THE APPARENT NEW DESIGN IS NOT THE SAME AS PREVIOUS "CHALLENGER" MODEL SHOES. ITS TO WIDE EVEN WHEN ADDING EXPENSVE INSOLES

This was my first purchase of a Hoka shoe...great looking shoe but it was just a bit too narrow.

The Clifton style I purchased is the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn . The challenger I like for style and color. I prefer styles that offer a darker sole (white gets to dirty). Keep up the great work you're doing. I will look forward to new styles and colors!

I have a prosthetic leg. Most shoes do not function well with a prosthetic foot or leg, but these hookah Challenger sevens are awesome! It is the issue of balance stability seems to be OK so that's why I am in a quandary over why the balance is not quite there. However, these shoes have proved to be an excellent choice!

I absolutely loved the Challenger 5 ATR shoe. There are some changes with the 7's that my feet just aren't loving.

The challenger 7s are my 13th pair of Hokas , so to say the least, I am pretty sold out on the Hoka brand. However, if the challenger 7s were the only Hoka style that I knew of, I would be very disappointed overall. I have several different styles of Hokas, and these are the least comfortable. They look great, but come up short on comfort, for me.

Last HOKAs (same model) I purchased were size 9.5 and fit perfectly. Had to return that size and get a 10 for the same level of comfort this year. Definitely smaller than previous.

First time buying a Hoka Trail Running shoe. Was worried it would feel too cushiony but great balance of cushion and responsiveness. Fits like a glove and no hot spots. Only have used it for a few runs, but love it.

I really like the perfect fit and the wider heel counter. It feels like my foot is more and more stable with every step. Thank you. David U.

Must of us buy Hokas because of their plush step. This one was listed as a max-plush option but it was not as plush as advertised. That said, I love the treads and the roomy toe-box. With cushiony inserts, they are working well for me.

This was my 3rd attempt for correct walking shoe. Have found after two weeks that it is a durable shoe with comfort. Wish the Challenger 7 came with more conservative colors.

Was hoping to replace aging Bondi's with torn up collars around the back, but no go on this one. Even though it shows same height at rear to toe - it felt like I was sliding into the front of the shoe. Too steep, and strange. Toe box also a bit tight. Might retry these in 1/2 size larger later, but hoping Bondi 9 shows up soon.

These shoes are cushioned perfectly for me. I can stand/walk for hours. They are light and don't retain heat like my other shoes. They are easy to slip into, no crushed cuff on the back of the shoe. They are more expensive but they are totally worth it

Great Hoka trail shoes. The tread is very aggressive and it has good support. The colors on the one I got, the olive haze, is not as garish as most running shoes these days. I use them for long evening walks on pavement, and occasional interval jogging on dirt. Would def recommend these.

nice trail shoe with aggressive tread. Fit is pretty good, though the first time I wore them I had issues, though it was probably due to walking with a small pack loaded with sandbags more than the shoes. They look attractive and the colors aren't garish, like most shoes these days, at least in the Olive Haze/Forest Cover color. Hola makes great shoes, and these are no exception.

I've tried lots of brands and styles: new balance, Nike, Saucony, Hoka. The one problem is that although my feet are not wide, I prefer a wide toe box to prevent blisters for long runs. These shoes have held up great, are some of the most comfortable I own, and have enough comfort and responsiveness for me to reach for them weather hitting a tempo run or a zone 2 run.

Great shoes, 11 out of 10 for comfort and design. However, they're not as durable as I would have hoped. One third of the way into the 175mi Tahoe Rim Trail left the tread in ribbons. Replaced them on the next resupply with same shoe given comfort level. Just recommend Hoka improves the tread durability in the future.

I originally bought these shoes locally at a different store. Unfortunately, they don't have anymore of this shoe in my size. So I came here and picked up two more pairs as I use them daily. The Good: The Foam is great for about 3 months. The heel support is much better than other varieties of Hoka's I own. The Mid: Width Sizing is a little tight on me. Length sizing is fine. The Bad: The shoe is disposable and expensive. I'm under 170 lbs and the foam blows out in under 500 miles (walking). It's a night and day difference once the foam goes.

I am an overweight runner with a hitch in my get-along so I need a tough shoe. These are working out pretty good, the outer sole is almost worn out at 250 miles, but they are still comfortable to run 4-5 miles a day in. Most shoes I wear 11.5 but I wear 12 in Hokas, the fit is good.
