside to decide if I am keeping them.

I ordered a 9 because that was the correct size according to your measurement chart.. A 9 average width in the Clinton in to large. The 8.5 in the Bondi feels snug and I need a 8.5 wide in the Arahi. Also, I was told that I would receive an email with my return information and I have not. Guess I will return and try to find a pair locally.

I'm a long time shopper of Brooks brand shoes with numerous pairs and my favorite being the Glycerin. I've seen Hoka everywhere and heard good things about them from co-workers. I decided to try these in store but the store did not have my size in the black. In the store, the Clifton 9 felt great with so much cushion in the heels where I put so much of my weight. I ordered the black pair from the website, hoping to use them on vacation for a lot of walking and they arrived on time but I unexpectedly had to leave a day earlier than anticipated so did not get to wear them until I got back 2.5 weeks later. I have worn the shoes to work and around my neighborhood. The foam feels very cushiony on my feet but my gripe is that my ankles feel wobbly in them. My co-worker even commented that she could see my ankles moving in and out when I walk. I am past the 30 days trial so I will keep them but I am leaning towards purchasing another brand next time I want new shoes. I did wear them for rowing and as a result my left knee had some discomfort the next day so I will not use for rowing again.

The Clifton 9 is lighter, but the fit seems off - the arch isn't where it is supposed to be. My 8s were perfect right out of the box. These feel like they are doing too much in the sole. The black shoe looks nice, but the giant bronze HOKA is a little in your face for a jeans day at the office.

The left shoe was perfect but something was wrong with the right shoe, making my foot roll inward with every step. (Normally not a problem for me.)

I feel like the 2 pairs I just received fit differently than my Hokas in the past. I LOVE Hokas usually but the last 2 pairs make my feet feel like the arch is being pushed inward. They fit totally different.

Comfort is ok. It's definitely not the Bondi 7 for sure. Wish you would bring back that shoe. Most comfortable shoes I've ever owned.
