These slippers are very warm even without socks. Until the sheepskin compresses a little I can not wear these with socks (too tight). Many years ago I had gotten this type of slipper and the outside was more like leather than suede. They were much easier to put on. These slippers are suede and very soft so I can't just slip them on without using my hands. Overall they are very nice and warm.

I suffer from cold feet all my life and it doesn't take much for them to get cold. Typically, I wear a 6.5-7 shoe. Usually it is 6.5 for shoes or flats and 7 for sneakers and some boots/booties. I ordered these in a size 7 and was surprised at how snug they fit. The inside really does have a lot of cozy material. I preferred the 7 over the 6.5 because I enjoy wearing socks with my slippers as an extra layer of warmth. Luckily, I'm still able to wear socks with the size 7 without it being too small, I just can't wear very thick socks. The fabric also stretches a bit, so that helps. When I first slipped them on, I was very happy with how comfortable they were. It seems like it had some sort of memory foam or something on the sole and it was very nice to wear. As these seem to be one of the warmer slippers by LL Bean, I was expecting no issues in keeping my feet warm and for the most part, except maybe a few nights where I just couldn't get warm, they did a good job.
Now that I've had the slippers for about a month, here are some of my issues with the slippers: One, there is no sole on the bottom, something I overlooked when purchasing these slippers. It seemed a bit unstable when walking, as if your foot shifted or rolled-like to the left or right. Not enough to sprain an ankle, but it was still odd to get used to. Now that I've been wearing them for a month, I don't notice it or it no longer does that as it basically makes an imprint of your foot into the sole of the slipper. The downside to that, is the "cozy" material I mentioned above pretty much wears down where your foot makes the most impact. This leaves the arch with tufts of the "cozy" material, so the sole becomes a bit unbalanced. I hope I'm explaining this right. Yes, I feel, with socks, it keeps my feet warm, but I wish I would have purchased a set that had a sole versus just fabric on the bottom. I also wish that it kept the shape of the sole better as they were super comfortable when I first started wearing them, but I feel after only a month, I've kind of worn them in. Not very good considering the cost of these slippers.

I don't usually write reviews but these are so warm and soft. I'm normally an 8.5 and it says to order a half size up, so I ordered a 9. They were HUGE after breaking them in for a day or so. Called in and exchanged for an 8. Seemed very snug when I received them but after wearing them for a couple of days they are also quite big. Definitely order down. I will keep them bc they are so comfy, but the sizing is off.

I have never been a slipper person before but I have worn these slippers almost everyday, as long as I'm in the house, since I received them. They are so cozy warm and comfortable. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the right slipper seems to feel a little different than the left (which is perfect), but it is probably my foot and not the slipper.

I bought these slippers several years ago and haven't worn them very often. I do like the shearling and the way that they feel on my feet, but the main problem is that putting them on and taking them off takes some effort - I have to actually pull each one on rather than just sliding my foot into it. And I don't feel that they work all that well when in bed, at least for me. So unless I am feeling particularly cold and need my feet to be warmer (which sometimes happens), they just seem too much trouble. The other downside is that they cannot really be worn outside at all. I wish I had chosen a slip-on pair,of shearling slippers with indoor-outdoor soles. Sometime I guess I will have to splurge and buy a pair, but that seems sort of wasteful since I already have these. They are warm and comfortable though.

I purchased these new Wicked Good slippers to replace my old ones which were the best slippers ever and lasted 6 years. Unfortunately, the exact same size and model no longer fits. The new slipper has a extremely narrow toebox, and they actually hurt my toes when I try to stand in them. I'm very disappointed that LLBean has chosen to not offer womens slippers in wide options, which is very unfair, as they offer men wide sizes! I'm extremely disappointed in LLBean's decision to make these far too narrow and not offer women wide widths, it's just so unfair! Additionally, they no longer have the leather strip covering the top seam, so they won't be weatherproof anymore. My old slippers, once sprayed with a waterproofer for suede, kept out snow when I went to the mailbox - these will not, it will just seep in this exposed top seam. Disappointed in LLBean's poor design decisions, unfair sizing options, and narrow pointy toebox. Order a size up or be prepared for a painful break-in period!

I've had these slippers for a few days now. As others have said, they're definitely tight when you first get them. However, they've loosened up a great deal since wearing them. I like for my slippers to fit snugly though, so didn't want to order a size up.
One thing that is very aggravating about these is that the lambswool lining shed all over my couch when I first got them. So after giving them a "haircut" that problem went away. For the amount of money these cost, I would expect not to have a problem like that.
I'm also not crazy about the color choices. They look a little masculine to me, but I guess I'll get over that. I did a lot of searching before choosing these, and they seemed to be the best for what I wanted, which was something that did a good job at keeping my feet warm.

