I like the shoe but the sole is ripping away from the shoe. I've only used them once or twice

Although there are many reviews stating that the bottom tread falls off early and easily, I decided to give them a shot. I guess only time will tell if it's the shoes or the user/wearer. So far I'm happy with my purchase.

Normally wear size 12, had to return. Great looking shoe but runs small and narrow. If the material wasn't so noisy I would order a wide and half size larger but sounded like my feet were in grocery sacks or something. The mesh material is very noisy as it flexes as you walk. Was super excited about these and sad to be let down.

Compared to my 5-star Nova 2 shoes these Nova 3 trail running shoes have been detrimentally changed. The spaciousness of fit remains but the insoles is less padded and slanted inward (forcing pronation). The toe box has no protective shield of rubber like the Nova 2s (avoid rocks?).
The laces are thinner perhaps to save weight but feel flimsy. I'll need to play with after market insoles to improve.

Incredibly comfortable, but they just don't hold up. I've only got about 50 miles of trail use on them and they have holes and delamination.

Really disappointed in these shoes. I have a prior version of Merrell Novas that are very comfortable. These Nova 3's put an undo amount of pressure on the inside of your knees. Maybe there is more padding on the outside edge of the shoes than the inside of the shoe? Not sure, but I really wanted to like these based on my prior experience with Novas. Bummer.

I had a pair Nova 2's which were great, very stable with good arch support. I bought these Nova 3's for a trip to Mexico, expecting simular performance. These shoes do not give me arch support with my feet rotating inward giving me an unstable foot bed. I ended up not taking them on my trip. I am unable to return them as I wore them outside. Customer service says they should fit like my Nova 2's but they just are not the some quality.

Heel keeps slipping out, no matter how tight I tie the laces. I have a narrow foot but they run very narrow. Started noticing pain on outside of my right foot. Overall, worst pair of Merrells that I've ever owned.

I bought my current pair of Nova 3 in March. I liked the Nova 2 so was looking forward to the upgrade. I was disappointed.
Although GTX they were never waterproof. The shoe leaked at the toebox. I should have sent them back but didn't.
My Fitbit says I've done about 700-800km in them. Mostly light trails.
The heel cap is coming of both shoes and the stitching from the tongue loop is loose.

Heel cup is unusually wide which results in heel lift. I really wanted to like these shoes but they just don't work for me.
