POOR QUALITY. I have had these shoes for 4 months and they broke. The material that goes around the shoe broke off from the shoe itself when I was simply walking. I am very disappointed. Love the style and the comfort. But don’t recommend spending this much money for a shoe that won’t last. Save your money.

Love the Mayari. Sadly for $125 Zappos sent me a pair that had toe marks in them (someone wore them,) no tags, no original box. No thank you.

These were too big for me. When I tried to use the “return “ link, it lead to no where.

I will never buy Birkenstocks again even though I am a Birkenstock believer. These shoes ended up being such a disappointment. I've had many Birkenstocks over the years. My first pair lasted 20 years my 5th pair that I bought 3 years ago lasted one year and the pair that I just bought lasted one week. Birkenstock has totally sold out and are passing off these flunky fakes as they are the tried-and-true Birkenstocks.

I no longer love Birkenstock. I have worn these shoes a little over a week and already they are coming apart. Seriously Birkenstock WTF??? My FIRST pair of Birks lasted 20 YEARS these didn't even last 20 DAYS. They are obviously no longer made with integrity. I bought my last pair and they lasted 1 YEAR before falling apart. There is no reason a pair of shoe that cost $100 dollars should begin to come apart in 1 week. The footbed is still great but the craftsmanship is completely gone. Birkenstock you sold your soul to the devil.

They look and feel great, unfortunately the cork sole split after less than one summer's worth of use. Birkenstock doesn't have a warranty to fix or replace so they are a very expensive one season shoe for me. I recommend not to buy.

The inside left sandal rubber sole was not glued down all the way. I had read reviews before I ordered these and others had commented on structural problems they had. I decided not to keep these nor am I going to exchange them for another pair. I I think it is best if I simply find a different brand.

I love birkenstocks but I received the color tobacco brown instead of tobacco leather -- which is a tan color. I love tan but rarely have anything brown. Super disappointed.

I have had these sandals for two years and they just broke. I am really disappointed because the other pair of Birkenstocks I have have lasted me since 2003. It's also frustrating since these are fairly expensive sandals and I was expecting them to last much longer.

I don't even know how to describe what's wrong with these sandals because I'm not really sure. There's a hump right under the big toe that's painful and I'm not sure why it's there. Seems like a design flaw. Obviously, I just don't get it when it comes to these beloved sandals...pretty much the most uncomfortable thing I've ever tried on.

Birkenstocks hurt! Whose feet are these molded for? The foot of the bed just behind the bal of the foot has a hump that makes you feel like you're walking on big landscaping stones. I wanted to like these, but now I can't return it.

I really wanted to like these, but unfortunately, they were a fail. I wanted a pair of Birks, but thought I would try something different than the classic Arizona style. I thought the Mayari was the answer. I had to return the first pair because they were a bit too long (I am an 8-8.5 and the 38 was a much better fit). The first time I wore them, I got a blister on the side of my second toe on my left foot. I changed the toe straps (having the strap come over instead of under) based on another review and that seemed to help with the blister issue. The more annoying aspect is that my right foot makes what can only be described as a farting noise when I walk. It feels as though the air gets trapped under my arch and when I step down "Pthbpthb". Sadly, I won't be wearing these anymore and essentially wasted a hundred bucks.

I love these shoes and have bought them for years, but the quality of Birkenstocks is not what it used to be. After owning these for less than 10 months (and not wearing them at all for 4 of those months), they have broken. The toe loop on the left foot pulled out and I can’t fix it. I’m so disappointed, but I guess I need to find a new brand.

Material was described as "blue oiled leather" - it was plastic. No way could you call this material "leather". I sent them back.

What happened to Birkenstock’s? Wore these to work today and they were so uncomfortable. Read reviews saying it had a soft footbed and these were like cement. My Feet swelled as well. I’m sure they can’t be returned after wearing them, so these are going in my pile of “what was I thinking” shoes. I’m also a solid 8.5 shoe size and these were much larger than I thought they would be.

fit fine in the footbed when I adjusted the straps but my heels moved around when I tried to walk. Maybe they were too wide, but my heels kept landing on the ridges of the shoe -very painful.

Another companies quality going down the drain. I am a solid 8.5 in most shows so I ordered the 39s. Just huge! They look very cheap like a knock off from Walmart. Going to exchange for a smaller and completely different style.

I ordered these for my daughter, and for the first time, I was stunned by Birkenstocks quality control...big glue smear on the front that was quite obvious, and then a glue blob sticking out from one of the straps. Returning to Zappos and hoping the QC was better on the 2nd pair I've ordered.

I’ve had these about eight months and they’re falling apart. I wore them a lot during the summer and around the house sometimes over the winter and the toe strap just broke. When I looked it up it seems to be a known issue with the shoe. This is the third or fourth pair of Birks I’ve owned and really disappointed in these.

Although these sandals look and feel great, the Birko-flor material simply is not durable enough (in this design at least). As many other reviews mention, the narrow portion of the big-toe strap broke on both sandals after less than 1 year of use; these sandals were purchased Feb 4th 2019, and both straps broke in December 2019. One of the driving factors behind choosing Birkenstock sandals was the durability and longevity touted by many satisfied customers. Unfortunately, I feel as though we were delivered an inferior product masqueraded as quality Birkenstock goods. Although I appreciate the company provided a leather alternative, I simply do not think Birkenstock should (in good conscience) continue to produce and sell these defective scandals I mean sandals. I would like to purchase a pair of leather Mayari sandals, but I would need convincing.

Unfortunately the shoe is already broken when I received it. One of the string broke out.

The shoes seemed nice and fit well, but they do not last long at all. After less than a year the cork started to crack where the straps connect at the front on the sides of the foot and the foot bed has lost its cushion. These were worn for a few months last year, and then again for spring and summer this year which was about 6 months of total wear a couple times a week. During this summer they started to crack more and more. For the price I don't think these shoes should only last about 6 months. This was my first pair of Birkenstocks and will be my last as their quality is quite poor. I reached out to Birkenstock to inquire about the quality issue and to see if there was a warranty, but they said they did not offer one and gave me the option of contacting Zappos or to bring them into one of their stores to see if they could fix them. I wasn't pleased with this answer - the manufacturer should stand behind their product and there is no Birkenstock store in the state I live in anyhow.

So disappointed in these sandals. Purchased them in late December 2018 and have worn them only occasionally since. The cork has already cracked and started separating horribly on both shoes, and now both toe straps are about to break also on both sandals. I've had Birkenstocks last for years with regular wear. These are literally falling apart and are threads away from being trash with only occasional wear over 9 months. I've seen several similar reviews, which makes me wonder if Birkenstock's quality has reduced in recent years. I loved the comfort of these sandals, but hesitate to purchase again when they fall apart so quickly.
