I have returned the shoes because the fit was horrible. I wear a 9 wide and that's what I ordered but these were obviously larger !!! I couldn't keep them on my feet so I returned them. That process was smooth and at no cost to me so no complaints here...

I find the foot bed very different and difficult to get used to walking in. The seems too spongy for me., However, the width in the toe bed does feel better

My son bought me a size 8 m in the encore slip on aluminum several years back and it was a favorite, great fit and very comfortable. When I needed another pair, I bought the same but this pair has not been as sturdy, the soles are peeling off both shoes, very disappointing.

I have arthritis in my feet. My doctor recommended this brand because of the roominess in the toe area. There is no pressure on the joints in my toes and feet. The most comfortable shoes I have ever walked in.

I have a neuropathy in my feet so they are very sensitive. I almost never wear anything except for the encore breeze 4. My foot is a little bit narrow so I put a double cushion pad on top of the insole. I have flat pronated feet but too much arch support is painful. I bough the pinkish color encore breeze 5 and it is very similar to the 4 but feels a little less sturdy and a little wider. I really hope they dont discontinue the encore breeze 4 because they are just a little better for my feet. But honestly they arent that different except the I like darker color.

I was excited to see a new generation of this style, which I've loved in the past but have had a hard time with over the last few years. I ordered a size 12M but they were too big/loose all around, even with socks. I wear 12Ms in other Merrells (Moabs and Siren Edge) so thought these would be a likely fit, but they're not. Size 11s are too small but going up to the 12s was a bigger jump than I expected for a difference of 1 size. I also found the arch support lacking but that could've been due to the poor fit. For what it's worth: Rock is a beautiful blue/grey color and I'm really sad that I have to return them.

Oh these are comfy right out of the box, Just love the changes, Encore breeze 5 is the best update ever, thank you. The new inner lining just hugs and supports your foot, the knitting around the top is so nice, besides it being so cold out and the shoe freezing when I tried it, they are juts lovely, the shape also changed with its looking less rounded, Very nice.

The arch support isn't there. This doesn't feel well thought out. I bought 4 pairs of Merrells last week, and can't recommend any of them. What happened to the arch support? I have spent many years only wearing Merrells, and counting on them for foot comfort. 2021's waterproof booties fell apart from the inside out, but at least the arch support was there. Now there's no quality remaining.
