Loved the shoes but they were too narrow. That is why I sent back the Men's 9 and went with the 9.5, but had the same issue; too narrow.

I was replacing the exact model and size of shoe and this was clearly a full size smaller. Must have been labeled wrong

I needed new hiking shoes for an upcoming trip. These are terribly narrow, and my feet are barely medium width. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize how horribly narrow and uncomfortable these were until I had worn them on a short hike. They squeeze in around the base of my pinky toes. I’ve tried them two more times and only last about a mile in them. Sick to have wasted a lot of money on these. Replaced with Brooks Cascadias that I fortunately found on sale. Also, my husband, who does have wide feet’s ordered the mens version in a 10W. They were so narrow he couldn’t get his foot in them. Should have known better after that. I suggest avoiding these.

I've had my HOKA Challenger shoes for less than a year and the soles are already falling apart. The outer grip lugs that HOKA says are for added durability are crumbling away. HOKA's response? \_()_/ sorry, too bad so sad. Not only are the shoes no where near the quality I'd expect from a "premium" brand that brags how durable their shoes are, but their customer service was terrible, never answering the phone, not answering simple questions over email, and outright refusing to help a customer find a satisfactory resolution.

Let me start off with the facts: I didn't buy these from this site. They were suggested by an authorized dealer, as I suffer from intermittent plantar fasciitis. I am overweight. Most shoes I buy around $40-50, because I go thru them quickly. However, my roommate/best buy decided to spoil me for my birthday. Sep. 21. I was stoked to finally see what it was like to wear a pair of shoes to play disc golf in that weren't as previously mentioned. Cheap and tear up easy. Only problem, after 3 weeks of light wear, they were ruined. The sole partially tore off and the shoe fabric split where the toe bends. I contacted the store I bought them from who directed me to Hoka. They are replacing them. Gave me a credit towards a replacement. I decided to upgrade a bit (I hope)and ordered the Speedgoat 5 GTX. Now, the main thing that bothered me was the time it took to get this sorted out. I had to contact the company after they surpassed the 5-10 business days. This is after I paid FedEx to send them to them and they were rec'd. After I contacted them, the exchange was expedited. Went thru on the 12th day. So now, we we're looking at over a month from 1st contact to when I could finally replace my shoes. Just to find out that it would take an additional 2 weeks to get my replacement. They really are comfy shoes and I will say, they stood behind their product. However, when someone is investing in something this expensive, do more than trust some kid who obvious gets some sort of commission.

Received a pair of gently used Hokas. Should have known something was wrong when it did not arrive in its original box.

I don't have my shoes yet. I ordered my shoes on 10/27; got an email on 10/28 with tracking and then my order sat untouched with no updates, for 12 days. I called Hoka CS and they were very polite, but didn't know anything about my order: whether it had shipped without getting an initial tracking scan and my shoes would perhaps just show up, or if my order was still being filled at Hoka. They also could not cancel my order. Zero help. Anyway, now they are on schedule to be delivered, but it's almost three weeks after I initially placed my order. It's like it's 1992. I walk 300 miles a month and this order was my third pair of Hoka's in 6 months. I love the shoes! My other two orders placed earlier this year arrived very quickly. I'm not sure what's happened with this order, but it may be my last: the long delay forced me to go to the mall to get new walking shoes. I found a pair of Sketchers for half the price of Hoka, and so far they are pretty good! I'd recommend buying walking shoes in person until Hoka gets their distribution center sorted out.

We exchange for a shoe with more plush so he would be happy. I'm a Clifton bondi 8 gal myself, so this will be interesting.

I have tried these and other and for my feet SPEEDGOAT is KING. All these other hurt my feet and heels. I can not seem to find another pair of HOKAs that don't hurt my feet besides the SPEEDGOATS.

Fit was fine, but the shoes wobbled when I walked on them, very unstable when I walked on them. And these would have been my third pair of Hokas, not sure what went wrong.

It seems like all the new year models of Hoka's have gotten smaller. They no longer fit true to size, and the toe box, length, and on the top of the foot is way too tight. This Challenger 7 is no different. I used to wear 10.5 in Hokas, then it was 11, now I'd need a 11.5, and maybe a wide. Ridiculous. Hoka quality is really going down hill if they can't keep sizing consistent. Just look at all the other reviews on the new generation of shoes, it's a common theme.

Overall I like the shoe but I usually wear a 4X wide and this shoe didn't come in that. The WIDE wasn't wide enough. Hoka - consider 2X, 4X in ALL shoes!

Got these shoes less than a month ago. They look like I've had them for two years and they are not good for people who supinate which is weird because I have the orange ones and it was 6 months before I started seeing signs of supination wear and tare.

I have feet that are tough to find shoes for: 7W. After hearing goods things about Hoka, I was overjoyed to see a model, Challenger ATR, that came in 7W. My joy was short-lived. After opening the box with much anticipation, I was crushed to find them too narrow. Unfortunately, they aren't offered in double wide. Another model is, but only starting with size 8. Therefore, I never wore them, can't give them a use rating, and returned them. My search continues.

I had the previous version, it was great. This model rubs my achilies tendon due to the weird shaped back of shoes. The loop to help pull the shoe on has also been removed, it was a great feature. Do not buy this shoe.

I bought them for work. I stand for 8 hours in a driveway loading cars and directing traffic. I liked that they have extra support in the bottom heel area. I've tried a couple different orthotic insoles that I regularly use in my previous shoes for extra support but for whatever reason. These shoes hurt my ankle and the side of my toe. They might be shaped slightly off or something in angle and affect the way I stand maybe.