I am barely a 9.5 and ordered the size ten. They are very snug on a bare foot---forget socks. Because they are so warm, socks won't be needed, but still the snug fit is a big surprise. So ORDER UP!!! Then, you will be very happy all winter with these on your feet.

These slippers may be good but they will be my last pair as ll bean NEVER puts them on sale NOR gives 10-20% off so you can get a break.
I guess ll bean folks only want RICH people buying from them.

These are wonderful warm and comfy slippers, fine fit, etc. Unfortunately for (lazy) me, I can't just 'slip' into them but have to hold the tab in the back to find my way in. Then I'm happy as can be.

These slippers are every bit as cozy and comfortable as other reviewers note. However, I returned my first pair due to a bunching up of the shearling in the right slipper near the toes, as though it hadn't been adhered correctly. True to their reputation, LL Bean replaced them with another pair. However, the second pair has the same issue, in the same right slipper (no problems with the left). I didn't see this issue in other reviews, so wanted to point it our as a potential issue in case anyone else notices it.

Great slippers except for soles which are same material as top. Old pair was a heavier leather - better quality.

I'll be returning these because they didn't feel quite right on my feet. They felt too big in the heel and too small at the toes. Otherwise, they would have been warm and a decent slipper.

I like the slippers. I did pull out the tag that was put in the middle of the inside slipper where the arch of my foot was, very uncomfortable . Otherwise decent slippers that I hope will last

For the longest time I have wanted to purchase these slippers. Finally, I ordered a pair which arrived wonderfully packaged. The slippers are lovely. They are very comfortable and my feet adores them. However, the downside is that they make squeaking sounds when I walk. Now it is impossible for me to raid the refridgerator during the night without waking up the household with these squeaky slippers.

These slippers are a little snug at first but will conform to your foot after a while. They are comfortable and warm. They do in fact have a strong smell like some of the other reviewers mentioned. However, it has dissipated some and will hopefully continue to do so. I like the fact that they do not have a hard sole. It is soft and is the same material as the sides.

I had Minnetonka slippers like these for years but they have changed how they are made and now have uncomfortable seams. SO....I bought LL Bean ones and they are very nice. Don't cover quite as much ankle as my old Minnetonkas but are smooth inside and so soft. When you first put them on they may feel a bit snug but the fleece conforms to your feet for a yummy fit. My only comment is that I wish they has no sewn tag inside....I am going to try to cut it out.

I have owned several pairs of these booties and I love them! They are warm & so soft. I wear them every day in the cold months. HOWEVER, they do wear out quickly on the outside and the stitching, unfortunately, comes apart.

I love everything about the slippers. They are so comfortable & warm. My only quibble is that they are hard to pull on but the tab in back helps.

I bought a pair of these last year that are holding up very well, but wanted a pair to leave at our cabin. I love these slippers, very warm, and I like the soles! I wear a size 10 shoe normally, and needed a 9 in these slippers last year. They fit perfectly even after the normal stretch you would expect. This year I ordered a size 9 and they are way too big! I'm walking out of them. I need an 8 but they are on backorder now. Very bummed! I suggest you order 2 sizes down for the winter 2015 model.

This is my third pair of these slippers in 16 years. They are the most comfortable thing I have ever put on my feet. I absolutely love them. My only complaint this year is that the tag at the arch has become much larger and is scratchy. I cut it out but it's hard to avoid cutting out any of the soft fluffy lining. Please make the tag smaller again or at least use softer material.

These slippers are unbelievably comfy!!! I gave them 4 stars because they are visually quite ugly, strictly indoors, and while the padding on the sole is super soft with bouncy cushion, there is no true support for your foot meaning the sole is flat, flat, flat. If you have high arches these may hurt your feet after walking a while. Also, based on the scrunching of the Sherpa wool after one week usage, my guess is they won't stand the test of time. On the flip side, what I love most is that you don't necessarily have to take them off for putting your feet up on the couch or bed, because they are like sheep skin super thick socks. Once they are on they stay on and they are WARM and cozy!!! Perfect for just lounging around the house on cold days. Love these.

This shoe runs short so if you wear an 8 1/2 you need to order a size 10. Also if you wear a wide width I don't recommend you getting this shoe. It runs very narrow for a medium width and it doesn't come in wide for women. I had to return them because they were to short and to narrow and exchange them for something else.

love them. Fit is good but a little hard to put on with my ankle problem but keeping them. A little elastic on sides might help. I wear a size 8 and they fit perfectly.
