I have run in Clifton 8 shoes for two years now and they discontinued. The 9's toe box is completely different.

I purchased this for an elderly aunt. It was too large and cumbersome. Even though it was a womans it looked like men's footwear.

Took unworn pair of Hoka to my podiatrist's office for follow up visit/exam. The doctor thinks I need a size larger than I purchased. How do I exchange them for the next size up? She felt I needed more room for socks. I am not an athlete and probably would not wear a think sock. What do you think. I have a 9.5 pair.

Like the look of the show - and like the rocker bottom but the toe box was more narrow than my previous Hoka Mach 5

I have a high arch and these mess with the circulation in my left foot after a few hours; not good for lots of walking.

I didn't like the way the Clifton 9 has evolved. I have 2 pairs of Clifton.. believe 6&7. The 9 has a protrusion on back of ankle that was annoying to me. I would recommend ALL Hoka shoes, but one has to know their choice is right for them!

I didn't care for the "hook" on back of clifton9, so I exchanged the shoes for Gaviota. I like the style better. I have 2 other Clifton shoes a 6 and 7, which are my favorite styles. No hook on the ankle!

I expected clouds. For the price, not any more comfortable than OnCloud.

I chose this brand because the orthopedist recommended them. I thought they were overpriced but figured it could not hurt to try. They are very light. Compared to my Reebok's they weigh nothing. But every time I take them off I have shooting pains in my foot.

I have a wide foot and ordered a wide. The back of the shoe is way too wide and slips up and down. Also after wearing all day the side of my feet hurt. So these aren't for me.

Not as comfortable as previous Clifton 9, unfortunately I will be returning them, toe box is narrow and the back of the shoe feels too low on the heel

I purchased at the Nov. 2023 & received after Thanksgivings. The shoe is light weight. The rebound for my toes is great. The Clifton 9 blk/blk 7.5 wide is true to size. However, the heel area is not as comfortable as I needed balance shoe from heel to toe. I walk on concrete for 8-10 hours per day. This was one of the HOKA shoe finder suggested shoes for walking on concrete. I am looking for a shoe that is comfortable, take a pounding on concrete and rebounds from heel to toe with the insole surrounded by plush.

After all the great reviews I had high hopes but the shoe did not have the cushioning or the fit I need. My previous Hokas had a wide toe bed & these did not have the same. The roominess just wasn't there. Unfortunately I had to return them, but the customer service was awesome.

I have worn the Clifton's for five years and loved them! The Clifton 9 rubs in the heel, perhaps because the tab at the back is much thicker and stiff. They are just not the same fit at all. I returned them. Really sad as these helped my foot issues, and I lived in them. Walked all over Europe in my previous Clifton's, but the 9, no way.

I liked the Clifton 8 a lot. The Clifton 9 is too narrow in the toe area for my comfort.
I'd also recommend:

I've heard a lot of good things about the tennis shoes but after wearing them for 3 weeks I'm not that impressed with them. Could have spent a little less angst the same quality of shoe.

They are not as comfortable as I was expecting. This is my second pair of HOKA's the first pair was comfortable and didn't have any pressure points these have pressure points and hurt my feet after a couple hours on my feet. Do not appear to have enough cushion in the heels and hurts my arch. After a while even hurt the top of my feet.

Hello, I purchased my new Hokas in September of this year and I just noticed bottom of my shoe is falling off! :( I really am not too happy since these are my favorite shoes. I have heard many people can wear these for years and not have any problems. I am upset and I have photos to show proof too.

I am giving this tennis shoe a three star only because the choices are very limited in a wide for female. If there is a wide available it is only in black or pastel's. My orthotics fit in nicely and the shoe gives me the support I need.

Unlike my three previous pairs of Hola, which I love, these were not comfortable and felt heavy.

These are not as comfortable as I thought they would be. This is my 4 th pair. I expected more arch support and cushion. They also pull my socks down and I have to stop to pull socks up. I walked miles in them over the holiday. I'll go back to my Biondi.
