I bought these shoes to replace a well worn pair of Nova 2 shoes. The Nova 3 is more supportive and comfortable than the Nova 2 was. The Nova 3 fits my foot well and provides great traction on all types of surfaces. I've used these on gravel and dirt trails and hard surfaces such as asphalt and concrete. Their performance, support and comfort has been great on many multi mile excursions. If you are looking for a versatile running/walking shoe the Nova 3 is a great selection.

The lightest Merrell shoes I have ever purchased. Very comfortable will buy another pair soon. I use these for walking.

Right sizing and wide. Very comfortable for long city walks.

I am usually apprehensive about 'new and improved' versions of products that I am completely happy with as-is. Such was the case with the Merrell Nova shoe: would the new version be less comfortable, or use cheaper, less durable materials than the older one? First off, the sizing. As advised, I ordered 1/2 size smaller because they're supposed to run large. That was a mistake, because the smaller numeric size was physically too small for me, and I had to return them for my usual size - which fit perfectly. As far as comfort goes, once I got the correct size, they felt great, cushioning in the right places and gripping well. For durability, the materials seem to be of reasonably good quality, but I'll reserve judgement on it after wearing them a few months.

Most comfortable pair of shoes that I have ever owned. Eliminated issues that I had with prolonged standing or walking. Will purchase again!

This is my second pair of Nova 3's. my first pair fit perfect right out of the box and lasted forever. Excellent comfort and superior traction and durability. Toe box gives plenty of room and does not squeeze your toes. Great hiking shoes can handle the toughest trails around.

Excellent trail and walking shoe. Walked all over Paris. The last shoe I had made my achilles sore. Not these Nova 3s

Used as everyday shoes and for hiking. Very comfortable shoes with great grip. I wish the outsole was more durable as I got only three months of use from the tread.

Very cushoned & bouncy. Can walk fast with ease. Comfortable. The sole is wearing down very fast, I wish they were twice as hard

This shoe slips down on my heel when I walk. I ordered the size I usually wear in Merrell and then tried a 1/2 size smaller. If I take a hard step backwards and plant my foot, they come off my foot entirely. I've never had a pair of shoes do this before. I will try to exchange them for a different shoe entirely

Solid shoe. But, a half size longer than the other Merrells I've purchased in the same siz.

why are you asking me for a review, you said to order a size down so i did but then they were a size too small, so i tried to exchange them, but you never sent me replacement shoes

These are light, comfortable, and keep my feet dry when walking through wet grass. I have found the soles to be firm enough to walk on trails that have stones and roots, with comfort and ease. I weigh 165-170 lbs.

These are the most comfortable Merrell shoes I've ever had. I work in a warehouse and average around 20,000 steps per shift and I have not had any foot issues with these.

I am not a trail runner but I did buy these shoes for hiking and casual wear. If Im being honest, I have had them on my feet for 2 weeks! I have been on vacation and doing both hiking and walking and my feet are very happy. These shoes have great support in the arch and heel and the traction on the trail is what I need.

Was having some leg pain in different shoes so I did a little research. I didnt realize Merrill had running shoes. These are the most comfortable shoes Ive ever trained in, Im a little older (59) and the Nova 3 checks all the boxes. Soft landing, breathable, sung fit and just overall the best for me.

Merrell never disappoints. Super comfortable, lightweight and true to the establish the perfect fit. I average 10 miles a day and these sneakers have held up. I have owned several Merrell products of the years and have never had any issues. Actually have a pair of waterproof hiking shoes on the way directly from Merrells website.

Super comfortable but I like the laces on the nova 2s better
