These were not the Merrell Breeze I have bought many times. The back of the heel is no longer rigid.
The cut is different.painful for a high instep. I wont buy by mail again.

I bought and returned the navy color Encore 5. Nothing like the Encore 4, different mesh, sizing and all around construction. Bring back the 4, why change something that was good. I have 2 old pair and wont buy again.

I discovered these shoes in 2005. Every year bought at least one pair. They suited me. Easy on off. Fit. etc. Then a few years ago I ordered my annual pair and it was a very different shoe! The toe box was a different shape, the upper was much longer. I did not like it.The feel. The look. Even the colors were bad. I was bummed out and have been looking for a replacement ever since. And have mostly failed. This year, I went to an actual shoe store and they told me that Merrell was working to make their shoes good again! So I decided to try this years Encore Breeze, hoping I would be happy with it. To do that, I had to give up my idea of what the shape of the shoe should be and see if felt good and suited my needs. It did, And the steel color tis perfect!

Ive been wearing Merrills for years. The design has changed to give them a sleeker look without taking anything away from comfort and support. The colors are also wonderful

What I love about this product is that the wide width allows me more walking (with or without socks) and without the foot cramping! I also love the supportive and very stable foot bed (important to older people like me -- 74)! In addition, it makes the In/Out of the house (shoes off/shoes on) problem very fast and easy! Perfect for travel, especially to Asia/Japan, where shoes must come off fast when you come in. My friends and family want these, but have experienced problems with getting them in wide widths. Now, problems solved! Thank you, Merrell!!!!

Wore my moms after she died for 7 yearsabout stretched out and worn by the heels but STILL wearable! Bought 2 new pairs and a lined pair in the past year.
Love Merrell! That, Ecco and Naots are about all I wear in my old age (70ish).
Just wish you had a store near Detroit! Doesnt make sense that Howell (couple of hrs away) is the closest.

Ive been wearing MERRELLS for at least 35 years. They always fit perfectly, had great arch support and lasted forever. I was very disappointed. The size Id used for years doesnt work anymore. The great arch is gone and the toe box is squishing my left toes. Im sorry, the are not the same as the old MERRELLS.

A comfortable shoe tho requires some breaking in bc I have a high arch/ I like them enuf to work thru the breaking in- esp for summer, they are so light in the feet- the mesh makes for a cooler shoe

I have to say that the longer toe box design in the Breeze 5 suits me perfectly. I have replaced all my previous "short" models with these (my summer shoes). I have found that the arch support factor in Merrells (Jungle Moc too) is not what it used to be, but what is! Merrells are still my go to shoes, for every season.

I have worn this style for many years. I have bought them directly from Merrell, and from local store over the years. I've noticed the fit is not the same. Much more snug. At times uncomfortable compared to wearing them daily and not noticing discomfort. I am going to order the wide width and see how those are. I love them for their comfort and support. However honestly the last two orders have not been the same good old comfort. Please review your patterns slight adjustments might help .

These are the most comfortable shoes in the world and look great while doing it. I have 3 pairs and they are ready to go on my cruise to Alaska. Only one pair of boots are going. Thats how much I trust these shoes to do the job!!!!

Im glad ignored a couple of negative review and decided to give it a try, I'm happy with the shoes, it fits like a glove, easy to put on and to take off. I even wore the shoes on a short hike without any problem. The shoes is very stable every step.

Encore Breeze is my go-to footwear. V5 cushioned insole is great. Usually wear 8.5, a little too big. Have Burlwood in 8.0. Love the color. Im 83 yo retired Emergency Dept RN

Ive been wearing the new encore breeze for over two months. I reviewed them early on and they seemed ok but after wearing them longer I find them sloppy and not nearly as supportive. They run bigger and wider than the earlier ones. As a person with a narrow/medium foot this is a big issue. Also the super shiny color is not a winner. Every time I put them on I take them off and put on my old ones.
