These felt very different from the former versions which I loved. Cheap looking trim, hits higher on front than it used to.

The newer version has a fabric trim rahter than leather, and I don’t care for it, it doesn’t fit as well.

I’ve been wearing Encore Breeze 4 for years and loved them. This updated version seems to be longer and the rim of the shoe is cut higher which makes it more difficult to get on and off. Back they go!

At first the shoes fit like a glove, quite snug by later the first day loosened up. It wasn’t that they didn’t fit but after wearing Birkenstock clogs that are looser this was more like a hug. This is a better fit and less likely trip you up. The insole also seems to be a better shape for a woman’s foot. I have warn this brand for years because of their comfort and wearability

Just too big

Unfortunately, this new model has a narrower toe box so my toes are crushed. I have worn Encore Breeze shoes for several years because they are comfortable and fit my wide feet. The shoes also looked like they had been worn outside because there was dirt on the soles of the shoes. The material seems to be cheaper than in previous models. In talking with some friends who have worn Merrill Encore models, they too felt that the toe box is more narrow and the quality of the upper material was not as good as in previous models.
