I LOVED these shoes for two years but then the toe strap broke. Super comfortable for someone w/ plantar fasciitis. I was so disappointed. After reading other reviews, I am going to try another pair the same style of birks with a leather toe strap this time and hope they last longer.

The style with the cross over the big toe was uncomfortable. Wish they made this colour in Florida style with softbed

Live and learn the non leather do not last as long as the leather ones. Tried the non leather as I liked the bronze colored and also the silver, but have always gotten leather in the past. The toe strap has just broken on the bronze colored one rendering them useless. Granted they've lasted two years but my other Birks that have always been leather have never broken or 'worn' through. Also I use the cork life on them so take good care. I literally put them on one day and poof...the big toe strap was broken off right at the base. Will always go with the leather from now on again, even though I know they do this to get some cuter colors....not worth them only lasting half the life at best.

The birkoflor( or whatever the non leather material is) , is not good in my opinion. I thought I'd give it a try and determined it is not for me. It's a shame as the Mayari style is cute. I own regular Birks in oiled leather and they have held up for years. The leather was never rigid and softened over time as leather does. This material is ruff and nothing like leather, I do not care for it and will never order Birks made of this again. Reading the reviews about this material breaking away at the toe does not surprise me now that I have felt it. I'm sticking with the original Birks from now on, these are way to expensive to feel and act like a cheap vinyl.

I wanted to like this shoe. Loved the rugged-looking tobacco color leather. The arch support and cork base felt good. However, I have long toes (second piggy is nearly 2in) and they would hit the raised lip of the shoe when I walked and the toe strap started halfway up my big toe rather than against my foot like a flipflop. Also the foot bed was quite stiff, which felt awkward when walking due to the high-placed strap, though that might break-in eventually. The normal width foot bed did seem to fit me just right (my foot's a little over 3.5in at its widest) which was good to know since I contemplated getting the narrow.

I so wanted to like these, but they felt too tight in between my big toe of my size 9 feet. I knew there was no way these were getting broke in without some significant discomfort and blisters, so I had to send back. The 40’s were too big, the 39 is too small. My best, true Birk size is 40N, but this size can be hard to come by!

I owe several pairs of Birkenstocks. This one ran a little big. Definitely the wrong style and color for me.

The fit and size were fine however, the shoe is so stiff, I just couldn't be comfortable in it. The seem to be well made but, the cork is just a little too stiff for my liking. The look is bulky. Just not my cup of tea. :(

I don't know if this is typical with Birkenstock or with the Birko-flor material, but I was shocked by how hard the entire shoe was. Both the foot bed and the toe straps were very hard, to the point that it almost felt "sharp" and was digging into the webbing between my toes. You would think a sandal this flat and casual looking would make up in comfort what it lacks in sexiness! Sadly, they're going back.

I purchased these because my podiatrist recommended Birkenstocks for my stress fracture. These are very cute; however, the footbed is not nearly as soft as my other Birkenstocks and seem uncomfortable. Also, I ordered my normal size but believe they are just a little too big, so that could be why they aren't very comfortable. I have ordered another pair so am hoping the sizing is not off on those as well....I would try this one again but in a smaller size.

Love my Birks. I have a red pair that fit perfectly but when I ordered the same size in Antique Lace they were too narrow. I wonder if the size was incorrect on the shoes and box but don't feel like ordering another pair right now. So frustrated.

WHEN I WALKED MY LEFT HEEL WOULD HT THE SOLE.ON THE LEATHER SAndle that HAD TWO STRAPS. ON THE THONG SANDEL, I LOVED THE SHOE, BUT THE PLASTIC THONG KILLED MY TOES, I GOT BLISTERS JUST WALKING IN MY HOUSE,. THE TONG NEEDS TO BE A SOFT LEATHER NOT HARD PLASTIC.

The fit was fine, good arch support, but the actual color of the sandals is different from the picture. they look more green than brown.

Hi, Zappos. Loved the birkenstock sandle but did not like the color of leather. I ordered the deepest, oiled brown leather and it looked good online but actual was similar to the tobacco color. Not good with my outfit. So, I am returning. ?

I have these shoes in other colors and loved the color, but thought they felt plastic like and returned them. This style is super comfortable.

Nice shoe but did not work for me due to lack of cushioning on the bottom.

These were at least a half size too big, maybe a full size. Ordering next size down to see if that works. Will find the correct size and keep though.

I wear a 7.5, sometimes an 8. The 7-7.5 was at least a half size too big. I liked them otherwise. Will order smaller size.

Great quality but they definitely have them sized correctly. I’m usually a 5 and a 35 EU sizing but for some reason they list the 36 as a 5. Unfortunately even the 35 Is way too big such a bummer because I really like them a lot.

A size 36 is not equivalent to a 5 it’s definitely a size 6.

I think for the price they are not the most comfortable sandal. The sole fits stiff and they have no cushion for the heel. I returned this item.

Not the biggest fan of these. They are stiff as a board. Was told that you have to break them in.

I just didn't love these in person. They're fine, but the color is just a bit dull. Will return for another style

I purchased these for my granddaughter's birthday in June. The short strap across the toe came loose from the foot in about 4 months time. People have asked her if they were really Birkenstocks because Birkenstocks are usually such good products.
