As a fan of the Cliftonfor over the last 2-3 years, I'm very disappointed in the Clifton 9 redesign. I'm not sure how a shoe can be too big and too small at the same time. The design has completely changed, making the shoe fabric pucker on the top of my foot when tied. It's also shorter than the Clifton 8, to the point where my custom insoles no longer fit in the shoe. Also, the longer tongue hits my ankle bone which is uncomfortable and painful. It's frustrating when you have a shoe you love, but need to start the journey all over again to find a replacement. Why redesign a shoe that was alreadygreat?!

I have two pairs of these in different colors. I have no more pain in my ankles when walking!

I like the cushion in the heal but They are a lot wider than I imagined. I feel like I am wearing clown shoes a bit. BUT as long as they help me stand at work with less back pain I will be happy. Will let you know!

My podiatrist recommended this sneaker, so I tried it. I was really surprised by how comfortable it is to wear, and makes walking more fun!

I have always struggled to find shoes that were comfortable for alit if walking and finally decided to invest in Hoka. These are very comfortable and don't look too bulky. Definitely recommend!

I love these shoes. They are light weight. Easy to put on, the heal goes on easy. I feel a bounce in my step when I wear them. I like the way they look also.

Ive size down 1/2 size and it fits better on my narrow foot. It's very plushy so I'm still getting used to them but you can feel the difference in your step. I only wished I bought a darker color they get dirty so easily

I've been looking at HOKA shoes for about 2 weeks and talking to people that I know that have bought them and loved them, so I took the plunge and bought the Clifton 9. There are good things about the shoe, very light, fit really well and seemed to make my heel spur feel better. The reason for the return is they creak and squeak so loudly! Didn't matter what type of floor I was walking on, they make so much noise. Even not walking if I move my foot from heel to toe, they squeak! I'm hoping I just received a wonky pair. I'll return these and try again and hopefully the next pair I get won't make so much noise.

Had to return Clifton 9's, arch support too hard and uncomfortable. Switched to Mach 5 and they are perfect. I am a serious walker, not a runner.

Wearing these shoes for the first time was a little mind blowing. I'd never experienced such comfort, mixed with such support, in a shoe. I mainly use these for walks/hikes, anywhere from 1.5miles to just under 7 miles long, on steep hills or stairs with my dog and casual wear. I have a hip injury, high arches and wobbly, slightly over-flexible joints so running has never been my go-to for exercise aside from in the military (if only I had these then, it may have saved me from some current pains). These things make me even more excited about my hikes than I ever knew I could be. The slight rocker effect of the shoes helps me use my feet and legs more efficiently, which, in turn, also makes me get a better workout because proper flow of energy thru the muscles is what leads to the most toning effect. I get more of the good pain and less of the bad pain. They feel super lightweight considering the size from all the padding. Haven't noticed anything weird around my angle area or any uncomfortable rubbing and so far no blisters. Also, I had really bad luck with FedEx regarding my order and so I know that Hoka Customer service is as good as it gets. Just a bunch of sweethearts who treat you like a person and care about your experience and believe in the brand for which they work.

These shoes are really comfortable and the color is awesome! Great for walking!

These shoes are so comfortable - they feel like I'm walking on a cloud every time I wear them! As a nurse, comfort is probably most important to me when it comes to picking shoes for work, and these check all the boxes.

Look great, very cushioned!

Absolutely love the Clifton 9 would've put a 5 star but the heel is a bit too wide for me. The comfort and stability of the Clifton 9 is unmatched, it's an absolute lifestyle shoe that's great for lower back, knees and hip problems. Currently have 2 pairs PLEASE Hoka PLEASE make the women's in the Midnight Ocean color scheme the men's version has, I'd be the first person to purchase them!!!

I purchased the shoes for exercise. I always buy a size up in walking shoes but these 8 1/2 are just too big so if I purchase again I would buy an 8. I would return for a 8 but I have worn them twice, I thought that they would work but after the second walk I realized that they were just too big.

I love this shoe. It is light and definitely not as bulky as other styles. I got them in pink and blue and loved them so much that I bought a black pair for future use!

Extremely comfortable, could wear them every day. Love the color
