This is my 3rd attempt to review these slippers. I'll keep this short in the event this does not post either. My experience with these slippers is much like many others. The left and right slippers seemed to be cut/made very differently. The right fit like a glove and the left inner padding/sole was cut much narrower than the actual leather bottom. This caused my foot to slide outward and off the edge of the footbed. I only wore them the evening they arrived and part of the following day. While I wore them just putzing around the house, my foot kept slipping sideways almost turning my ankle. In that short time you could already see that it caused me to end up walking on the side of the slipper where the stitching is. Like the whole slipper was tilted inward with the sole twisted. I imagine that is what lead to the stitching wearing out and breaking that is seen in many of the photos others have posted ? I bought this style thinking that the higher boot cut might be more secure and safer on my foot, but I found them to be awkward as I kept slide ing off balance in them. The other issue I had just wearing them 2 times, when I took them off my white socks we stained a yellow-brow color from the Nile to the toes. It looked like the socks were dipped in coffee ! I am not sure if this was dye from the leather or something in the fir lining... maybe this goes away after long term use ? Anyway, I had wanted these for a while and after reading mixed reviews I thought I'd take a chance. You always think that maybe others happened to just get a bad pair and maybe you'll get lucky and receive a perfect pair. Unfortunately, like so many others, I had to return them. I think they are a great design and have potential to be a favorite slipper if they were able/willing to fix the issues that seem to be noted in the numerous reviews. On a positive note - the Wicked Good mule/clog style slippers are MUCH better. They are super soft, warm and comfortable.I bought a pair for a friend and she RAVES about them, they are very well constructed and holding up really well.

My previous pair of these slippers lasted for almost ten years before I needed to replace them. I loved them. This newer pair (bought December 2019) has lasted barely over a year and already the lining is worn thin, the slippers are stretched out, and the left slipper lists to the right. I won't buy again and feel that L.L. Bean has traded on their reputation while cutting corners and with it quality. Eventually the reputation follows.

These slippers could be great, but I had to return my first pair in early Feb. 2021 because the right-foot slipper had a defect: after 2 wks of wear, the right-foot slipper increasingly tilted toward the outside, to the point where I was walking on the outside seam of this slipper instead of firmly on the sole. The left-foot slipper is fine. Viewing the 'wear' marks on the sole of each slipper, it is clear from the marking on the right-foot sole that it veered toward the outside. I requested a replacement pair. Unfortunately, 2-3 weeks into wearing them, the same problem arose on the right-foot slipper. I will be returning this pair, as well. I suspect both pairs were part of a defective shipment, given both pairs had the same defect. It's unfortunate, the left-foot is a perfectly good and cozy slipper. (It is not my feet, as I've never had this problem with any other footwear.)

These are really nice slippers and very comfortable. I got them as a gift in 2019. However just over a year this Dec 2020 (pass the return date) later the right foot outer seam lacing failed. It just disintegrated. The lining also flattened out and slipper became to loose to wear unless I wear a thick sock. I always wore these inside.I agree with other reviewers that these are way too pricey to have them fail so soon. I too have purchased other slippers elsewhere for a third of the price that lasted for several years. I now have to keep making excuses when my DIL who gave me these as a gift-greets me at the door (observing covid rules) and see I am not wearing them. I have contacted customer service and a very nice rep has explained the process to return which Iwill do. It may be a while but I can't wear them. So more excuses to DIL for a but longer.

I was given my first pair of these slippers as a Christmas gift and wore them daily for around 7 years. They were amazing and I asked for another pair for Christmas 2018. Within the first 4 months the slippers broke down in a strange way that made them twist sideways / roll in, something my old ones never did. I tried fluffing out the inside to see if that would help and it would for a couple of days. Then I got a pair of wool inserts and put them in to try to stabilize things. It worked ok for a while and then I just stopped wearing them as often. I put them on today and as I was pulling them on the side of the slipper split - right through the hide and not at a seam. I came onto the site to find out about returning them and see that the LL Bean return policy has drastically changed. As much as I loved my old pair, after reading all the reviews it really looks like slippers of that quality are a thing of the past at LL Bean and with the 1 year limit on returns I'm now looking at other options. Spending $89 a year on slippers isn't an option.

The slipper is fantastic excpet for the tag placement inside each slipper. It's unbearable to wear without cutting out the tag, but the tag is place deep enough inside that it's difficult to cut out without damaging the stitching of the slipper. Just a poor design choice, especially for a high end product. Would not recommend becuase of the tag.

I thought these would be the perfect, cozy slippers. They offer no support so my foot slipped around inside the slipper when I walked. Ended up walking a lot on the side of the slipper. Perhaps the moccasin would have been a better choice. Disappointed as I have expected for the price a great slipper.

I loved the design and was eager to wear something while I Zoomed all day. Unfortunately, the shearling quality is poor and much thinner than the UGG's that I ultimately purchased. The stitching in one toe started to unravel after about two weeks. So disappointed- I really wanted to like these and have always adored LL Bean products.

