This is my second pair of Cliftons. I absolutely loved the first pair. This new pair is ok but something is different that causes my socks to bunch up in them. The fit feels good and I love the colors but something is off. I can't put my finger on how exactly they are different but the sock issue is significant. I can't wear them with one of the brands of socks I have at all since they bunch up within the first few minutes. Another brand I wear, works a little better. I bought all new pairs of socks in that brand and they seem to be working ok so far. Still not perfect but tolerable.

Got my first pair of Cliftons several years ago and loved them. Ordered my second pair of Cliftons in black. They felt and appeared smaller in general but I persevered and wore them anyway. I developed a callous alongside the bones of my big toe. Learned to live with it till recently. I ordered a different model, Gaviota, in my size. They were huge in feel and appearance, so I returned them. I now have a pair of Clifton 9, that I went up 1/2 a size to compensate for the smallness of the Clifton 8s. This new pair, which I am returning, is too long. The internal width is ample. The outward appearance is very wide. I will be re-ordering a size 8, hoping for the fit and comfort of my very first pair of Cliftons.

A little disappointed, thought the footbed would have more padding. This was my first purchase of Hoka. Was not really impressed with the comfort.

I was looking for a cushioning long run trainer and this may work for others, but the fit and cushion was not enough for my knees. I really wanted to like it and did a few long runs to adjust. Sadly, it's not my kind of running shoe.

I don't think I would repurchase the Clifton 9's. The shoe is a tad tight for a wide and squeaks like heck in the stores. I tried different ways to walk in the shoes and the squeaking was so noticeable I felt like taking them off. I have another pair I purchased a year ago with no problems. I feel the quality isn't up to the Hoka's standard.

I am a 100 pound HS cross country runner and I only ran in these shoes for less than 2 months for training runs. The bottom of them fell apart. These shoes are comfortable but are not very durable.

These were really comfortable and I wanted to love them but after going on a could have walks in them they started to hurt my arches. They were good for shorter bouts but after about 2 miles, they started hurting.

Been wearing Clifton 8 for the past 2-3 years and ordered the same size in Clifton 9. The sizing is very different than Clifton 8. I exchanged the Clifton 9 for a smaller size and it is too large also. I would like to return this pair and return to my Clifton 8.

I read an article that these and the Bondi would be right for the problems I have with my feet. These feel VERY different from the Bondi. Clifton is not the right choice if you are needing a lot of support from the rocker bottom. Clifton has less arch support and overall feels wider to me ( I wear 12M). I would choose Brooks Ghost over these.

I've owned several Clifton's and went from the 8 to 9s and they look like clown shoes. These are so wide it is insane. I ended up ordering the 8s again because I feel silly wearing the 9s.

Everyone's feet are different so take this for what it is. I heard all the hype about them and wanted to try. I have worn them three times now and they just don't work for me. The tong bruises my ankle barely any arch support. I went back to my brooks.

I was wearing On Cloud and they were very comfortable as a pharmacist standing all day. They were not durable, though. I was purchasing a new shoe every 90 days. I tried the Hoka because my mother recommended them to me. My feet are hurting as bad as when I was wearing my broke-down On Clouds.

The Clifton seems too big and uncomfortable. I will be ordering the Arahi style which fits me perfectly. I’m a big fan!!!

They were very uncomfortable for me. Felt super heavy, I tried running with them and my knees started to hurt so they are being returned.

I'm a Bondi 8 fan. These Cliftons were amazingly lightweight, but very stiff. Minimal cushioning. It felt like I was wearing the box instead of the shoe. If you liked New Balance, back in the day, you might want to try these.

I like the shoe but it runs large and my feet are floating around which lessens the support I was wanting

I usually wear a 9.5 but sized up to a 10. The sizing was good with enough room around my toes. The left shoe fit great, but for some reason the tongue of the right shoe and the inner edge both dug into my ankle. No amount of readjusting could get it to feel comfortable.

I had to go up a 1/2 size as the 1st pair was too tight in the toe even though I have normal to narrow feet. Niw it is slightlyntoo big. It also hits right at the ankle, so they are not really comfortable where it rubs. For the price, I would not recommend these shoes.

Not as comfortable as I had hoped. Tongue of sneaker presses on top of my foot. Thought these would be 100% better than cheap sneakers like Sketchers

I loved these shoes when I first bought them, I've worn them just about everyday since I bought them to the gym (which hasn't been long) and one day while I was about to put them on i noticed that the bottom of my shoe was coming off(the little triangle parts under the shoe) super sad about that because they're so comfortable and now I can't wear them:/

I chose the Hoka website because of the waived $20 expedited shipping offer. Despite the promise of "free expedited shipping," it took eight days for the product to reach me. I understand the processing time before shipment, UPS notification alerted me it was shipped on October 21, but I did not receive the package until October 25. Five days does not align with my understanding of expedited shipping. I chose to make this purchase expecting to receive the item promptly, and the extended delivery time has impacted my overall satisfaction with the transaction. Since the sneakers did not reach me in time, I must deal with returning them. (I had to go out and buy them in a brick & mortar). Customer service offered no solution. I would've appreciated a comparable percentage being taken off the purchase price.
The shoe itself is as expected. I ordered a wide shoe, but the normal width fits better even with my wide foot.

I absolutely loved the comfort but am disappointed in the quality. The tread is coming unglued after only a few months. I do a lot of walking and am hard on my sneakers but for the price they should not fall apart like this.

Hoka changed so much of the Clifton Shoe, I don't feel like it was so the better. I have been wearing Hoka's for probably 6 years and these are the first pair I am returning because I don't like how the shoe feels when I am walking. The overall feel around my foot is good. When I walk It feels like the sole is harder and there isn't as much padding under the toes.

Right now I’m wearing them in the house because they’re not hitting my foot right. I’m dealing with bunions and hammer toes and having a terrible time finding a shoe that doesn’t hurt. I might have to return after the next walk around.
