Once I learned that these run a 1/2 size smaller my feet are so comfortable - I'm usually a size 8.5 but with the Cliftons I'm an 8 - hard to say "True to size when it's a size smaller than I wear but they don't give that option in the sizing response

Love the HOKA brand!!! HOKA's are the only brand of athletic shoes I wear. I have flat arch/feet and other foot, knee issues and HOKA's are the only athletic shoes that feel great on my foot and give me the support that I need. Love my HOKA's, glad I found and started wearing them!!!

I bought these for my daughter who is a server/floor manager at a bar/restaurant. She is on her feet for her whole shift. She has tried many other brands but said the Hokas were the best.

Love how these Hoka's feel. Perfect for speed walking. Very comfortable.

I have been wearing Cliftons for several years now. I received the Clifton 9's and they have changed. I need a wide toe box and it the toe box is now more stiff and seems narrow. The whole shoe seems stiffer. I wish the old design would come back. I am very sad. I had to send them back. They hurt my foot.

I was loyal to another brand but my workouts have progressed past the comfort they could provide. Hoka has allowed me to continue the forward progress. Thank You!

To walk the dog, to go to the stores and Pilates and to walk in the house. A podiatrist told me to buy HOKA. He told me that I have a high arch and I purchased an insert from him. He told me to add it to the HOKA shoe which I did. My original problem was that I do not have enough padding on the toes and ball or the foot areas. These shoes do not help my problem. These parts of my feet still hurt and get inflamed when I wear the Hokas for more than 2 hours.

I'm hard on my shoes and when I need to replace them, Hoka is my go-to brand. These are the best for comfort I can find, considering I have extremely flat feet; so flat, I still have to add an insert. I gave 4 stars, rather than 5, because they have such a huge "footprint." (No pun intended.) I feel like my feet appear to be larger than life. They are worth it, however, and I do like the more neutral colors Hoka has come up with.

I wanted to like these shoes, but the first day I wore them I got a sharp pain in the side of my foot. I rested it and wore my other shoes the rest of the week. The next week I tried to wear my Hokas again and within an hour I had to take them off. Sorry, these are not the shoes for me.

This shoe is my favorite. It's light weight and true to size. Will definitely buy again!!

I would probably give this a five rating, if I had the right size in. I have never bought wide shoes before, but in this shoe, I could probably use a wide.

I've been running in the Clifton as my easy run/long run shoe for awhile now and always enjoyed how it was the perfect sweet spot of cushion/comfort/low weight. I was a little hesitant about the new updated 9 but I think most people wont notice a huge amount of difference. Still a really great shoe just feels a more stiff/less spongy. I did follow the recommendation to size up a half size and I was glad I did so if you are on the fence there I would.

Instead of putting on slippers in the morning, I just put these on. Still in my pj's, doing the morning routine, in my Cliftons. Lol I gave them 4 stars because, while I chose the color I liked the most of what was available, I do wish some classic colors were available. These blues are a little loud for me. A navy would be lovely.

I am on my feet all the time at work. I was having such horrible knee issues. Hokus were recommended by a co worker. I got them, my knees are great!!! It's amazing!

I purchased the Clifton 9 shoes in wide. They are tight and don't really have the arch support I need. Also they are very cushy feeling and tend to feel off balance when wearing them for playing pickleball.... quick pivoting and quick start and stopping can be a problem.

The first time I put these shoes on I didn't want to take them off! They are so comfortable. I have problems with my feet and can not find shoes that are comfortable. These shoes fit the book. I highly recommend these for everyone, there is no break in to deal with. They are the best shoes I have ever worn!

No matter how I lace up or what kind of socks I wear, my heel slips. I've only worn them for 4 runs but they just don't feel as secure as my Brooks.

I love the Clifton 8 they are a perfect shoe all round. I read the reviews and everyone said they run narrow so I ordered the wide, Perfect! But the Clifton 9 is very different fit and look. So I went to a store and tried on the regular width and they run narrow. So, Clifton 9's just won't work.

I love them! Now that I have them I'm seeing lots of people wearing them.

I suffer from sciatica and arthritis in my back. The relief has been immediately after wearing my Hoka's. I am able to wear all day.

I like the ease of putting on the shoe, the cushioning, the color, the snug fit at ankle. I wish the toe box was a bit wider; my toes curl - but that is probably unique to my foot. (Podiatrist recommended wide toe box.)
