I bought this shoe along with the bondi style and returned both. I bought them for foot/back pain but they didn't help, actually made it worse. This shoe may work for you, but my feet and back did not like it at all.

They are not comfortable and instead of helping me, my foot hurt more and my bunion came out more. If I could I would return it.

Been wearing Cliftons for years due to feet issues and the Clifton comfort, but I just got my Clifton 9's, and they are a completely different shoe. I was actually wearing Clifton 8's when I tried on the 9's and all the padding is gone. There is pretty much nothing left. Which now just makes the Clifton pointless for me. I needed the padding. Why did you change it Hoka?

I really did not like these shoes-- they were so uncomfortable as I was walking and the way they fit my feet felt off, like the toes were way too big but the heel was small. The return process was great though!

It's big not comfortable and it's ugly. Sorry hoka

Love the idea of Hoka. This shoe made front of my foot feel floppy like a duck's bill. Bought on line so the style, model may not have been what my feet need.

i am an ER nurse and work long hours on my feet. i have been a hoka customer for years! i absolutely ADORE my clifton 8's but sadly, i have worn them out! my size was out of stock so my boyfriend purchased these for me for christmas and i HATE them. they are so uncomfortable. i come home from work and my feet hurt for hours. i wanted to immediately return (which i should have done) but i gave them a chance. i've worn them for 3 weeks and the pain in my feet is horrible. i contacted HOKA and will be returning them. DO NOT PURCHASE THESE SHOES. i never post reviews, but i could not discourage you anymore than to not buy these. sincerely, an ER nurse.

This is by far one of the worse running shoes I've ever tried on. Massive heel support and ZERO ankle support. You feel like you're going to fall out of them. My Ortho doc has NO IDEA how these are classified under "orthotics" absolutely not. Returning. Don't waste your money. Honestly shocked.

I have several Clifton 7 as i'm on my feet for 10+ hours a day and the support is excellent. Tried the Clifton 8 and it couldn't compare at all. Haven't tried the 9 as the soles do not look like the 7's. For anyone that must be on their feet all day(medical workers/retail/etc) the Clifton 7 should be brought back with no design changes at all.

I was looking for a comfy walking shoe, but the Hoka is like walking on a 2 inch platform heal sneaker. I felt uncomfortable walking without any feeling of touching the ground. Returned 2 pair I bought last week.

I would not recommend this product. I bought the Clifton 9's one month ago and the sole is already detaching on the toe. I have worn them less than 15 times. I have the Ahari's and have never had this problem. Very disappointing

The Clifton 7 were my favorite shoe and the fit and comfort was the reason I started wearing Hokas and started many of my family and friends wearing them. But each model since (Clifton 8 and Clifton 9) have increasingly become wider. Clifton 9 becoming so wide that I had to return them and can no longer wear the Cliftons.

I'm a Hoka girl, my girls are Hoka girls! Clifton's have been our shoes for years. We buy new Hoka's every other month due to our mileage. These Clifton 9's have something majorly wrong with them. The sizing is so off, we had to return and size down an entire size!!! Mid season of Track too! My daughters have never worn a size 7 but the 8's were so incredibly big, they couldn't even run in them. Something is way off with this new style. Completely disappointed in Hoka!

I was so excited to get my Hoka's, I had heard so many wonderful things about them. I need a great pair of walking shoes for an upcoming trip to Italy where I will be doing a significant amount of walking. So, I wanted to see how they would feel after a long day of walking before the big trip. I had them on for about 3 hours when the arch of my foot began aching. I couldn't wait to get home and take them off! This happened with all 3 pairs that I tried. I do not have an arch problem, I actually have a good arch, but these caused me a lot of discomfort. My husband LOVES his Hoka's, I'm really disappointed that they didn't work for me.

I was so excited for the Clifton 9, since I needed a new pair of shoes & I've been so happy with the Clifton 8. I wore the 9 inside my home for a day and my feet hurt throughout. Toe box feels too narrow and the overall fit is uncomfortable. I've considered trialing the wide width, but they don't come in the black midsole at this time (I think the darker midsole looks newer for longer than white). I've returned the pair of Clifton 9 for refund, and actually stocked up on a few new pairs of Clifton 8. Hoping Hoka will redesign the shoe in 2024 and as other reviewers stated, "Go back to their roots", "Because if it ain't broke, don't try to fix it!"

Very comfy

I like this shoe for running. The size, width and color all seemed perfect!
