Toe box is smaller than Clifton 8. Support and cushion balance are about the same. They are not 100% similar though, most notably the toe box is not the same.

I like how there is a wide area for the toes. It also has a cushy soul that feels like you are walking on a soft carpet, yet seems to have a good support. I don't like the high piece that comes up on the back of the heel. I don't see any purpose for that, and it looks kind of funny. But I am keeping the shoes, they are comfortable.

Good arch support, comfortable. Helped ease pain of plantar fasciitis.

These shoe helps my back and knees, i was having swelling in my left knee an now the swelling and pain is gone. These shoes is highly recommended to people thats having back and knee problems.

I found the Clifton 9s to be very uncomfortable. I wore them for one day and had to return them. My feet were killing me.

I loved the Clifton 8, and bought multiple colors. The Clifton 8 was the best shoe, and had high hopes for the Clifton 9. Unfortunately, my experience with the Clifton 9 was a disappointment. After wearing the Clifton 9, my feet were so sore, especially my heels. I never had ore feet with the Clifton 8.

Love the flexibility and comfort

I am pleased with my new Hoa sneakers. It has a different feel that I am not used to but I am pleased that after lengthy walks my feet feel comfortable.

I use this product as my work shoes. I am a waitress and I wear them 5 days a week for my 6-8 hour shifts. They have been great in the area of comfort however they are not durable at all. They have already started to fall apart and it's only been a little over a month since I purchased them. Parts of bottom of the shoe are coming off in chunks and the sides of the rubber are no longer smooth and instead look like someone tried to shave them with a cheese grater. I wish these shoes were more durable because I would buy them again and again if they lasted longer. Overall for the price it's not worth it for me for a shoe that lasts 2 months max.

I had heard great things about these shoes. I have worn them for a week and they are horrible. My feet, back and hips hurt worse than ever with them. It feels like they have no support whatsoever. I wish I hadn't spent so much money on them.

I really love the support of these shoes. It's the reason I bought them I loved them so much, I bought two additional pairs of Hoka shoes.

not sure how I feel! I received D width and didn't realize it! Zi stopped wearing because they feel and look too wide! I wanted to love them but couldn't !

I used my HOKA for walking, and on trails. Love them

Super comfy but the shoes have began to scuff and some of the decals have started to fall off. As well as the the souls have began to lift.

These sneakers have made marathon training so much better- each run feels low impact on my knees whether I'm running 4 miles or 10. Very pleased with my purchase.

When I ordered the shoes, I did not realize I was ordering wide and I am definitely not a wide but I was getting ready to go on a vacation where I was going to be doing a lot of walking so I put some inserts in them and wore socks, and they worked out just fine.

I'm a nurse on my feet all day, are very comfortable.

Just bought my 2nd pair of Hoka & love them as much as the first! I bought the Clifton this time & they are very comfortable with essentially no break in period. The quality is excellent & they look great too.

Due to my plantar fasciitis,I live in my Hokas. While still preferring the Clifton 8, the Clifton 9 shoes are comfortable. They do run a little bigger in size than the Clifton 8s, so I recommend trying them on. I went with my normal size and found them too big. So I went down a half size with these and they work well.

I love to run and they are wonderful. Very airy and cushionary.

My Hokas are the best thing for my ankle arthritis and tendinitis.

I mainly wear my Hoka's to walk but the way they feel I know I would be just fine running in them as well! They are so comfortable and stable. I'm 29 and my arches started to fall when I was 18 so I've tried so many shoes to help with my arches and I have finally found the perfect shoe if you have the same problem as I do. If your on the edge, Just do it get you the most comfortable and versatile shoe!