I don't remember when I bought these slippers, maybe 4 years ago. Worn a few times then lost for 2+ years (packed away with Christmas decorations!) Found recently and wearing them now. It's noticeable that every time I remove them I'm also removing more and more fleece, especially around my ankle/heel areas; the fleece just comes off the leather in clumps. Otherwise the slipper is in excellent shape since they've been worn only a few times. LL Bean doesn't honor their 'warranty' any more like they used to so I don't expect to be able to return them but I'm very unhappy with the quality of these slippers. I shop mainly at LL Bean and am happy with most purchases but once in awhile their quality really slips

I have purchased these slippers numerous times over the years, was by far my favorite slipper. Now they are made in China and just not the same quality.....and do not last nearly as long. Sadly this will probably be the last ones I purchase unless there is an improvement.

I am wearing my second pair of these slippers. While I really thought this was the slipper for me i have been sorely disappointed two times now. This last pair has only lasted 6-7 months and i am having to again re-lace the sole onto the top again. I will not purchase another pair of these as i know it will happen again. After spending this kind of money plus the shipping i would expect a lot more especially from LL Bean.

I wear a size 6 shoe and don't wear shoes out quickly. Shoes I wear daily last years. I bought size 7 slippers a couple of years ago. The fleece has worn out in the heel and they've split along the side seam. I had complained at the time I received them that, despite being a size larger than my shoe size, they were a tight fit. I was told the fleece would tamp down. They are wonderfully warm, but have worn out WAY too soon - and WERE too small for their sizing. These should be sized for their fit to a normal shoe sized foot - i.e. even though the outer size of the slipper might measure to a 7, it should be promoted as the size of the foot that will fit inside.

I was appalled at the decline in the quality of this product. I have worn these slippers for years and have reordered numerous times, but what I received yesterday was of poor quality to the point that I returned them. It's difficult to tell the difference between the left and right slipper and the workmanship is shabby. I won't be wearing these anymore.

I had high hopes for these slippers and while they look pretty, there is very little padding or fur lining. I aguess I am going to keep them simply because I do not want to pay return shipping and they are fine for sitting on the couch. And now that I am reading them they are made in China. Something I did not expect. Ugh.

Yes, I really wanted this pair to work. While they are snug, perhaps in time, my feet will tamp down the lining. But the unavoidable problem is that even after only 3 months of casual (and always indoors) use the thread holding the top to the bottom along the side and at the heal is frail and fraying so much that they are likely soon to fail. Should I stitch with my own twine? Return to LLBean? Ouch: In either case, a disappointing hassle.

I have a pair of these, same size, that are about 10 years old. After a teething puppy and a thieving daughter, I asked my husband for a new pair. I was very disappointed to find that they are significantly shorter in length, and overall look so much smaller than my old pair! I simply cannot fit my foot in the slipper. Add to that, you can see that the quality of the leather is nothing like the old pair. I will be returning them to our local LL Bean store. I seriously doubt I will be ordering another pair.

I loved the look of these slippers, but the opening of them is too small. I cannot get them on my feet unless I use a shoe horn :( They are so cute and the color is so pretty, its a shame they made the opening so small :(

I'm very disappointed in the quality of the slipper. I used to have LL Bean shearling slippers that I loved but they just got filthy so I wanted to replace them. But these are pretty much falling apart and I only got them a few months ago. The worst part is the seams are splitting on the inside and exposing the inside of the leather which is not soft and absorbent. It gets sweaty and sticky and feels constantly like I've stepped in soda pop or something. You can't really wear socks with these slippers because they'll just slip off your foot. So I don't know what to do about this. Probably will just buy a cheapie replacement. I'm very disappointed.

I have been wearing these slippers for over 30 years and while I love them the quality has gone way down. I use to get at least 2-3 years out of every pair-- not now. I now need a new pair every 6 months as the stitching falls apart and the inside fabric wears out. I will not buy them except when there is a significant discount and I may just have to give them up completely due to the poor quality.

I have a high arch, but took a chance with this style because my feet have been so cold this winter. Unfortunately, they are just too hard to put on and get off without sufficient room in the opening so they are going back.

I have had the same slipper in the past, but this pair didn't work out so well. The right foot kept "lisping" to the right, and twisted my sock, which was very annoying. Last pair didn't do that. I now can return them for an exchange, which I'm not sure I want to, or a return them for a refund, but if they don't think they are defective, I have no slippers, no money. They would be great if you didn't wear socks, but I usually do, because my feet are always cold. They were expensive, but my last pair was totally worth it.

if I had not thrown away the packaging I would send these back - I cannon imagine the foot that these would fit - one with a very narrow heel on one foot only - they look lovey and warm but impossible to walk in. I will donate the to the women's shelter - maybe someone there has strange feet that these will fit !!!

The padding and warmth is amazing, like no other, but the width of the boot is not acceptable . My feet and toes were over the sole when I walked. I thought i could twist my ankle in it. Very unhappy I couldn't purchase. Very. If only they made them wider. Now i did go for the new Mocccasin in Wide but those were much too long for a size nine. I suppose I could have ordered an eight and tried that, but I had done so much ordering and returning already with Ll Bean lately. They just do not understand shoes for Ameican Women IMHO.

Very disappointed in these slippers. I have returned 3 pairs because the stitching along the sole wears through, one pair lasted 4 months! Before this recent problem I had a pair that I wore for YEARS! Will not buy this slipper ever again.
