The shoes are comfortable though still a slight discomfort in the right lateral foot as I settle into them. For what it's worth, I took them out of the box and wore them on a 2 week UK trip walking several hours each day and they were a life saver. One frustration and the reason for the 4/5 - a week after I purchased these the 10's were released and I would've waited if there was some notice the 10's were coming imminently. I had to take the 9's in the 1 color with a wide in my size. All in all, the shoes do what they're intended to do very well but it seems outdated to not have a way to notify a customer that an impending product drop is coming.

I believe that this is my husband's 5th pair of Hokas. He says they're comfortable, they fit well & they give him good support. He wore them for the 1st time today & he got a lot of compliments on them! Of course the bright orange color does stand out. The price was sure good & so long as they work for his feet, that's good for me!

So I have enough room in my basement to jog when I can't get out. I can't get up much speed, but it works to keep me moving. I tried these inside in case they did not work for me and in 3 days I was not feeling good about it. I then went to a community gym with an indoor track where I could get up to speed. Pun intended. And these worked great for 3 miles. I will keep them, first actual running shoes from Hoka, but have a few walking shoes I wear to work. I also have amazingly flat feet, so I have to have an insert for pronation. These have VERY LITTLE support, but the next running shoes get will have to be more supportive.

Very light weight but firm where needed for sideways support. Needs more pronation support for my left ankle. The even cushion throughout the step is amazing. I wear a men's 10.5 and while these fit to my length, the width was too narrow and became painful to the outer edge of my right foot so I had to return them. They don't seem to carry the Wide for this size and model shoe.

Lightweight and good quality but too much arch support for me. Had to return because it bordered on uncomfortable. Kind of look like old guy shoes as well and I am 50 so…Went with Adidas, Supernova Stride and On Cloud and they are awesome and good looking

The shoe itself is one of my fav brands. This particular color combo screams summer, so cute. I tried a wide but the toe box width and height was extremely generous. Returning.

This shoe is comfortable out of the box. I have a current heel issue however, and felt the shoe to be not as supportive on the top of the foot as I need at the moment. Cushion on the bottom is great however. I did have a pair of Cliftons several years ago and found that over time, they did stretch and became less supportive.

"D" is really a narrow width and not "Medium" as advertised. I really wanted to like this shoe. It's well made, lightweight, and if it hadn't been so frigg'in narrow, I could tell it would've been very comfortable. YMMV.

First time customer and I'm impressed with the Clifton 9. My feet feels really good after a week of long walks in Puerto Rico. I'll be traveling to Tokyo in a few months and will put them to a good test there.
