Good, I always buy a size up to accommodate my high instep otherwise the strap isn't long enough to close. They are worn every day here in Arizona and unfortunately only last 6 months until one of the toe straps breaks off (usually the right one).

I have a bazillion Arizonas in 38N. After reading a lot of reviews, I decided to get these in a 37 regular and I'm glad I did. The fit is perfect. A 38 would have been way too big. The regular width fit my foot almost exactly like the 38Ns I usually get, so I would also say these run a little narrower. I'm giving three stars because of the inconsistent fit. Not sure why Birkenstock can't make these to fit like the Arizonas. Zappos is great with returns, but not all retailers are, so the lack of consistency could end up causing some hassle.

The Habana Brown Leather Mayari are my favorite style Birkenstocks ever; I've purchased THREE pair of this style, but may not ever do it again. The toe strap on my first pair broke; they ended up not being the leather straps (my purchase error!), so I cut the toes straps off and wear them around the house. But now the leather toe strap (opposite foot, so it's not how I walk) on this pair has come loose from under the sole lining. I'm pretty disgusted.

Love the shoe, however, after just owning these and only wearing them for two summers the cork is crumbling and splitting where the ball of the foot bends. I expected more from a sandal in this price range! I take very good care of my shoes, I have protected them in every way the manufacturer requests, sealing the cork regularly. Very disappointed. I spend far too much money on shoes for this to happen.

I was looking for a slip-on shoe that would give good support for everyday casual wear. I'm still in the break-in period, but so far they have worked fairly well. My regular shoe size is a 6.5, so I tried both the 36 and 37 in the Mayari. The arch supports my foot better in the 37, but it's still not perfect. If they came in a 36.5, I think they'd fit perfectly. Hopefully they will conform better to my foot with wear.

So I have loved these shoes very much and am so disappointed that after barely a year, the leather from one of the toe-straps became detached from the shoe bed. Unfortunately, this is the second time that this happened with this same style of shoe. This time, I won't replace them with the same shoe but will pick a different Birkenstock design.

I was surprised at how stiff/rough they were. This was not my first pair of Birk’s, and I was very disappointed. I’ll be returning this style as it was hard as a board and rough on my feet.

I'm a size 8 foot and this was huge on me- almost whole inch too big- plus the toe loop was tight and awkward

I’m a big fan of the Gizah style. I didn’t like this one at all. I returned them. Not only because I didn’t like the style, but they didn’t even send the right color.

I liked the way they looked. Arch was too high for me and weren’t soft enough in heel. Thought heel softness was part of this style

I wanted to love these, even sizing up to try and get a better fit. I have very wide, chunky feet, and the top strap pinched my foot terribly. They were too long for my feet, so the top strap was too tight and my toes didn't slide comfortably into the front strap. I wore them in the house for an hour and while it seemed like the strap wasn't digging in, I took them off to find my arch literally bruised from how tight they were. These would be fine for someone whose feet are long and narrow, but not short and wide.

The shoe is really cute but it seems like each pair of Birkenstocks I get are different these days. These were definitely smaller and much narrower than any pair I've ever purchased. Because of the size issue the toe loop was uncomfortable. For size purposes I usually wear a 43.

So cute but they went back. Size chart indicated 38 for a 7-7.5 but it definitely fit like an 8. Also, the strap around the toe wasn’t constructed well and had a bend that rubbed against my toe. So, the stars are off a bit .. I love Birkenstocks and they are generally comfortable .. this pair just didn’t hit the mark.

The shoe was not nearly as comfortable as I'd hoped. I have back problems and was hoping it would help with that, but it almost seemed to be worse in these shoes. I'm not sure why. Also, after 6 years, the strap broke. While that's a decent amount of time, I have Target shoes that have lasted much longer.

Really cute, got lots of compliments. Only one complaint, the material is not leather I believe and feels more like fabric, so I do worry about the wear. Time will tell, for now I plan to wear them a lot!

This shoe fit me very well, and I thought it was very pretty and well made. However, the top strap was too high for my foot, and the heel was slightly flatter than what I'm used to; so I didn't find it comfortable. I ended up returning it and buying a comparable Mephisto which costs more but is always more comfortable for me.

I ordered these in a 39, which is my usual Birkenstock size but they were too big so am returning. I have pretty skinny feet, but always order in a Normal width. I think I may try something with more straps/upper support. They were so cute I just wished they fit!

I love the 'oiled blue'. I am not sure how and where these are made but this is the second pair I am returning. The right toe loop fit weird on both pair. I have two other pair that are perfect.

I LOVED these shoes for two years but then the toe strap broke. Super comfortable for someone w/ plantar fasciitis. I was so disappointed. After reading other reviews, I am going to try another pair the same style of birks with a leather toe strap this time and hope they last longer.

The style with the cross over the big toe was uncomfortable. Wish they made this colour in Florida style with softbed

Live and learn the non leather do not last as long as the leather ones. Tried the non leather as I liked the bronze colored and also the silver, but have always gotten leather in the past. The toe strap has just broken on the bronze colored one rendering them useless. Granted they've lasted two years but my other Birks that have always been leather have never broken or 'worn' through. Also I use the cork life on them so take good care. I literally put them on one day and poof...the big toe strap was broken off right at the base. Will always go with the leather from now on again, even though I know they do this to get some cuter colors....not worth them only lasting half the life at best.

The birkoflor( or whatever the non leather material is) , is not good in my opinion. I thought I'd give it a try and determined it is not for me. It's a shame as the Mayari style is cute. I own regular Birks in oiled leather and they have held up for years. The leather was never rigid and softened over time as leather does. This material is ruff and nothing like leather, I do not care for it and will never order Birks made of this again. Reading the reviews about this material breaking away at the toe does not surprise me now that I have felt it. I'm sticking with the original Birks from now on, these are way to expensive to feel and act like a cheap vinyl.

I wanted to like this shoe. Loved the rugged-looking tobacco color leather. The arch support and cork base felt good. However, I have long toes (second piggy is nearly 2in) and they would hit the raised lip of the shoe when I walked and the toe strap started halfway up my big toe rather than against my foot like a flipflop. Also the foot bed was quite stiff, which felt awkward when walking due to the high-placed strap, though that might break-in eventually. The normal width foot bed did seem to fit me just right (my foot's a little over 3.5in at its widest) which was good to know since I contemplated getting the narrow.

I so wanted to like these, but they felt too tight in between my big toe of my size 9 feet. I knew there was no way these were getting broke in without some significant discomfort and blisters, so I had to send back. The 40’s were too big, the 39 is too small. My best, true Birk size is 40N, but this size can be hard to come by!
