The cork cracks by the strap where your foot bends.

I think these shoes are counterfeit, or at the very least seconds/blems. They came in an unmarked box (not the signature blue Birkenstock box) and are missing the "leather" symbol that's always present next to the word Birkenstock that's printed on the insole of the shoe. Finally, they appear to be worn, like someone else had purchased and returned them. Needless to say, they will be going back.

This is my 3rd attempt to find Birkenstocks that fit. I’ve never owned a pair before, and everyone I know who has them says they’re wonderful, so I wanted to try them. It’s been frustrating to say the least because they don’t fit true to size, and the straps and toe loops are much larger on one shoe. I’d need a monster big toe on one foot for these to fit. These shoes don’t have many parts! How hard is it to make them the same? I’m extremely disappointed that these have such poor quality control. For the price, and the reputation of this brand, I expected a lot better.

These darn sandals never last and the toe strap always breaks after a few months

Was not the color I expected. This is more tan a Han chocolate brown.

The wrong color was sent and these shoes were incredibly uncomfortable. Not the comfort I was expecting.

They broke after one month wearing them a few days a week. Sandals that cost this much should last much longer than that! I’m pissed.

This shoe broke within 3 hours of wearing! Main strap came out of show base. What happened to Birkenstock sandals????? Have they been downgraded in quality because they are now on Amazon/Zappos??? Very disappointed.

Leather straps were hard and not very flexible. They were difficult to adjust and cut into my feet once I could get them on. If you like Birks, get the suade rather than the leather.

These are probably my 20th pair of Mayari, I love them. But this pair is defective, the piece of leather that crosses over the big toe on the right foot is way too short and extremely uncomfortable to wear. I’m returning them. This has never happened with the other 20+ i’ve owned, so one in a million that i got the defective pair. Will still be buying Mayari, love them.

Not good for people with thinner toes and smaller feet. The 4.5 fit more like a 5 to 5.5. The strap fit too loose in the toe.

I wear almost exclusively Birkenstocks, I think my body has actually molded around the Birko floor and something was off about these. They didn’t come in the Birkenstock box, which is just a side note - more importantly they hurt my feet, and they didn’t feel symmetrical. I’ve worn this style with the black oiled leather, and have a brown pair with the ankle straps so this seemed like a pretty easy purchase - but sadly will have to return these. It’s possible I just received a bad pair.

The sandal itself is comfortable and stylish. I wore them periodically over the summer months in 2021. After three months averaging 2 - 3 times a week, the foot bed adjacent to the leather strap started cracking. I asked if I could return them yet was told no because I wore them outside over a few months. I’m disappointed that the quality did not match the price point. I’m 5’7” and 140lbs. I wear a size 9 narrow. I expected the sandal to last behind one season. I will purchase again yet though Nordstroms in case of defect to protect my investment.

There’s a defect in the toe area. The loop that you got your toe in is too big. It’s a manufacturer error. I have another pair of these shoes and they’re fine.

Right shoe not made right big gap under bottom strap near right ankle. Appears the buckle itself was not center and not aligned. I bought these for a beach wedding on Sunday 2/20/22. I did contact CS when received. I was offered a new pair by Sunday Eve. I needed them for afternoon and couldn’t risk not having them for wedding in afternoon. I was given a $20 credit. I’m still not happy. They don’t support my right ankle line it should. Just wanted to share this with your team. Thanks

The sandals were slippery. On tile floors too much slipping and slipping… sent back

Would have kept these sandals if tread were not so slippery. My tile floors….. slipping and sliding… sent back

I always order size 38 in Birkenstocks. When these came they were way too big!!! I've since reordered a smaller size, which I never take, and am waiting for them. We will see. I'm guessing these may now be too small. But I will be fair and wait and see.

The toe strap is broken and looks like they’re used/worn…so disappointed

I paid way more for these shoes than I would typically pay because I expected them to last a few years like previous Birkenstocks I've had. After less than 6 months of use, the toe loop broke and Birkenstock is refusing to refund or replace as "everyone wears through the shoes differently". So basically I rented these shoes for $15 a month which is outrageous. The store that I bought them from said that the toe loop issue was a common problem and that Birkenstock quality had gone down significantly in the last several years. Birkenstocks is sure not making up for the poor quality with customer service and they have definitely lost me as a customer.

I have owned this identical pair...same color and material for years and loved them. The sole of this pair was just way off. It did not fit my foot ...I can't explain it more than that other than my foot did not adapt to the form.

Show is extremely larger than what I am

After many, many purchases, I have found that I just can't wear Birks. My toes are quite a bit more straight across than Birkenstocks, and left my little toes hanging over the edge, so I bought a few more in wide, but that just left the back of my feet sliding around. So I lost a lot of money, but they are just not cut right for my feet. So sad.

there is no comfort in thm whatsoever,was looking forward to wearing these sandals,very disappointing

I have only had these since August 2020, I have only worn them on during the summer of 2021. The soul has worn on the outer edge of both sandals, I have two other pairs of these sandals and they did not wear like this.
