My pediatrist suggested these and new balance new form sneakers. I wore them a handful of times but my feet hurt every time after I wore them. The new balance sneakers were much more comfortable.

I wear for walking and running on sidewalks, asphalt, and dirt trails. Feels like a cushy, supportive cloud with no pain.

Hands down my best workout shoe by far. I have a hard time finding wide shoes for myself with the comfort and I ordered the Clifton 9 in a 9 wide and I love the comfort it brings to my feet. I was searching for a more comfortable shoes as I started to develop what felt like painful shin splits and that's what lead me to Hokas. Since I've used them I am pain free while working out, walking and running. I recommend a pair to anyone I know who could use a comfortable shoe and to anyone who ask me how I'm liking them. They are the best!

I have been purchasing the Clifton for years. I have the 7 and a couple pair of the 8's. I wanted a pair of the new style 9. After receiving, I found this new version to be much higher on the sides and back. The inside was up to my ankle and cut into the bone. The cushioning is comparable and wish the rest had stayed the same. Unfortunately I had to return them.

I am an endurance runner. I've run countless marathons and Ironman events in the Clifton. I've been running in the Clifton since the beginning of Clifton time. Every update they've done I have trusted and been happy with, until the 9. My biggest complaint, which has actually become a real problem, is the tongue. From the very first run, I kept having to stop to try and adjust the tongue because the inner edge of it was pressing up against my foot, causing it to be sore. I tried loosening the laces, different types of ties, everything. I ran a marathon in them, knowing good and well I should've worn an old pair of 8's and here I am, two months later, limping around because that sore spot from the tongue has actually become an "injury". I'm truly so disappointed. These shoes were my go to. I've tried lots and lots of different brands of running shoes and none of them have ticked all the boxes like the Clifton has. As the old saying goes "if it ain't broke".

After purchasing my first pair of Cliftons, I decided to purchase a pair for a family member. She's thrilled with her shoes; many of the doctors and techs at the animal hospital where she is employed wear Hoka shoes.

These shoes are very comfy and give me a good "bounce" in my step. I would recommend for someone who has to walk a lot for their work or walks for exercise. They also slip on very easily!

I am not a runner but I walk three to four miles a day. Inside heel padding is already worn through. These shoes also make my feet filthy. The mesh might be good for airflow but the dirt is ridiculous. Sidewalk or road use only. Too bad as I need a semi rocker and my Hallux Limitus likes these shoes.

I'm so happy with these shoes. They are plush and comfortable yet still responsive.

I use this for running on the treadmill and it helped alot with my calve pain. I couldn't run due to the pain and now i can run at a speed of 6.9

The wide pinch my toes and not as cushiony as the Clifton 8's .
